I had a great experience with two of the Birkenstock of San Diego stores: the Old Town location and Sole Concepts - Gaslamp. I live out of the area and was on a quest for Ugg Tasmans, which are ridiculously hard to get right now. I searched every store in Humboldt County and all the major online retailers, which are sold out. After learning that my local store wouldn't be able to get a pair from Ugg until June 2024, I went back to the internet in desperation. I found these stores online. The Old Town store did not have the Tasmans in my size/color in stock, but they were very friendly and directed me to Sole Concepts, which did have them. I called and was able to get their last pair shipped to me. The person who helped me was so friendly and commiserated with me about how silly this trend is and why are these shoes so hard to get?? Hopefully my daughter is as grateful for the shoes as I am grateful for this great service. If I lived in San Diego, this would be my local shoe shop. If you live in San Diego, you should go there!

Caitlyn is a rockstar! My sister and I came in right at opening on a Sunday morning and she was helping guests back to back swiftly and efficiently. We both tried on two rounds of Birks and she knew their stock and sizes off the top of her head. I left the store with a slightly different sandal, but am happy with my purchase.

Asst Mgr Kira would not honor store's policy of exchanging Birks.The Birks were new, in orginal box, with receipt (within 30 days of purchase), and wore Only Inside my Home while I was wearing socks. But the Birks hurt my right foot, so I hoped to find a pair that allowed comfort without Pain.Kira refused to assist and would not allow me to speak to a manager.Salina BF in black purchased 3/14/23. Attempted to exchange on 4/12/23 to no avail.Whatever happened to graciousness and customer service?

Omg !!! Great Customer Service by Jess H. I spoke to her on the phone told her what I wanted Hoka size color etc... I was there within an hour she brought out 3 pairs. I am very fussy about shoes. She informed me I am going to love them. I love them. Like walking on clouds. No pressure to buy. Smiled the whole time helping me. That's the best customer service I have had in a long time. I started checking gift lists, thinking I'd get a headstart. When I looked around online, and called a local store or two, I found I was looking for a highly sought-after boot. This Birkenstock is convenient to me, with many quality name-brands and had what I needed!

love this place! came in today for the warehouse sale & was so perfectly helped by a cool guy named bobby. he really helped make the shopping experience go super quickly which was great because i was in a hurry. time before that, the girl at the register today w/ the long hair helped me. also super helpful. good shop. they are not pushy w/ the sales yet very helpful w/ helping you you find what would work best for you.

Today was my first time at this Birkenstock location in La Mesa, it's easy to find on University and centrally located. Easy parking on site too. I love Birkenstock Sandals and the Shoes too. Been wearing them since I was in High School. Actually this past two years I haven't owned any style Birk at all, I had a negative experience after I purchased my last pair from the old LG location. The same sandals I have always purchased and I know how many years I will at a minimum get out of a pair, not including repairs etc. well this last pair for some reason only lasted me exactly 1 year, the footbed only made it through one summer music festival. And the sole had worn down almost flat after the summer. So after that dud of a pair of Milanos I took a break from Birkenstock. Well I'm back! I'm so happy we stopped in today and I found exactly what I wanted! The sales associates, were very kind and helpful. I of course had to try on the wrong size 2 times, just to make sure I was still a 39. They were busy but there was just enough staff that the entire experience was awesome. It's a nice and relaxed environment at this shop, and it's great to be able to browse, feel welcomed and not feel rushed. Great customer service. Thank you all for being kind, because earlier this week I had tried to peacefully purchase a pair of work shoes at (Big5) and the shoe guy, would not leave me alone to try on any of the 4 pairs of shoes, just stood uncomfortably over me, and I couldn't even get up and go to the mirror without my babysitter. Not cool. So yes. I completely recommend this location! And next door in the side store, oh boy, did some more shopping there. The manager and her sister who rang us up were great everyone super friendly. And nobody looked at us like we were crazy browsing for over an hour, we will be back most definitely! Love keeping it local and grateful for your knowledge and kindness. So happy with my beautiful sandals and the other pairs of sneakers, this is what every shoes shopping experience should be like. Yay!

We buy all our Birkenstock's at this store , Logan, the manager was helpful with a return and made it a point to make sure we would return a happy customer he was prompt and professional I will never go anywhere else but here they are amazing thank you Logan

*update* beware ordering online. The stock is listed for every store in san diego and their inventory is sometimes wrong.I ordered shoes online for instore pickup on a Friday. The online ordering and the actual store must be seperate because they act like the instore employees can't help me. Every other store I've shopped at never takes this long. If I wanted to wait this long id have ordered this online. I definitely won't be shopping here anymore.
