I just enjoy their dishes. I always get good customer service there. The place is always clean and the staff members are always nice. Highly recommended.

Used to be better about 3 yrs ago. Different owners. They took the cooks recipes from old cook and continued with a new cook. And they still can't perfect his dishes

Burritos are good but the graffiti behind the kitchen should be removed such a toy,, I will return till it’s removed

Just finished a pastor burrito it was delicious. I added the habanero chili sauce and it was tasty. I would recommend people to try this food. It is definitely worth a stop.

Lot of mixed feelings on this one, just missed 5 stars. Staff are great, location is unique (inside convenience store, pay at other counter), getting to and parking are good for the area. Prices are okay, nearly what to expect. Don't remember if there are restrooms. Had asada burrito, and it was good. Bit of char on the meat, very nice, and a good amount of it, but it lacked flavor. And burrito needed more onions. If the meat had more flavor then it would be an awesome burrito. It was very good, but just wasn't as good as I hoped. I will go again, imagine tacos would be great. Parking, back entrance (where parking is), aisles, and counter are all accessible.

Nice little spot to pick up a taco or a brew. Don't expect to get all your groceries here, but it's great in a pinch.

This place does not deserve any kind of star's. Because of their food, no flavor and the owner doesn't know what's in the products he sells.

Unfortunately the best thing I got from this store/market was water.

The sandwiches here are a revelation. They are works of art. I can't say enough good things about them. I feel like vegetarian and/or vegan sandwiches end up being an afterthought on most menus. Topo is a shining example of vegetarian sandwiches being the star of the show. Inspired flavor combos, amazing bread, gluten-free options if you are so inclined. I'm a huge fan of gluten. Give me the gluten, please. That's probably why I don't love their bakery selections. If I'm going to indulge in a sweet treat, it really needs to be worth the calories and I find gluten-free baked goods to be lacking in general. But their sandwiches are good enough to make up for it in spades. Sandwich lovers will be so glad they found this place.

Katherine and Filberto make some really good carnitas tortas. This style of Mexican food is available throughout the neighborhood but Highland Market's small kitchen and dish-assembly counter (what are those called?) manages to turn out consistently good sandwiches. On the occasions I've been there, I've seen a contractor/construction clientele and those guys know quality Mexican from the lazy who-cares variety that gets served from trucks all over the place.

I went to this restaurant a few weeks ago because of my son since he would go almost every day for a carnitas or a milanesa torta. I had never tried the food but one day I went to get him his torta and there was a very good smell to the meat. The cook who's name is Filberto whom I knew from just view. I had never talked to him but I knew him from working as the cashier before being a cook. I decided to try an Asada taco and it was really good. He put cheese that melted into the taco before putting cilantro and onion. I liked a lot so I decided to try something else in the menu and I bought a cabeza burrito and it was good I gave half of it to my daughter in law and she's very picky with the food that she eats but she loved it.

We came in here on the weekend with the expectation of eating at the restaurant next door but they were already closing up and directed us next door. The boutique is cute, decorated like a cross between a little girls bedroom and a candy shop. I like the aesthetic and everything from a child's bamboo plate set for $40, cross body messenger bags, books and novelty gifts. It was nice to look at but the prices were a bit steep. Service was slightly lacking as well. The two women ahead of us were not in line at the counter but were in the establishment before we walked in taking selfies and face timing on the phone. When we went to the counter they decided to make a purchase. There was now an obvious line and the cashier was chatting away. I though maybe they knew each other but was not sure. So we decided to browse while they finished their conversation. When they finished we decided we didn't want to waste any more time there and we took an order of the vegan lasagna home and left since the meter was running. The lasagna was $20 for a small tin. It was literally just vegetables in spaghetti sauce. No noodles, no vegan ricotta, nothing. The establishment is nice to look at, but like Coachella people come here for selfies, to be seen, and to socialize. They are definitely not here for the product or the service.

This place is so crazy overpriced and I just spit out what I bit into. The Asada is chewy and almost inedible. They didn't have pastor, chicken or anything other than asada. I have no idea why this place is reviewed so highly.
