I went here for a smog check. They seemed nice but werw scammy, and ended up charging me $60 for a smog check that they said I wasn't ready for when they could have checked for that beforehand. I've been looking for a new mechanic for a while and if they would have been decent and checked my cars ability to be tested prior to the test I would have used them whenever I needed a mechanic in the future. Instead, they got my $60 but will never get another cent from me. There are quite a few cheaper places nearby, including ones that will let you test again for free if you fail. Do your research and don't end up scammed like I did.

Omag used to be my go-to guy whenever I needed anything fixed on my Fiat 500. He was efficient, fast and very reasonable. Unfortunately, that's no longer the case. My last visit was a complete disaster.I had purchased 4 new tires that I needed installed as well as a smog check for the DMV.When I approached him at 10:30am (after first calling to verify whether it was an appropriate time, which he assured me was indeed), he was far more stressed out and abrupt than I've ever seen him before. His shop is usually quite busy, but it appeared he was now taking more than he could handle. He informed me to just leave my car key in the car and he would call me in a few hours when the work was completed.By 4:45pm, I still hadn't heard from him and decided to check in (I had told him that I needed to be at work at 5am the following morning so I would need to retrieve my car that day). When he answered, he seemed to have no idea who I was, but then suddenly remembered and told me to be at the shop by 5:30 pm. After arriving at 5:30, I had to wait 1 1/2 hours for my car.He told me that a part needed to be replaced below the battery which they removed and replaced after installing the new part. The bill was so much more than I expected (last time I had 4 tires installed, I was charged just over $100). This time, I had to pay over $450 (I was charged almost double what competitors charged for the snag check). However, I thought that my car would be in much better shape based on my previous experiences.As soon as I turned to exit the garage, there was a loud clicking sound coming from below the engine on the axel. Omag said it was just the hubcaps (which I seriously doubted), which he had reinstalled and the sound seemed to go away. However, the sound persisted after leaving the garage and Omag told me to bring it in the following day. When I returned, he just had his mechanics put the hubcaps back on again. I wasn't reassured and Omag had clearly become impatient with me so I just decided to deal with it.The following day, my car wouldn't start. It seemed my battery (which worked perfectly before) was the issue. Luckily, I had a portable jump and was able to jumpstart it, but caused me to be late for work. Upon inspecting the battery, I noticed that three of the nuts were missing from the connectors, leaving the battery connectors loose. He had failed to reinstall the battery properly.At this point, I no longer trusted Omag and just took care of the problem myself, but I feel my car is in far worse shape than it was before he worked on it.I remember Omag had said earlier that he wanted to retire. I feel that, for the safety of any of his customers that is a very wise idea.

We came to the DMV and realized that we'd forgotten to get a smog check. We were about to try to find a place when we turned the corner and found Omag's! Getting in couldn't have been easier, and Aaron helped us right away. He was very nice and walked us through what would happen quickly and efficiently, and we were good to go! Service was a breeze, and unlike other shops we'd been to before, they took as long as they quoted us, and we were able to get back to our day quickly.

This place has been great for me! I met Sarkis the very first time I went to Omag's and he and all the other staff have been wonderfully helpful to me everytime. Their prices are very reasonable and they do great work.

Waited for 30 minutes for a smog check and still didn't get it. Their computer was slow, but wish they gave me a heads up first. They have a lot of customers coming in and out and seems it's a lot to manage. Not the best spot if you're in a hurry.

Omags is the best mechanic hands down. I've been coming to him since 2010 for everything from oil changes, smog, brakes etc. Now I just drop off, say what's up to the mechanics, they call and tell me the issue then they get it done.I've put friends on to his shop some who drive an hour + because they always do great work. They are extremely trustworthy and great on prices. Go to Omags and you'll have your mechanic won't need any other.Services: Smog certification

They gave you a low estimates then charged you much higher after you dropped off the car and waited half of the day. I was told that the estimated cost for my inspection would be from $80-90. I dropped off my car around 11 am and waited until 2 pm they would do the AC filter change and cleared the car diagnostic for $200. I already spent UBER fee and my time so I had to agree with this price. When I picked up my car and the only service they did just changed the filter. For the diagnostics they didn't check my car at all, just clearing the warning diagnostic which I can do it by myself for 2 second! What a scammed place!
