They always tell you is closed so they could charge you more on credit card, they don't take cash after a certain time so you got to pay their High rate credit card charges and this is every night and employee just walking around doing nothing when they could take care of the customers I guess that's their concept to charge more and bad service at night

I used to liked coming to this gas station. It was close and convenient for me until they allow the homeless to come and harass you while you pump your gas. Something as simple as getting gas is unpleasant at this station. The harassment has happened on more than one occasion and they do not like being told no. I've mentioned it to the cashier but she didn't do anything about it. I will no longer come here.

Cheap gas. End of review. If you want a nice bathroom or a sandwich go to Whole Foods. Five stars.

love this gas station, everyone is so nice. They helped my mom, while her keys were locked in the vehicle.

I got gas here at 10:00 am, Thursday Feb 16th. I appreciate the competitive prices. But I don’t appreciate not being able to clean my own windows because someone wanting to make a buck has removed all wipers. As soon as I exited my car, a man on foot without a car immediately approached me asking to clean my windows. I discovered all the window wipers were gone from the receptacles except for the one he had. I mentioned it to the cashier who said that all window wipers had been stolen by homeless people. He also said that the particular man that I mentioned had his own window wiper; saying the gas station’s had a red handle. The cashier went on to say that he appreciated the man offering the service to customers. After exiting, I saw the man did have the company’s only red handled wiper. Not the response I wanted as a customer - feeling extorted by a homeless man - and ignored my an employee who clearly didn’t care.

The prices are the prices. No getting around the cost unless you drive an electric car. They get 3 stars because they need to keep the people away begging for money.

This place has the cheapest gas around. Just make sure you pay with cash not credit or debit. Cash gets you at 10 cent a gallon discount.

The person working cashier left and there’s no one at the store at 7pm …. So no one can pay cash and there’s a line of 10 people for like 45 min and then just left a sign saying “rest period”

So I've been getting gas at this location for over 30 years. I've even helped by informing the attendants of problems with pumps credit card machines etc... I must say the area has decreased in type of crowd more beggars etc... Today I can say the same has happened with the customer service. It is certainly not what I am accustomed to throughout my life. To be fair I had a very difficult day and i had my 2 and 4 year old girls in the car whom i was concerned to leave in the car given the type of crown at this United Oil gas station on corner of W Pico Blvd and S La Brea Ave. I was driving my wife's brand new Lexus for first time and got a low gas warning. I went to this gas station out of my way since it is known for lower prices and customer loyalty. Recently my address has changed and i have many credit cards not all of which have yet been updated with the new address. So when i inserted the credit card I typed the new address zip and the card was rejected with message see cashier. I cancelled the transaction realizing that i have to use the old zip code with that card. I did not want to leave the kids in the car due to the beggars and shady characters. I retried the card with the old zipcode. the card was denied again. and again message see cashier. I tried a few more times thinking maybe there was a typo again card was declined. I called up the credit card bank and inquired if my card was security locked. The rep told me no and that the merchant accepted the initial authorization for $1 and then cancelled it when the zip did not match. I tried again the correct zip while the rep was on the line. See cashier message. The rep suggested to update my address and try again. I gave her the new address with new zip and tried again. Same message please see cashier. I told the rep that i was hesitant leaving my kids in the car while walking to kiosk to talk to cashier and that I would try a closer pump thinking that the vendor's system would treat it as a clean transaction. I moved the car closer to the cashier and tried again. No luck, it seemed the merchant blocked the card at the pump. I hesitantly walked to the cashier as soon as i saw the crowd in line was gone. I explained that the card was getting denied and that it is not my bank. I asked him to clear it so i can try again. He said he had to do it from his terminal and wanted to know how much money my gas fill up would cost. I have no idea to an answer to that question as i wanted a full tank and i never filled up the gar with gas or know its capacity. I told him whatever it takes to get a full tank. I figured as he sees transactions all day for these cars he would have some idea of what a full tank of gas costs for a Lexus. And as i wanted a full tank he should be able to offer me the same service as at the pump or unlock my card so i can do it myself. Usually as part of good customer service a solution is found to this problem. I did not want to keep running back an fourth buying a dollar worth of gas and the only reasonable thing to do is to treat it like a cash transaction where i overpay and then get change. So i told the cashier to overestimate and we will work it out when we know how much gas i use up just as the pump does without him. He kept insisting that i give him an amount which i have no idea of. In haste and frustration on how i was not getting normal customer service or explanation I told him in a load frustrated voice to figure it out or charge the card $600 and then he can refund the difference that way I will have a full tank of gas. I have no idea with the rising cost of gas prices or the tank capacity. As I walked to the car leaving my card with the cashier as collateral, he starts yelling at me to get my card. I turned to pick it up and he tells me like some n*** that he is refusing me service and i should go somewhere else. This all happened at around 6pm on a Sunday. After all these 30+ years being a loyal customer this is the punk that is hired to deliver customer service. I guess the old saying "THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS
