Beautifully restored important history of Mendocino. Docent was wonderful with lots of knowledge of Chinese history in California. It is only open a few days a month so be sure to check the schedule.

The Temple of Kwan Tai is California Historical Landmark 927. A Taoist temple that dates back to 1852 whose mission is to protect, preserve, and promote the Temple of Kwan Tai, its artifacts and traditions and to enhance public understanding of Chinese immigrant history as seen through the eyes of Mendocino County Chinese. The Chinese history and heritage in Mendocino is quite rich and we hope you will come join us to learn more.
