Ralph’s MOST expensive? I might have been wrong.I went to Moorpark Produce today and was astounded that a pineapple was about $6-1/2 and BANANAS were a DOLLAR A POUND! When I was in Ralph’s this week, I didn’t buy some of my favorites because of the gouge prices. I think the bananas were 80¢ / lb and I balked at the $4 pineapple.
But when I went into Moorpark Produce I couldn’t believe the SUPER GOUGE prices. I needed some milk, and DID NOT SEE a price tag. Like a percentage of us, I did not look at the price before I casually (habitually) used my phone to pay electronically. When I got home, I noticed that a half gallon was FIVE CLAMS. Thats about 2.8 times Ralph’s price for the half gallon. I could have bought Ralph’s FULL GALLON for only $4. I felt like such an idiot for not checking the price. I would have left the milk right at the check stand. Not worth the effort to go return the unopened container. But I DID call them and let them know why I’m not going back there.
Price gouging may bring some more profits, but I feel in the long run creates a loss of customers and wasted food, from what doesn’t sell. The store should be embarrassed. GUESS WHERE I’M NOT SHOPPING!

Small tiendita but good produce! It's a small family owned business. Workers are friendly and the meats and produce are fresh. Their spicy longaniza is the best in the area. Highly recommend supporting this shop!

This little Mexican market is extremely convenient when you don't want to deal with crowed at bigger grocery chains. Moorpark Produce offers a full market experience from fruits and vegetables to a full meat counter. The dairy if limited to basic creama and a few Mexico cheeses. They also have a filtered water vending station. For the 5 gallon jugs. Staff is friendly and bilingual so you won't have communication problems if you don't speak / understand Spanish or English. The inside is small and can feel a bit crowded but they basically have no lines so it's no problem.

GREAT people, especially the owners. Great fresh produce, good prices, good meat selection, fresh hand-made tortillas. Easy to pop in and go. Also have water machine to refill your 5 gallon bottles. Cut up fruit on your way to the beach~ would give more stars if I could!
