We scheduled a rental truck for today but they sent us to a super sketchy location. No one answers the phone. We call corporate who sends us to National City, speak to the front desk there on the phone and let them know we're 5 minutes away. We get there and no one is there! Tried to call again and no answer. Don't waste your time with this business. Literally will tell everyone who is moving to avoid this like the plague.

I would never usually spend this amount of effort in warning the public about how bad a company is, until now. Do NOT under any circumstances rent a truck from Penske. They left me and my family out with a truck that had no working headlights. Bad thing for me is I realized this at dusk, in the middle of the desert with no way to see in front of me. Major safety issue. Took a day to fix the headlights, cost me a large hotel bill even though we never made it there because we were stuck in some small town waiting for Penske to send someone to fix the truck. Had more issues and bottom line was left with an additional $1,000 in expenses and time lost moving my family across the country.

Ashley is Rude and Unprofessional. I do not recommend this location to anyone. Decided to extra charge because they decided to close when I was supposed to return the vehicle(was told it was ok to return the next day, by the person who rented it to me) and was expected to cater to their time. Rental agreement never included any of these terms and when I stated the obvious, all I got was, “ well, I’m telling you know!” With a really nasty attitude.

Very unprofessional was closed for an “emergency” when I went to return the truck. Came back the next day and was charged an extra day for not returning it the day I was supposed to talked to ASHLEY and she was very rude said I was supposed to return the day prior when they were closed on business hours ! DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Home Depot said they had these Penske trucks at the same rate as their vans available to rent. They got a sweet contract with you all. Cool! So I drive all the way over and they ask $267.36 to rent the van for 2 hours. Couldn't do a better job and upsetting a customer. You all get a gold star in the bait and switch and the disappointment category.

I rented a van on 09/25/2021. The staff checked the fuel and told me that I needed to fill up 3/4 tank of gas when I returned it. However, I drop off at The Home Depot at 725 Plaza Ct, Chula Vista, CA 91910. They told me that I had to fill up the whole tank!! How ridiculous it was!

Called ahead explained what issues I had. Fairly simple. The tech said he didn't have a simple headlight or turn indicator lamp. Which is exactly why I diverted my trip. A complete waste of 2 hours and an extra 4 miles or so. No restroom or waiting area. Very disappointed

Great customer service. As long as one has proper DL & CC along with the security deposit in bank account. Rental will go smooth.
