I absolutely love Stacy and supporting her passion and wisdom in knowing what this community (and beyond) love. Her choice in books is impeccable and the kids section is the best I’ve EVER seen. And if for some small chance she doesn’t have what you’re looking for, she will have it there at the drop of a hat. I’ve been to a lot of book stores, in a lot of places and Harmony Books is my favorite. Thank you for being here!

Love the selection of books and I appreciate that the owner (Stacy) doesn't hover or interact with customers unless we have questions. She is personable if you want to interact, but when I go to a bookstore I want to browse and read. This is a wonderful local bookstore and if they don't have what you are looking for, it can be ordered. It's also been covid-safe, everyone always has masks on and a limited number of people are allowed to browse at any given time.

Fantastic independent book store! They have a great selection and if they don't have what you want, Stacy will order it for you- she's the best!

Amazing selection, packed to the brim with books and fast special orders. Owner knows the books like the back of her hand.

I like to support local bookstores, and have frequented this one often but I'm officially tired of it. Every time we walk in, no hello, no how can I help you, nothing. She'll finally take her nose out of a book (it actually is too cliche to be more interested in books than customers) to ring you up and get her money. But not even then do you get a hello. I REALLY want to help subsidize local stores and have no problem padding two or three dollars on each book to support local. But if you won't even say hi or thank you or anything other than “you ready?†when I have my wallet open, then I'm just going to buy from Amazon.

What I've always found outstanding about the owner is that every time I or anyone else I've seen in there asks about a book or an author she knows right off the top of her head whether or not she has it, where it is in the (packed on every shelf) store, or if she can get it, how soon etc. I don't know how she does it, but you can really tell the care and experience that's put into this store. Yay for local, longtime serving the community, mom and pop shops standing tall. Thanks

Great old building with an interesting bookstore. A little to new age for my tastes but it did have a nice section of California and Gold rush history.

Good books and lots of Tarot cards! Love the vibe of this old building also.

This store is small, but has a good selection of good books and the owner will order anything I request and usually get it to me within 2 days. Lots of travel, philosophy, art, serious fiction. Not a lot of gimmick books and genre fiction. It's kind of like a grocery store that has a nice produce section but not a big selection of chips and soda. Another poster didn't like it that the owner didn't greet her and said few words at checkout, but I think that's normal for a bookstore--like a library. It's different than a restaurant or clothing boutique or something. When I shop at a bookstore, I prefer to quietly browse and not be peppered with "how are you doing?" and "can I help you find anything?" Anyway, since I work nearby, I always call Harmony when I need a book and just walk over there when it's ready instead of using the evil Amazon.
