Be very cautious renting paddle boards from this place. Horrible service! Taylor the owner is a complete liar. She charged my Credit Card for 2 Paddle Boards when I had only rented 1 board. I noticed the charge after I received my CC statement and was reviewing my charges. I called her and kindly asked for her to refund the charge and she denied to do it. She told me (after the fact) the place I rented the board from had a 2 paddle minimum. So she charges my card without my authorization and without having informed me when I rented that there was a 2 paddleboard minimum rental. Be careful dealing with her, check your statements after she charges you. Also all her boards and paddles are dated and damaged.

So sad. I came here because I wanted to try something new. I showed up 20 minutes early and scoured the park asked multiple parties for if they were bliss yoga and nothing. I finally called and spoke to a Taylor who told me to wait by the van, which I did for 10 minutes and nobody showed up to greet me. So I called again and Taylor was so rude to me (very not yogic) told me it was my fault because other people found the instructor and he had been by the van (he had not been) and said they couldn't give me a refund and made me cry. The entire experience was extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional. I came for a fun new experience and left in tears because Taylor was so mean and Shawn was nowhere to be found - and out $35. Highly unprofessional company and not the yoga experience I was looking forward to.

I'd give zero stars if I could. Taylor, is extremely unprofessional and a liar. I booked a class via ClassPass only to have Taylor text me at 6am the day of the class (the class is at 10AM) asking if I can come the next day instead. She did not wait for my response and canceled the 10AM class, without reason. Taylor blamed the cancel on rain... except it wasn't raining at all, it was a beautiful day. I live in Newport only about half a mile from the location, not sure why she'd lie about the weather. I will be reporting this unprofessionalism by Taylor to class pass.

I made a reservation through Classpass.com. 1.5 hours before my reserved rental for a 2 hour beach cruiser, I received an email saying my reservation is cancelled. I called and reached voicemail and left a message. I never received a call back. I went to the storefront and there was a sign saying: "At beach, call ,(the number I called earlier). I did however, get my credits back so I am not giving one star.

Amazing experience! Dawn was my instructor and I lucked out and got a 1 on 1 session with her! She was so kind and great at explaining the basics of SUP. Once the yoga session began, she was so helpful and provided enough space to allow me to listen to my body on the board :) I definitely will come back and try the ocean class in Laguna Beach. Thank you so much Dawn!

Five stars for the workout (13 credits on ClassPass, which is a bit steep, but a pretty unique way to incorporate fun in the sun and fitness I think it's $35 via their website). Chelsea was encouraging, took great photos that she shared with us after, and was super clear and concise with her instructions when we were finally out on the water. Not sure if it was just this particular class, but there was no real welcome or basic introduction to the boards, what we would be doing/where we were headed or just general group bonding whatsoever (I've done SUP yoga before, so no sweat for me, but I can see a first timer wanting more care and consideration given to the first part of class). There were also too many of us (11, I think?), as we were all really close, stacked on top of one another once out on the water/tied up to the anchor, so it's one thing already not wanting to fall in the water, it's another not wanting to fall on your neighbor and THEN in the water! Know before you go: -Once you sign up, you're emailed a waiver. Sign it electronically and that part's over. -Not sure if they have different meeting spots for different time slots or classes, but there's no reason to go to their storefront on Newport & 28th, because the paddle yoga class meets on the Marina side of Marina Park, between 18th and 19th, so you'll want to park around there. -There's a white, unmarked van that will be unloading paddle boards; that's when you know you're in the right place. -You don't need to bring anything, but if you have a bag/your keys with you, you can leave it in their van, which they lock. -Apply sunscreen just before going out on the water and apply liberally, as you are just directly under the sun for a good hour and a half. -If you want to wear a hat and sunglasses, bring ones that you don't care about. You may lose both. -No need for a phone either, as mentioned above, the instructor will take care of that for you -You need some basic yoga knowledge. Yoga can be difficult enough for some people on land; it's much harder on water (that moves)

I had an amazing time with my yoga instructor Irene for SUP yoga. I had only been on a SUP board once before, however, she was super knowledgeable and gave great tips for feeling comfortable on the board. After about 10-15 minutes on the board, my body acclimated a little more, and I started to feel more comfortable. There is nothing like yoga on the water. Once you start to feel comfortable on the board, going through the vinyasa flow feels natural. Some poses are certainly harder on the board (warrior, tree, etc.), but she gives a lot of modifications to work up to the full pose. The class is in an area surrounded by boats, so that also prevents a ton of rocking on the board. Irene was a fabulous teacher and I would absolutely not hesitate to recommend her class to anyone. Tip for finding the meeting place: I would call the day before to confirm the meeting location so there is no confusion. We ended up meeting at a place that was different than the one on the confirmation email, after the owner (Taylor) texted me that morning.

Yoga in the water is definitely different than yoga on land, and if you haven't tried it, I would HIGHLY recommend you allow yourself this mental/physical challenge. While the conditions might seem mentally challenging at first, perhaps you might feel instability as a harbor wave greets you, once you regain your stability and realize how stable the paddle board is, most of your fears should dissipate. Our instructor Anthony is experienced, challenging, yet patient. Its clear he has been practicing and teaching yoga for some time. During our 1.5 hours with him, he goes over the typical Vinyasa movements with some adaptation so that the posture is more fitting for the given conditions. He even allowed for a little bit of free time to practice headstand and crow. That sense of accomplishment as one conquers one's doubt while absorbing the beauty surrounding oneself...is priceless Pro tip: Save yourself a walk and some change, store location and paddle board launch location is about 10 streets apart (29th street vs 19th street). (If necessary) Stop by the store first to check in and drive over to the launch location 19th street and try to score some free street parking in front of Marina Park (street parking on Balboa Blvd not the parking lot nor middle center divider as those has meters).

Horrible experience! My experience with Bliss happened over two weekends. The first weekend friends and I were vacationing in Newport and wanted to try paddleboard yoga. We booked the classes online and called Taylor (the owner) the morning of the class to get directions. Since we were new to the area, we thought we could walk it. Turns out the walk was longer than we thought so once we learned we would be late, we texted with her. We got to the pier 30 minutes late and

We were in San Diego from Wisconsin hoping to try a SUP yoga class and found Bliss online. Dana was waiting for us and walked us through every step. The class was challenging but the instructions were simple. We had a great time and the next time we visit will definitely do it again. Dana was kind enough to take a few pictures of us on the board which I am very excited to see since we could not take them ourselves.

Our group of 5 (1 local, 4 visiting) was mislead by the owner on cost to work in her favor. Will never recommend doing business with this Company to those local or visiting #RipOff
