Not sure what’s up with the bad reviews. Everyone is super kind here. Jessica Contreras helped me open a new biz account. She was awesome.

Won't answer phones. First, wrong number listed. After 10 min searching correct number found and updated this listing, but they would never answer their phone during normal hours.

If I could 0 stars in order to leave this review, I would do just that. The poor customer service experience, lack of communication, and the incapability of employees to perform their job functions at a fundamental and basic level is astonishing. I wasted my time by coming into the location, only to meet with an advisor, Jennifer Hilgers, who made me open my own account, incorrectly advised me on how to move my money to Chase, and did not take any action in terms of resolving an issue. The carelessness of the employees, customer service, and management is one you should not do business with. From all my years of banking and investing, Chase is the worst one yet.

never got any good service from this branch or this bank. they continue to disappoint. low level service. nasty snotty attitudes. they dont care who they hire. disrespectful to clients. overall a below par low level bank. the other locations are no better. im taking my money out and leaving. they are the worst. your complaints dont matter to them. they continue on their poor service and lack of training or putting the customer first.

I can’t speak to a manager to have them push a massive check through that is on a ridiculously long hold. I have been banking with chase for years, so these 1-2 week holds on a $30k plus checks is EXTREMELY inconvenient when I thought I had built trust. I know there is a number I can call, but when I called they said I would have to go in to speak to a manager, who just happens to NEVER BE IN THE BANK AVAILABLE TO TALK.Good luck getting anybody here to care about you, even when you filter hundreds of thousands of dollars through them.

I attempted this location not wanting to return to the one near my home. It was not terribly busy. I was not acknowledged when I walked in, sat down, no sign in sheet (is this not a thing anymore either?) and waited. Waited,,, waited... didn't want to interrupt the one person being serviced that even walked away to use the restroom and still was not acknowledged. Finally, walked out. Made eye contact with plenty of workers. That's Newport for ya'

They do not accept coins because they dont have a vault space. Not sure how can a bank be out of vault space.

Kevin mounts is amazing I recommend you going to him with any situation you have he's the best and will get your situation resolved in a timely manner and that same day for you. I've been to other chases and he's honestly the absolute best, he should definitely get a promotion. Kevin mount is the man!!!!

I went into this branch today after my original branch on Balboa Blvd. still remains CLOSED. So o go into this 1000 Irvine Ave. branch because I needed to go to CVS. And it took less than 30 secs to be offended by a shorter male in his 40s. I had also forgotten to wear my mask inside. I haven't been doing much, and just plain forgot about the mask thing. You see I'm suffering from some other than covid-19 health problems, and the whole lockdowns and such have made my care more difficult. And there are ZERO checks & balances on this. After putting on a mask & sitting waiting for a few minutes, a heavy set female about 50 asks how she can help, and I proceed to share some problems I've had with Chase recently, and I've got a short checklist of things to discuss. And then the minute I share I am facing health problems, and covid-19 mandates have complicated it as I slowly move to get out of my chair & gather my materials to discuss, this woman says "I don't care about your health. I only care about following covid-19 guidelines. And there will be mo talking of politics. Meanwhile I hadn't mentioned politics or names or political parties, only that I'm having a difficult time. I live with a disability from hydrocephalus, and have undergone 12 brain surgeries for this. In answer to her comment about my health, I answered, "You'd better care. I just moved a bunch of money into your bank. The woman was fairly "hostile" and unfriendly during the entire 15 or so minute meeting in her cubicle. She wasn't able to answer my questions about the Chase web site & account security, and then before we finished, her male co-worker, the one who had rebuked helping me when I walked in, called out "some words" over our cubicle, which she answered to in words I couldn't understand (it must be code language there), and then this guy raises the blinds in our cubicle fully open all the way to the ceiling - leaving me staring into the sun thru the cubicle's Northwest facing window at 4:45pm. I took this as a signal for me to LEAVE, and shortly ended our meeting. Considering that this bank rep (she never gave me her card or name or title) wasn't able to address my needs today, I would have been better off calling the Chase 800 line. I prefer face to face on important matters. I would never use this branch for banking. I'd always had positive encounters at my normal Balboa Blvd branch that's been closed for more than a year. And had positive experiences the couple of times I visited the Fashion Island branch. In closing, I couldn't understand the hostility with the two reps I spoke with, other than they have a non-inclusive expectation of customers they wish to help - and I didn't fit that.

Both Drive Thru ATMs are not working. One of them stop working months ago and they don't fix. Another one currently unavailable. Good brand bad business.

I opened a business checking account at this location when I opened my business because my husband has his business account through them. I figured it would be easier if both our business accounts were at the same bank. I had an appointment with Sean F to set up my account. When I arrived for my appointment, I had to wait 15 minutes before I was helped. Fine, I get that other appointments can run over and you can't help that. He was telling me that they want to have more interaction in-branch to "build that relationship" with their clients. Sounds good, right? HA. I couldn't contact my "personal banker" if my life depended on it. When I finally got my business card, they didn't even put my name on there correctly. I call in and cannot get a hold of a single human. It went to voicemail every time. There is not email for your "personal banker". After almost an hour going in circles with the automated system and being put on hold, someone told me I had to go into the branch to get my card corrected. So I did. Good ol' Sean was there and proceeded with the fake apologies and said they'd get it corrected and had me review the screen to make sure they would get it right when they sent the new card. He told me I'd get it in 5-10 business days... so I wait... and wait.... months later, no card. So I call in and tell them my card never came. They expedited my card to me, and guess what... it's all wrong... it's the same wrong information as the first card. Once again, it's impossible to get anyone on the phone at the branch. I ended up going back to the bank and closing that business account. Don't listen when they promise you all these things and then drop the ball on the MOST SIMPLE of customer service things... like answering the phone. It's all BS.

I have been a Chase customer for 25 years. Chase had my email address and phone number, but failed to notify me that one of my lesser-used cards had a $32.96 unpaid balance. That card had a $20,000.00 limit. Because Chase did not update my mailing address when I moved, and chose not to call, text, or email me despite having all three methods to reach me, I lost 140 points on my credit score, Chase took all of my Sky Miles, and canceled my credit card, which I'd never been late on in 15 years. I'd have expected more after 25 years as a customer. Choosing to ruin my credit and multiple-decade banking relationship over a $32.96 balance on a $20,000.00 credit line without so much as an email or telephone call? Chase's "Credit Bureau Liaison" confirmed that "it's not Chase's policy to email, text, or call if a payment is late." Wow. Words cannot express how negatively I now feel about Chase. I won't be shy about sharing my experience with everyone I know, so they can avoid vesting decades of good faith doing business with a company that would handle a situation like this so poorly.

I don't know if it's all of Chase but this branch has horrible service. During this Covid crisis I am able to do business almost normally at a competing bank. How much more of an essential service can you be than a bank. Figure it out!!!

I have an open dispute with chase due to covid19, I visited the branch today to scan my dispute papers and the banker that assisted me assured me that he'd email me the information to the dispute center, I questioned "how will I know you sent it" he instructed me to provided my email, so I did. I visited this afternoon around noon and have yet to receive an email with the conformation email and have followed up with multiple calls- no answer. Good thing I'm smart enough to do my due diligence, and certified mail to chase since the branch was not helpful.
