I followed and observed Seashore academy for a few years before it relocated to the Newport/Irvine location. That is when I took the leap and sign up my boys for CAMP and then to elective day on Fridays (my eldest had 1 camp at Temple beth). My boys loved and literally requested to be dropped off at Seashore again (we mostly Homeschool after leaving full time Montessori/ ENC and Christian schools). The kinder class was patient and efficient with my younger child. They were accommodating and helped him thrive. We having partnered with Seashore for long, but after vast education on schools and alike, I am comfortable to recommend seashore as an education center to the academics and overall being of children. My family and I have loved every minute being with Seashore Academy. From the class sizes, the teachers and staff, their educational philosophy and approach, flexibility with scheduling, events put on throughout the year, and their persistence through hardship—they are the best! I’m so grateful to have found them. I worked in public education for years and there are some things that really stand out to me:
1. No screens
2. A lot of outdoor time
3. For birthdays, events, and holidays there are no sugary junk foods (this is huge)
4. The small class size allows the students and teacher to know each other better and have more positive relationships
5. The teachers and staff are incredible and truly care about the kids, their experience and education
We have also been truly impressed with our daughter’s progress from the beginning to the end of kindergarten. She went 3 days/week and now reads full books, writes full basic sentences, can add and subtract, can properly identify coins and count money, and more. It really goes to show that quality education does not need to take 40 hours/week.
I highly recommend Seashore Academy!

After a nightmare experience at a previous school, we made the mid-year decision to transfer our son to Seashore and it was the best decision we could’ve made.
Two stressed parents, deeply worried about the well-being of their 5-year-old boy, walked into Seashore hoping (and praying) for a safe place where he could thrive. We were met by a team of professionals who truly see children for who they are and what they need.
It started a bit bumpy, understandably so, given what our son had gone through, but within just a few weeks, everything changed. We started picking up a happy boy. We received warm, thorough updates. We felt him coming back to life.
To our incredible teacher, Ms. Wiltjer, the GOAT, we love and appreciate you endlessly. Your patience, skill, and HEART made all the difference. Thank you for giving Ace all the love & encouragement. You will forever be his first (teacher) love.
To the amazing principal, Mr. Harrison, thank you for your kindness, leadership, and for creating an environment where every child (and parent) feels seen and supported. Your involvement did not go unnoticed.
I truly cannot rave enough about Seashore. The staff. The students. The community. Every interaction is filled with kindness, warmth, and genuine care.

My kids have been growing up at Seashore Academy for many years and it’s our family. The education is ahead of public and the kids learn more in such a small class size. I am so proud to have provided such a great education for my children! I can’t recommend this school enough!

Amazing curriculum, wonderful teachers, great admins. We had another great year in Seashore where our kid is thriving and looks forward to go to every morning! After having awful experience in another private school, Seashore Academy saved us and gave the best care and education to our child! Seashore Academy has been one of the best decisions we’ve made for our daughter. Before joining, we were worried about her struggling academically—but her love of learning is back, and when she puts her heart into it, she’s actually ahead of grade level. She comes home excited to tell me what she’s learned, and that feeling is priceless.
Core classes are offered Tuesday through Thursday, with flexible options on Mondays and Fridays, so you can design a schedule that really works for your family. Each subject is taught by a different teacher, which keeps things fresh and lets kids experience a range of teaching styles. The curriculum is thoughtfully chosen—Singapore Math is used (which I love), and they also offer incredible programs like Toastmasters, entrepreneurship, and applied math. Sasha just participated in their Entrepreneurship Fair, and it was amazing to see her learning real-world skills with confidence.
The school is screen-free and sugar-free, which aligns beautifully with our values. They’ve partnered with Choice Lunch, so I don’t have to worry about packing lunch every day—Sasha gets to choose healthy meals and snacks through an app, and it’s one less thing on my plate. Most of the learning takes place outdoors, which means she’s soaking up sunshine and getting her wiggles out while learning.
What I love most is how much the teachers genuinely care. Ken, the head of the school is on top of everything! He connects well with both kids and teachers. The love and care they put into this school is real. The founder, Marlene, has poured her heart and soul into creating something truly special. Even though the location changed, we happily followed locations—because the community, the values, and the experience are unlike anything else.
They’ve even partnered with Best Academy Charter to offer credentialed oversight, math testing, and academic tracking at a much more affordable rate than most private schools. There’s no fluff—it’s just a place built on love, respect, kindness, and inclusivity.
I’m beyond grateful that we found a school that fits our family so well. I’m even considering it for my older daughter, and honestly, I wish they would expand through high school. That’s how much I trust and love what they’re building.

We had a great experience with Seashore. Sadly had to move but for our kids that was their favorite school. Perfect place if you homeschooling without the stress of wondering if they learning enough without the typical school stress of overworking kids with unnecessary information.

Wow! I have never seen our daughter happy to go to school. She is thriving. Seashores offers smaller class sizes and the teachers and staff are beyond helpful and caring. We love Seashore Academy.

We have sent our daughter to Seashore Academy for almost a year now, and it has been the best decision we could have made for her. Marlene and her team do an amazing job with their students, and their program is outstanding. My wife and I are very thankful that our daughter is a part of the Seashore family!

We love Seashore. It’s a great place for kids who are active and outgoing. They teach real life skills (finance, entrepreneurship, money management, product design). The staff is very nice and care a lot about the kids. Our children have shown a greater interest in learning since we put them there. It’s not for everyone. If you are looking for a really strict and structured education this might not be the best. If you are looking for a well rounded education with a little more freedom for your little ones this this is a great option.

Our son has been very happy whenever he’s at school. He says that he has so many friends and that his teacher is always helping him with his math. I’d never seen him this eager and always looking forward to school days! We have moved him from 1 day to a full-week schedule. Whatever it is that you are doing at Seashore, please continue as it really helps bring out the best in our kids. Kudos to everyone at Seashore Academy!

Seashore is an amazing place for kids! My daughter looks forward to going to school. Teachers are attentive and kids are wonderfully respectful. The staff is so kind and helpful. Could not have asked for a better place for my daughter to learn and make friends.
