Buyer Beware! I am writing this on behalf of my 69 year-old father-in-law, John Seekircher. His words below:
I have never written a review on a company my whole 69 years of life, but this time is out of necessity, Buyer Beware!
In October 2020, we renovated our house in Montauk. As part of the renovation, we were looking for a stainless cable system for our outdoor decks. Our contractor made it very clear that we were across the street from the ocean, and that we should consider ordering the Feeney system because even though it’s the most expensive, their hardware is superior and used on marine vessels. The cost was over double the price of the competition, but our contractor was told by the Feeney representative that their product was the Rolls Royce of wire cable systems. We were willing to pay for top quality, rather than have any issues. And we assumed a company with such an expensive product would stand behind it.
We finished the project in April 2021, and by October we started seeing light rust stains on various pieces, not all. Over the winter the rust got even worse, as these attached photos show, but they company said they couldn’t address the issue until the spring, when temperatures were over 50 degrees.
In March 2022, Feeney sent someone to clean and seal the wire system. They also sent us a copy of the warranty, which stated the wire system would need to be cleaned and maintained periodically, which was never brought up when purchased. The whole purpose was to get stainless steel system that wouldn’t need maintenance that frequently. Our contractor was not told about the high maintenance factor from the Feeny rep, and he was embarrassed that he recommended them, as you can imagine. Every page of their brochure says LOW MAINTENANCE.
By summer, we started noticing stains coming back again. Being in the metal business, I can see that the rust between the parts in the system can’t really be cleaned without being taken apart. They offered a surface cleaning, but the problem is unfortunately the overall quality of the parts.
At this time, Feeney has not offered a remedy for this situation, and is blaming the contractor (of course) and not accepting any accountability for their substandard parts. They aren’t all discolored and rusting, only certain parts in the system. This shows that the quality of their stainless steel varies from part to part.
I am writing this so homeowners and contractors avoid using Feeney in their projects, thus avoiding lawsuits and unhappy customers.

Product started rusting within a couple months of installation. Customer service and management at this company has dodged all attempts to resolve the issue, kicking the can down the road, claiming that "normal maintenance" is required even though they mislead customers by marketing their product as "low maintenance" and the rust appeared not after several years, but a matter of months. We have tried numerous times to speak with ownership and management and have been blocked or ignored each time. Complete lack of accountability and shocking disregard for their customers. You're better off buying the cheap version at Home Depot or Lowe's than ever shopping here.

Poor customer service. When you request a quote they want exact dimensions but when they provide quote they round up and try to over sell you. Unfortunately I fell for this and ended up with $720 of material I did not need. The box was unopened but they have a zero return policy. When I first talked to the person that quoted my project she admitted she rounded up and could see where I had extra. Said she would talk to her manager and get me a credit but would be less shipping and the packaging material. Couple weeks went by and when I followed up with her she said she still needed to talk to her manager. Another few weeks go by and when I follow up with her again she said she was not able to give me a credit. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

This company has horrible customer service. My contractor has been trying to place a $20k order with them for three weeks. I guess they just don't want the business. Sounds like there needs to be more competitors with similar product offerings.

FANTASTIC customer service. I placed a large order very quickly and easily with Dan. He's great! Very friendly and informative. The next day, the order was already fabricated and ready to go, but I wasn't. I had to put a hold on the order until hearing back from my client. Dan surprised me by saying that this was no problem at all. When I finally went ahead with the order, all went very well and the cables were beautiful. Highly recommend!!!

These guys and gals are great. If you'd like a hip contemporary look of a cable fence, this is the place. DIYers, like me and my my hubby, thought the customer service was great. We had a million questions and they answered all of them. Even when I went in with my goofy little sketch, they helped me figure out exactly what I needed. Our fence turned out great!! Thanks to Feeney!!

This was going to be a zero star review, after the service I received from "Vern" - being kept waiting to buy a $35 wire cutter for 25 minutes is inexcusable. I walked out in disgust. Fifteen minutes later, I received a call from "Daniel C. Gaxiola" - he apologized and offered me a free cutter. That is good customer service. Needless to say - call Dan (510 496 9053) is you want good service.
