So excited to get some fettuccine for my birthday, they didn't have any. They suggested fettuccine sauce on spaghetti noodles :( I was very disappointed because the last time I came here it was more of a mom & pop restaurant. It looks like someone bought it & modernized it, how sad. Will not be back...

Came here for my birthday to have chicken fettuccine only to be denied. They were going to switch the fettuccine noodles with spaghetti noodles, no way! We went somewhere else. Will not be back...so disappointing : (

First of all, this place is great for outdoor casual dining on the weekends - it's in the middle of a charming historical town in the redwoods. The proprietors we're so friendly and proud of their 90 year old legacy serving the community and visitors alike. And then there was the food:Good pizza with generous, delicious toppings - and is allspice in the sauce? ...cloves? Whatever it is makes for a fantastic marinara;fresh ravioli in a bolognese sauce - it was tender and cooked perfectly, topped with plenty of sauce and a bit of mozzarella -- there was so much ravioli we ate it twice;and if you want something to share along with a bottle of wine, get the charcuterie plate. It came in a large pizza box and was a perfect assortment of nibbles to take the hunger off.I thought it was a good value since we had lots of leftovers and enjoyed the outdoor seating so much.

Very disappointed. No more can you go in, sit down and have the soup, salad, bread, antipasto and main dish. The ravioli was good but $23.00 for ravioli and bread? Add a salad it was $32.00 plus tax and tip.. All other restraunts are fully open. I will return when full service is returned.

For the experience we were searching this place worked out great. What we wanted on this afternoon at 1pm: -A solid charcuterie board post our hike -Dog friendly outdoor patio -Something close to our hiking trail -A laid back environment and Nothing too fancy as we were in our hiking clothes and disheveled. -A glass of wine or a beer -Somewhat quick service For our simplistic requirements this place did the trick!

Our party of 3 had a somewhat odd experience here tonight, but please read to the end. We tried yesterday to get a reservation for tonight. No way. And tonight when we arrived we were treated as if they didn't even want to seat us. Finally, grudgingly, we were seated in a table in the beautiful old dining room. Why anyone would want to eat on the patio is a mystery to me. (Do you like to hear cars roll by while you eat? I don't.) I've seldom eaten in such a gorgeous room - the stained glass windows alone are "worth the price of admission." Lovely line tablecloths and napkins, beautiful art work on the walls. But enough about the beautiful venue. The food was absolutely fantastic, almost all of it. We started with the caprese. Meh. We were warned it was late in the year for tomato. The spinach salad? Terrific. But then the mains arrived. My ravioli was, honestly, as good as I've ever had. The brown butter, the sage. My companions asked me to share and I was disheartened. For their part, their lamb chops were hearty and the portion generous, and the salmon also was just delicious. All of it perfectly cooked. We had 5 glasses of wine, generous pours all of them. What started out as an unusual evening ended up just glorious - truly fine food in a beautiful setting. I'm going back, soon, and I mean it. Finally, eating out has of course gotten quite expensive. The evening wasn't cheap but it was a much better value than anywhere else I've been in a long time. I thanked the chef personally (Gabriel) and found him to be a fascinating and engaging gentleman.

I was not a fan of pizza until I moved to Sonoma County, except on those rare occasions when we found ourselves in Occidental. Their pizza and breadsticks are to die for. I love their other dishes as well but haven't had it since they closed the indoor dining- just not the same, I'm afraid. But that pizza, man, it haunts me in my dreams...

Terrible. This is not the main dining room. This is for the Patio that is open during Covid. I ordered 2 pizzas and 2 salads. The pizzas were from a grocery store boxed pizza and so undercooked it required a fork. The Cesar salad was a hunk of iceberg lettuce with a pie shaped slice of some unidentifiable cheese. Dressing from a can - I could taste the tin. I didn't have the courage to taste the other salad. The bill for this wonderful dinner? $95+. I won't be back.

We highly recommend checking this place out for food and a great drink selection. Portions are huge and the service can't be beat! When the owner heard I had celiac and couldn't have gluten, she surprised me with a free gluten free pastry that was incredible.

One of my favorite neighborhood hangouts! Drinks are reasonable, service is good, fun Happy Hour vibe. I love their Caesar salad and various pasta dishes!
