The hotel we were staying at pointed us here. AMAZING breakfast--we had Pat's Hash, Egg Burrito, and Pancake Special. The hash was the best I've ever had--huge chunks of corned beef with onions and peppers sautéed into candy.....

My wife and I have our favorites- eggs Benny for me, turkey dip for her. And despite the pandemic, we were very impressed with the level of service and the quality of food was just like we expect. Just beware the wasps who've also discovered this little gem.

Great place for a full breakfast on their back patio!Super friendly team serving many classic breakfast dishes. We went simple with eggs and bacon. The bacon was nice and thick and my favorite part of the meal. They also had an intriguing lunch menu. May have to go back.

Super legit spot with plenty of seating out back. Friendly staff - Molly was great - treated our party of nine super nice. I had Larry's meat omelette with bacon and the house potatoes. Was really good. Homemade hot sauce was also on hit. Hard to go wrong on breakfast, but also easy to feel rushed or like a tourist, and Bonnie Lu's was great.

I love this place and I go there every time I'm in Ojai if they're open. I was so excited I got to visit there today. Tried the veggie eggs Benedict for the first time and it was amazing! The women who work here are always such a treasure. This is a must for breakfast when you are in town! Great outdoor patio seating!

My kids and I placed an order yesterday for food at 11 AM. At 11:15 a table that came in after us got served. Then at 11:20 another table got served. I asked the server who took our order to check and she said she would. Another 10 minutes went by and still no food. I went into the main dining room to complain and one of the servers, Well an older person who looked to be either the owner or manager looked on, blamed the one who took our order for failing to deliver it to the kitchen. This is really unprofessional to blame someone else. If they had simply said "we made a mistake sorry!" things would've been fine. Instead they blame a coworker. There were five tables for two servers. Completely disorganized operation. I'll never go back! there again

My husband and I drive up to Ojai from Thousand Oaks just to eat breakfast at Bonnie Lu's! We've never had a bad experience and always enjoy both the food and the staff! I never write reviews, but this is a great, down home kind of place!

What a lovely find! Due to covid times, it's been a minute since the fiance and I have had the opportunity to dine outdoors. During out quick trip passing through Ojai from SB --LA, we found Bonnie Lu's on yelp for a quick and delicious brunch bite. For those that love a hardy, classic, all american breakfast/brunch, Bonnie Lu's is definitely the place. Of note, due to covid, they have now moved all of the seating to their beautiful and sectioned off backdoor patio. Their menu is extensive and includes everything from your classic egg dishes to delectable salads. I personally ordered one salmon scramble, but requested it as an omelette. The fiance went with a classic that included several eggs/potatoes and sausage. Overall the meal was delicious and service was great. When you first enter, you will find menus taped on their tables. When ready, you order at the front with the lovely staff. They will then seat you outside in a table of your choosing. You're provided with your own set of disposable utensils and the staff will asked regarding with condiments you want. If you require additional during your meal, they will hand it over to you. Tables were nicely spaced out and cleaned after each use. Super happy that we stumbled upon this cute little establishment with great food, good portions, and decent price.

Great food and amazing service. I got the Elvis special with a side of potatoes. Everything was so good a fresh. They also have gluten free options which is great since my wife can't have gluten. She opted for the gluten free toast which she said was great. They were so busy but the workers were so nice and attended to everyone making every feel welcomed. They have patio seating. We will stop here again when we come back in town.

Absolutely my favorite spot in ojai!! The owner and other ladies who run the cafe and soooooooo nice and fun. We always feel home the moment we walk in. Also, the regulars are all just a great group of people. I can't say enough good things. The food is great!!!! Best tuna melt I've had in my life! Also love the chorizo and eggs! Yum! They made the back patio look really cute to cope with Covid changes and they are doing a great job. Go enjoy and give them some support.

We have eaten here many times over many years and love their breakfast menu especially. It's a favorite joint when visiting Ojai. During current Covid protocol the food and service are just as wonderful! They were so sweet recently making a special request for us while kids were on way to a golf tournament. They put together some little breakfast burritos so boys could eat on the go. Thanks Bonnie Lu's! See you again soon!

I don't know what their COVID situation is, but even though sometimes there's a bit of a wait, the service is always great and the food is wonderful! Very country-yummy, and great portions! The local-hero names of the dishes are fun too.
