Almost every month I have issues with Shield Healthcare. This month is just about all I can take from them after 6 years of dealing with them. They didn't send out part of my sons medical supplies and when I called them, the reason apparently is because our prescription had expired. Firstly they send the prescription request to the wrong doctor, secondly they waited until after our order was due to request it. For this specific medical item, our last prescription was written on November 1st 2022, and so our current prescription should still be good until November 1st 2023. So this month is one of many months that that have shorted us our medical supplies. This should of never happened because even though our prescription is still good I had requested a new one over a month ago from my sons doctor, which was sent out a week after my request. Going to be switching suppliers

Their staff are always willing to help and to make sure that the supplies are delivered on a time. They are always polite on the phone. And they know what kind of supplies my brother needs. I have been dealing with them since last year and they have always been professional. I would recommend them in a heartbeat. Thanks very much for all your help.

This is by far the WORST company I've ever had to deal with. EVERY SINGLE MONTH it's a different issue. I highly suggest you file a grievance with your insurance company and get this place shut down.

I called Shield this morning 8/10/21 to order my incontinence products and I was told by the customer service provider that Shield only carries 1 pullup diaper. When I asked why her response it is our company policy. Then she proceeded to try and sell me on tabs diapers but that was neither wanted or needed by me. This is pure ridiculousness that a healthcare company would only sell 1 kind of pullup diaper. There are over 50 type of pullups but they choose to sell only 1 (the Prevail daily pullup) and the cheapest one at that. Also, to make matters worse they also choose to sell the cheapest booster pads. Why are you in business, if your only going to offer one style pullups. I hope there are better companies out there to receive my products from.

I've been unsuccessfully trying to get my mother's primary doctor's office staff to FAX her prescription to Shield in order to continue her monthly deliveries of much needed products. I spoke to a Shield Team Lead and she was rude with an attitude. I came away with the feeling she was scolding me for contacting her. I'm 60 years plus young with a gentle personality and it was unnerving to be on the phone with her. She told me that my moms last month order hasn't been paid because her prescription hasn't been renewed, I replied that my mother's Medi-Cal has zero share cost and that they will get paid. I have been talking to both the doctors office and Shield for days to get this resolved. Doctor's office claims the order wasn't FAXed to their office, Shield claims they did send the order and it's the doctor's office not returning the prescription!! On most all occasions, the customer reps at Shield are very nice and helpful, except for today, this Lead's repulsive don't bother me attitude has me wanting to change suppliers.

They are the worst! Not helpful rude give you the run around will keep you on hold for 20-30 mins a time claiming it takes that long to reach out to drs when I call and it only takes 5 mins. Not helpful in any way not competent they can't understand that in a medical group there are several doctors working under one dr id and the signatures won't always be the same. They aren't even smart enough to call me by my name kept calling me my mothers name even after I gave them my name and told them I am her daughter. If you have different options go through them these people are a joke

I have an account with you guys for my sons formula which my insurance covers 100%. I m suppose to get a shipment of 11cans every month. I called last week to re order and the lady on the phone went through and confirmed my insurance and said everything was good. My shipment will ship 15 August and she set up another shipment for September. That's all that was needed. She said my insurance covers up for a full year so I didn't need any additional paperwork. I call today 17 August to find out the status on my order. The rep said now I have to sign a paper stating I can use you guys as my supplier and mail that back out before you can supply me. How come the representative last week never told me this. She said I was good. How come Last month when you shipped out my shipment you never told me that I needed to sign paperwork. Now here we are running out of our medical supply and you guys FAILED to let me know what is needed. The representative said she will ship me a curtesy 5 vans until I get the letter which will be probably be in the mail today so mail takes 3 business days. Then another 3 business days to get back to you guys. What the hell is with your medical supply company. I'm glad this isn't a life or death situation. I wil be contacting my insurance company about this ordeal and I will be letting others know so they can at least get a heads up. You guys should of at least either send my the letter to sign via email fax or express mail. This is bull crap.
