I'm disappointed to be leaving this review as I really appreciated having a card store like this to go to when I want to buy some cards, with what seems like a nice guy owner. Unfortunately he's demonstrated two clear accounts of dishonesty that I can't overlook. First, I took him some PSA/CGC-rated Pokemon cards that I was interested in trading. He started "researching" on eBay to price them out and told me that several of the cards I wanted to trade were going for $13 on eBay. I thought that was odd, since I regularly buy graded Pokemon cards on eBay and have been for years. I have over 500 PSA/CGC/BGS-graded Pokemon cards in my collection. I've almost never seen any graded holo Pokemon card go for less than $25, regardless of the grade. But I thought perhaps I overlooked something and agreed to his offer of 70% of the eBay valuation of the cards in exchange for a box of baseball cards.That's where the second piece of dishonesty came in. I asked him why eBay sellers are able to sell the same jumbo packs for $100 less per box and he told me it's because they don't include a silver pack. The problem is this isn't at all true. Not only do the eBay sellers include a silver pack, but the standalone value of a silver pack isn't $100 anyway. I get this guy wants to make money, but dishonesty isn't the way to do it. My personal message to the owner: I'm sorry you interpreted my trusting nature for stupidity. Even if your customers don't realize they were misled or lied to at the moment of the transaction, they can and often do realize it later. I spend several thousand dollars a month on all sorts of collectibles, especially cards. Had you not lost my trust, I would have easily continued to be a loyal customer. I hope the extra $100-$200 you pocketed with your misleading words & demeanor is worth losing me as a customer. If you want to charge $450/box for an identical item that goes on eBay for $350 you're welcome and justified to do so, but don't tell your customer "it's because they don't include the silver pack." It's not true. Lying about eBay market prices for PSA-graded Pokemon cards also doesn't serve you. Goodbye, Strike Zone, and hello, eBay!

The service is really good and the employees are very friendly and helpful, also they are always trying to understand even if they don’t know what your talking about. They constantly check the prices on the internet before selling, so some prices might drop. One downside is that they only give you 70% of the price. It’s better to sell online and buy there.

I extremely needed some money to get out of debt from the high rent and gas prices these days and had a couple of good condition Pokémon cards (1999 Shadow Charzard 7.5 CGC and others!) I honestly wouldn't have traded it. I went to a couple of trading card stores to see if I could get any value from it and at this time, every store I went to offered me $150-$190. I then Came Back To The Stike Zone and it was the best decision ever as they offered me the most out of all the other stores!!! I highly recommend this place and everyone should check this place out! Great deals and offers

The strike zone is an amazing place to get memorabilia it also has a great Pokémon and sports card section the only thing is that some of the stuff is a bit overpriced.

Whenever I'm in town in Petaluma, I always stop by The Strike Zone. They have a great selection of sports cards and trading card games. I just got back into collecting Pokemon cards and they have a deep selection of older packs that are harder to find, along with some of the Japanese sets too. Price points are a little on the higher end of things, but compared to other card shops, you'll definitely find what you need here. Owner's a nice guy, and great to chat with.

Rip off little kids...You can sell a card for whatever price you like, I get that..but when you lie to a kid that isn't cool. My son was interested in a card, owner says he'll look it up on Ebay. Says the card is selling for $65 and gives him a 'deal' at $60. The card in question was really selling for $35..Dishonest and unfortunate. Won't be buying any more cards here. Hope the $30 you squeezed the kid out of was worth it.

These guys are knowledgeable in all sports and very kind and helpful. My son found this place in 2020. He loves baseball and loves hanging out here. Soaking up the knowledge and friendship. As a kid he collected thousands of cards. As an adult some have paid off for him. The collection will never end. Encourage your child to get involved in card collecting. These guys will lead them in the right direction. Fair prices great friendships. What more can you ask for. Highly recommend. Tyler Cordell says hi and he sure misses y’all

I use to shop here until last two times in a row same customer and his two buddies opening Prizm Basketball boxes and with no masks on.Owner just lets the three block whole pack area and open boxes and owner standing there with them no mask just chatting away.I will no longer support local shops and I spend 5k a month every month buy all sports but going to only buy now on E-bay that is it.I waited 20 mins never asked if I needed anything complete joke.Glad I don't drop big money here anymore.Bye Bye

The Strike Zone is the best for any card game stuff you need! The owner Jon takes his time with customers and is a very genuinely friendly and caring shop keeper! He always takes care of anyone looking for any price range, from adults looking for rare, hard to get sports trading cards, to a young adult looking for a couple of packs of Pokémon or Magic The Gathering! They carry all the most up to date and hard to get sports cards. All the most recent and hype MTG sets as well as older collectible packs and boxes! Their Pokémon selection though is UNMATCHED!!!! They have every recent set out in the last 2/3 years as well as every recent Japanese versions, sometimes cards that haven't come out in the USA yet!!! They have a massive selection of older collectible Pokémon packs and boxes and singles!! I have seen everything from Base Set booster boxes to Neo Genesis booster boxes here! Also blister packs of the OG sets and lots of Japanese OG packs for sale as well! THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO! It can be busy sometimes because collectibles are so hype right now but there's no shortage of stuff to geek out on while you wait and when it's your turn, Jon or Patrick will take their time helping you get exactly what you want! I love this place!!!

The Strike Zone is the absolute best when it comes to Bay Area card collecting. I go here frequently with my family. Once a week or so. What really got us coming back though, is the owner John. John is super polite and knowledgeable. He is always super helpful. He is incredibly kind and gracious- particularly to the kiddos I see pop by here and newer collectors. For a mom and pop shop that gets a lot of traffic- he's great with juggling customers and making you feel at home. He remembers things about his regulars. He frequently is sourcing items for collectors too. And even with the amazing customer service, this shop also has a truly incredible selection. And, his prices also can't be beat. Truly can't say enough about the owner though. My kids think he's the coolest. We will be coming here for years to come
