I had a great experience at Pismo Beach Bike Rental. The owner was incredibly nice, very straightforward, and took the time to explain everything clearly about the bikes. He was informative without being pushy, which made the whole process easy and stress-free. The prices were fair and understandable, which I really appreciated. Overall, it was a smooth and pleasant experience. Thank you for making it simple and enjoyable!

Visiting from out of town and was on a loaner bike when it broke down on me. Came across Randy( the owner) and he offered to fix the bike on the spot. He and his wife were very helpful and personable!

We were told we could rent the bike out for 2 hours, so we went and had a picnic. About an hour in they called asking us to bring the bike back because they were “closing early” we ended our picnic in the middle of lunch and rushed back. When we got back the guy was very short and condescending to us and ended up charging us for a broken pedal that was broken and rusted through when we got the bike. I will add the bike was very rickety and rusted through and had been painted over. Overall not a good experience, I’d recommend going to the OTHER bike shop that is right around the corner.

Came in with the family and was basically ignored. Groups that came in after us were helped first, so we just walked out. While we were there, a few customers came in and complained of their rentals having issues. With all that I don’t recommend this place. Equipment looks old and run down, and the customer service is terrible. Will look for other places to rent from.

Their equipment was faulty, and we returned two hours early. This business refund policy was no cash refund even when there electric bike aren’t working properly….

My boyfriend and I were excited to rent bikes on our day trip to Pismo, we chose to rent the couples bike for 2 hours. As passenger on the bike I was extremely uncomfortable with the seat, and my feet didn’t feel quite right on the pedals because the right one was crooked. We decided to cut the trip short and head back, we arrived back to the shop with 1 hour and 15 minutes of our time to spare. When asked for reimbursement for just the hour we hadn’t used, he refused. He was extremely unprofessional and rude. It was disappointing to have to end our trip with on a bad note.

Should have read recent reviews first. Others have had issues with them being dishonest.
Was in a rush packing up 3 kids and we forgot our stroller. Realized the following night and went back about 1030a the next day. They put our stroller in their storage area, and poof it's now gone. Called and spoke with the owner and he says that the area is completely secure and one of the people renting must have taken it. I asked if he could ask the renters if they have it and he said "absolutely not, we don't know who those people are", I asked if we can have access to ask the renters if they have seen it or borrowed it thinking it is a part of the rental and he says absolutely not because it is for the tenants only, then continues and says I really wish you didn't forget it because it's gone.
The 1 star rating is for the lack of service after the purchase. Also the bikes are rusting and brake cables need replacing. We were on a slight hill and had to use our feet to stop as well as full body leverage before we crossed onto an intersection with a stop sign.
If you risk your life on one of these bikes that are unsafe make absolutely sure to not forget anything in their store because they WILL steal it.

This place is terrible. Me and a few of my friends went to rent some bikes. One of my friends has a disability where he only has one leg. So when we rented them and he assured us that he’d be fine we left. And immediately came back after 3 mins because he couldn’t ride it. So we requested a refund for him and him only, they refused to help or to even give him a different easier bike in exchange. Then we proceed to call and ask for an alternative. There was no friendly conversation, was not a very nice man in general ( terrible attitude, no idea how he’s not been removed) . And the fact that he is going to reply to argue with this shows how petty he is in trying to defend himself and lie. I am never coming here again and I am telling all of my friends about this place. It’s just another way you show how unprofessional you and your “business” is. You represented you, your family and business, you did a poor job so nice. All in all don’t buy from here unless you like poor management, low quality equipment and terrible all round experience

Terrible customer service. Beach was closed and our group decided to rent bikes. One of our friends has a disability and wanted to try renting an electric bike. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to ride it and immediately tried to return the bike. Owner wasn't willing to refund $40 for the rental even though he wasn't able to ride it or use it. There are other bike rental shops in Pismo - I had a great experience at Pedego - go there!

Worst customer service I've ever met. Managers were complete douche bags. Bike died while on bike ride and did not refund money. We called the owner and treated us terribly. I do NOT... again do NOT ever rent from this place again. TERRIBLE. On top of all that they did not refund money to my disabled friend who was unable to ride the bike.

Super poor customer service. Rigid and uncooperative. Employee was unhelpful. Owner was rude and unresponsive during phone call trying to address problem with rental. Not ADA friendly. Do NOT recommend. .
