Avoid this place at all cost.Expect to wait at least 30mins. If they're slow and 60mins when it's busy.Horrible, rude and slow customer service. The woman at the front counter has been there for 5 years but she still doesn't know how to her job right.They will double charge you and steal your hard earned money.You must do better Hertz.SMH.

Car was rented by me for one of our company employees. Paid online for a total of $252.74We have rented online multiple times before and never had an issue with pre paid vehicles. The employee picking up always needs to present an additional CC for incidentals and that is never an issue.Upon pickup today at Placentia - Yorba Linda Hle -1350 Yorba Linda Blvd, Placentia, CA US 92870-3833 my employee was turned away from renting as she did not have IN HAND the CC that was used to pay for the vehicle. Her other information all matched and was verified and she had her personal card for incidentals. The employee working for Hertz (name unknown, dressed very unprofessionally in a black sundress with sunflowers on it and an unnecessary amount of cleavage showing) told my employee that there was nothing that could be done to help her. She refused to rent her that vehicle, refused to rent her a different vehicle with her own personal credit card, and refused to cancel our prepaid reservation."Looks like you're out of options here. You can try Enterprise down the street."Now I cannot cancel this reservation because it is past pick up time. This Hertz employee refused a vehicle rental that was paid for and we cannot get our money back. This is absolutely unacceptable. Not only will we never rent from this company again but I staff at this location is rude and should not be serving the public. As far as we are concerned this is theft as we were denied a rental that we had paid for - when this is something that we have done many times in the past.Do Better

On the morning we're planning on leaving on a trip, we get a call from another rental location that they don't have a car available for our confirmed reservation. We then called this Hertz location. They were ready, willing and ABLE to fulfill our need with a great vehicle. No hassles, friendly and professional! Oh.. and even saved us some $'s.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION AND BE AWARE OF AMBER!!!! I recently rented a vehicle from this location. when picking up the vehicle there wasn't really an issue. the woman who worked there was amber...she did her job, but spent most of the time on the phone talking to someone and had a little bit of a stuck up arrogant attitude...but i Just let it go cause I needed to get the car and leave. But.....when I came back to return the vehicle, thats when things got very rude and disrespectful. I brought my sister with me because I was driving the rental and I needed her for a ride back home. I parked the rental and went inside to return it and my sister parked her car in the parking lot. I went in and amber was very rude and had an attitude. She was in the process of helping another customer rent a vehicle, which is completely fine. I get it. so she told me to hold on and she'd be right back. but I later found out when she went outside to help this customer she yelled at my sister to move her car because she's not allowed to park there to wait for me and not only did she yell at her but in a very ugly disrespectful way with a bad attitude. I just spent $400 renting this vehicle and I can't have my ride park there and wait five minutes for me? Amber has a bad attitude and should not be working in customer service. Never in my life would I talk to anybody like that! especially a customer. She really needs customer service training or she needs to find a new job. She's just making this business worse I think you guys need to find a respectable human being. Someone like this with such a bad attitude, and so disrespectful is going to make your business worse!!!! Bad attitude and horrible customer service. stay away from this location!!!!!

The woman that works at the Hertz in Placentia kept arguing about my medical marijuana because I just came from the dispensary and it smelled strong in my purse. Absolutely no smell of smoke in the car whatsoever. But she continued to tell me I can’t even have that in the car when I legally can. I live in California. But she kept arguing with me so I had to tell her that I can smoke it anywhere at any time in front of any cop and the cop won’t say one word because it’s my seizure medication. Finally she shut up about it. But when we came later that day to return the car she had been making other people with an appointment, wait out in the sun and made us wait also for an hour until she got back. And was really rude and snappy. Looked like a snob down her nose at us! She is bad for their business. She should be fired. I would give zero stars but they don’t give that option.

If you cancel your reservation you then have to call them and ask for a refund because their system doesn't automatically refund your money. They are just hoping you don't pay attention to your finances and they get to keep your money. Scam!!

The worst of the worst. Sorry I didn’t see the reviews to go to this store. Visited this car rental company today, terrible experience. The front desk lady Amber was very rude. I rented a car from this store and came to return it in only ten minutes today because I think I should not their business. We drove only two miles with the car This lady took away the key of the car and refused us to fill the gasoline, she just directly charged us an extra $10+ for a gas tank that was two miles short of the one we had when we picked it up. In my opinion this is no different than robbery. Will never visit this shop again!

Rude employees. When returning the car, instead of checking with her staff, the lady decided to accuse me the customer for leaving trash in her premise before taking the car which is not true. Beyond terrible customer service.

I needed a car as my regular vehicle was in for warranty repairs at the adjoining Ford Dealership. Ford sent me over to this store for a rental where I met Amber. I explained to her that I was going to need an eight seat vehicle to to replace my eight seat Expedition that was in the dealer as I was going to take a trip over the upcoming weekend and there would be eight people in the car. She stated that she had one in the lot. When all was said and done, it was only a seven seater. After getting on the phone and the computer trying to get me a vehicle as she knew I was going to absolutely need it for the next morning, she said to take the current one home with me and she would have the proper one available for me first thing the next morning between 8:00-8:30 no matter what. Sure enough, she called me at 8:25 telling me that the car was there and ready. When I arrived, she and her coworker greeted me with smiles and apologized for the inconvenience. "I am sure she sold her soul to the devil to make this happen LOL." I came from the service industry and I know what good service looks like. This was an example of GREAT service. Amber and her coworker were very down to earth, professional and had a can do attitude. She went the extra TEN miles to make sure I was satisfied and treated me like I was a family member. I only wish there were more of her in all of the service industries. She is a keeper!

Yorba linda location. The rudest and unfriendly manager ever. I explained I had bad arthritis and did not want a small car, they gave me one anyways it was very painful to get I. And out of. Returned the car after only driving 20 miles. Gas tank on beyond full and she told me I still had to put gas in it. I left without and was told the gas is $12 a gallon. That is so over charging the public! Hope to never have to use them again.

I had the most awful experience with Jesse at Hertz location in Santa Ana South Main Street HLE. Customer service was of no help, only Amber Rose at this location went above and beyond to make my trip better. She gave me her only 7 seater vehicle at no extra charge even though it was a higher class than what I had reserve. She also made sure my old reservation was cancelled and charges were refunded. I can't thank her enough for being so amazing. For my next trip to southern Cali, I will make sure to have my reservation at her location because I know she is a reliable manager (that won't screw me over like Jesse did).

Do not rent for me.. horrible experience they keep charging my card for no reason after my insurance paid them the whole amount due and keep adding extra charges to my card horrible customer service if going through insurance rental beware just a complete headache
