Brought my wife’s 2016 Honda for an ac recharge over because the ac didn’t work. They immediately told us that the problem for the ac not working are faulty ac parts which are covered by Honda. So instead of charging us a couple hundred dollars he gave us great advice and helped us out a lot. Honda repaired the car with no cost for us.
Absolutely recommend this place if you value honesty and kindness!!!
P.S. this shop was the second that we went to to get a quote for the ac recharge and this shop was cheaper overall.

Very happy with my experience - I came in for a check engine light and slow leak. Ken was upfront about what was wrong with my vehicle and the expediency with which it needs to be fixed. He explained why the part we needed is so expensive and where to get it at a lesser price. My tires were bald - he took care of all four tires for a great price. I was able to pay by phone and have my husband pick up the car. Everything was done within a day and a half.

The father/son working here are so helpful even when you have a same day problem you would like fixed. They ordered a special tire same day and installed extremely fast. They are informative on what is actually happening with your car and wonderful with their service. I will continue to go here!

Amazing service and great prices! Told them I was taking a long road trip and Ken made sure to check my brakes, top off fluids and air up the tires complimentarily. They weren’t expecting to have to replace parts but found I needed some suspension parts. They were ordered and completed within hours. Highly recommend!

After being placed on and ripped off by several individual mechanics I chose to research a local family owned business. The owners of this business took the time to go over all of the issues I was having and give me a Fare quote for pricing over the phone . After all was said and done with the repairs it was exactly as they stated it would be with no surprises. I can't Say enough good things about this father and son team

Took my old 1994 Toyota pickup in for an instrument panel (cluster) repair and also new rear brakes. I was very impressed with both owners, Ken and Jim. Spoke with Ken most of the time and he was very paitient and answered all my questions. I had quite a few questions as I don't have alot of knowledge about such things as "instrument clusters". All I knew was that certain panel lights inside my vehicle were not lighting up anymore, nor was the speedometer or odometer working. Family Automotive had everything repaired within a few days. Another plus for the company is that there's always someone to get your phone call. If their busy, they tell you so and call you back shortly. Excellent customer service all around. I will definitely be using them in the future.

First time here getting tires. Great price, about $300-$400 cheaper than any shop in Placerville for the same set of tires I wanted. The owner was very friendly. I called and had my tires delivered and installed the day after. Found my tire shop.

Ken and James were outstanding helping w a repair on my vehicle. They were able to complete the minor repair in very little time and I was charged a very reasonable amount. Great, honest service. Highly recommend.

Very happy with Family Automotive they are very HONEST and friendly. Took my car there thinking it was a BIG promblem but he found that it was smaller than I thought.
