We stopped by for just an overnight stay. We were greeted with a smile and how can we help you? Luckily they had an open spot and we were shown to our site. The host noticed that we had a flat tire on our tow vehicle and quickly went back for his truck with an air compressor! He stood out in the pouring rain helping my husband get it pumped up so we could get to an auto parts store. SO helpful and friendly! Well maintained grounds, clean, and beautiful river view! We'll definitely be stopping by again when we are in the area.

Great place to stay. I travel for work for 13 weeks at a time and we are so grateful to have found this spot. The view is amazing. It is peaceful and quiet . The management is wonderful and stays on top of the landscaping. We really appreciate the fact that if you are not a registered visitor they are on it immediately! We have not had to worry about a thing being stolen or broken in to! I can not think of one bad thing to say! Lots of wildlife with nesting ospreys right across the river.

Very rude owners/managers they monitor every moving thing on the property and treat you like your up to no good . Wouldnt recomme d.

RACIST OWNERTried to apply here for a long term spot while my husband works on a project in the area. We called and were told we had to wait 48 hours for our background checks to come back. Great! (Or so we thought) called again a few days later and was told “sorry the owner said it’s not going to work out.” I asked why and was told, “he didn’t give a reason.” Well it couldn’t have been the background checks. My husband called to ask to speak with the owner and was told that he was a 70-year old man and he didn’t talk to customers. He then explained that we have glowing recommendations from several parks that we have stayed with in the past. Then when the lady asked which application we were calling about she said, “oh you’re from Hoopa…” They obviously rejected our application due to prejudice towards the area that my husband is from. I wouldn’t waste your time with trying to stay here unless you are okay with spending your hard earned dollars on a racist owned business.

Called Rivers Edge RV Park in Rio Dell CA to find a place for my cousin who is coming into town with her family. I ignored the negative reviews and thought I’d give this place despite the reviews about rude and unhelpful management. The lady who answered was hateful, disrespectful and acted like she didn’t want to do her job and answer questions. It actually seemed like she was trying to convince people NOT to stay there! She told me they don’t have a bathroom on site & I was okay with that but then she said it wouldn’t be a good place to stay since we had 6 people (in a camper that sleeps 8 & has its own bathroom)I told her that we had a bathroom and that that was no big deal. Then she starts questioning why I’m calling for my cousin! I already told her that I live locally and was looking for places for my family. When I questioned her she hung up on me..Thankful we didn’t give our money to a place that treats potential customers so badly. We ended up booking with River walk in Fortuna CA and had a completely different experience. When I spoke with the lady at riverwalk she was friendly, and politely answered my questions.Fortuna is closer to ferndale, Trinidad, arcata and all the restaurants, shopping, beaches and look out points. Rio dell is known for being the trashiest town in Humboldt county but we were going to over look it.

Nice little quiet place close off the Grizzly Creek State Park, the water is a little low, but heck the kids can still get Their hiking swimming on, doesn't close till 9pm and camping is allowed...

Beautiful location and view! I stayed a month. The hosts were very professional, helping me back-in and get acquainted. I felt very safe here as a solo traveler and had super kind neighbors. The Redwoods, and grocery are nearby and I had great cell reception.

I love it here. Beautiful, quiet, and right on the river. Perfect place to walk my dogs on the river bar.Manager couple are so nice & helpful!I've spent a few months here, and it feels like my home.

Don't come here if you dont feel like being harassed! Just did a peaceful stroll through and was peered at through the managers windows then rudely kicked out by some old lady yelling and another time by some rude dude..weird, creepy, and rude!

Quiet, peaceful, lovely. Great staff who are exceedingly helpful. River view and the water was warm in late May. Good cell service and internet. Definitely one of our favorite campgrounds.
