Green Acres is a great nursery and staff to help. But.... be very careful if there is water and it can be very slippery especially if there is dirt. I slipped and fell a few months ago. Had o deal with their insurance company they said it wasn't their fault. This is a short version and there weren't any signs out either Please be very careful the new location in Roseville is very nice but beware.

This is one of those places where you can just spend a chunk of time pleasantly wandering and browsing decor, furnishings, & all things plants! So many delightful things to see in such a large space! We have enjoyed outings here for plants, herbs, & yard decor. Little one especially loves looking at the fairy garden display. While the staff we've encountered at checkout have been friendly & helpful, we find that no one ever approaches us to offer assistance while we shop around. When we've had a question, staff seems unapproachable, just walking on by without making any eye contact.

I love that no matter which Green Acres you visit you'll find consistent quality. The staff members are always nice and helpful and all the plants and supplies I've bought have been great. On this visit we bought a plumeria tree, a heavy duty tomato cage and some other odds and ends. We had a really nice staff member help us find the tomato cages, we ended up missing them our first walk around. I noticed they have a good variety of pots at this location and the outdoor area was pretty sizable. There is also plenty of parking available.

Marshall helped us pick out the best indoor plants to suit our needs! The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed getting to utilize the service of having the plants we purchased repotted at the store. Excellent assortment of indoor and outdoor plants, we will definitely be back in the future!

I came here to the new location in Roseville by the DMV. First of the parking lot is huge compared to there older location which they moved from. The outside was jam packed with everything plant you could thing of..They had rose bushes, sunflowers, tomatoes, peppermint, Daisies..etc..You could go on for days listing the plants..This is a one stop shop for all your needs. The store inside and out is so well organized and the staff is brilliant when it comes to anything plant related. Josh was the guy who helped us find just the coverage plant we were looking for our backyard..Plus the plant doesn't need much sun or water so it's perfect for the location under a redwood tree. We also got a few peppermint plants which is good for getting rid of tons of pests..Plus it's natural so it only puts off smells and not harm..Plus peppermint smells delicious when sitting outside relaxing. Inside they had some really cool solar lights and statues for the yard..If you haven't been go get some plants and plant and get some sunshine..Green Acres is where you want to be

The new digs for the Roseville Green Acres on Galilee Rd are a major upgrade and nothing short of spectacular. It was worth the wait!I came here to get a specific plant for my front yard landscape that wasn't carried at the smaller Citrus Heights location that is much closer to my home. I was prepared for chaos but parking is a breeze and there is no traffic jam waiting to enter the parking lot like the last location had a problem with. The interior is filled with gorgeous outdoor furniture, umbrellas, and decor but still is impeccably clean and doesn't feel cluttered. The exterior nursery area is a well-organized wonderland of plants, trees, and flowers. It's huge but so easy to navigate and has such clear, descriptive signage that I really appreciate. This is definitely the place to browse plants, admire the blooms, and inhale the fragrance of spring. Staff is the same friendly, knowledgeable types that are the gold standard for any Green Acres and a major reason why I'd suggest anyone shop here as opposed to any big box store or other nursery. I consistently shop at various locations and have yet to have an unpleasant experience at any of them. ***Note: All reviews prior to Jan 2023 are for the previous location (near the Galleria).

This is such a big nursery! They have an inside and outside area (dog friendly too)! Outside is HUGE filled with so many different types of plants! After you get your pick of plants, you go inside to pay and although the line looked long, it went by super fast! They staff were super nice and helpful. I think this will be our new spot!

Have always driven by this place but now I am in love. So many plants and outdoor furniture and a garden heaven. Came in to look for "air purifying" plants and came out with not only the plants, but so much more knowledge. Brooklyn is amazing. She really knows her plants and made the experience fun- not overwhelming. She helped us find amazing plants, Repotted them for us and told us how to take of them. I feel like I actually take of plants and not kill them. All the plants looked so healthy and taken care of. The other employees also seemed helpful. I really like their repotting service. For a little more $$ they will put your plants in a nice pot with new soil and a little topper. Will definitely be coming back here.

Green Acres is great and the new location on Galilee Road is a huge improvement! The new location is much more spacious - from the parking lot to the interior, and the outdoor area out back. They even have a separate area to the left of the store for mulch - at the old location, the bags of mulch took up space in the cramped parking lot. Green Acres has the best inventory in town...everything you could possibly need for your yard and garden. They are a little pricer than your big box home improvement store, but you get exceptional customer service. Their staff is extremely knowledgeable and are willing to go above and beyond to help. During my visit this past week, I was looking for a tree that would survive my living room with low light and they suggested great options...so much better than the fiddle leaf fig I was originally thinking of! I was also able to order/purchase mulch at the register and someone grabbed the bags and hauled them to my car for me. I didn't touch a shopping cart during that visit. They are just the best!

8/14/2022: I visited the "Big Box" Stores' garden shops located in Roseville first due to they were within the same vicinity. Store HD had pretty much wilted plants-I won't buy plants here. Store L didn't have the plants I wanted but, did purchase marigolds. Upon arriving at Green Acres, the parking lot presentation was quaint and verdantly idyllic.I picked up a cart located via the parking lot and entered the side gate where I could see rows and rows of flowering plants. I chose two Echinacea flowering, herb plants and two Boa Blue Agastache, aka, Korean mint plants which are not invasive unlike peppermint or spearmint plants; the plan is planting the two different plants in planter pots for my front yard which are deer-resistant, i.e., deer won't eat these flowering herb plants:Win, win, win for my front yard whereas, Buck Owens, Jane Doe, and Bambi-ZERO, zilche, nada!

This is my favorite of all of the Green Acres locations, and I'm pretty sure I've been to all of them! This place is huge. When I come here, I'm usually in the market for succulents, which are conveniently located in the front of the outdoor nursery section (when walking in from the parking lot). This location usually has at least as many succulents as any of the other locations, if not more.Lately, I've been in a few times, in search of a particular sempervivum. While I still haven't found the one I'm looking for (and will probably end up ordering it online), I did end up buying a couple of others that caught my eye. While I was walking around the outside section, I noticed a woman taking multiple videos of the waterfall, and thought to myself, "She must be Yelp Elite."This morning, I stopped by just because I was in the area, and left with a couple of haworthias. They had so many different varieties in every size, I couldn't help but grab a couple that looked like good growers.Prices here are typically lower than they are at the big chain home improvement stores, and I've had better luck with my plants, too. All of the plants that I've purchased from Green Acres have been healthy.Another thing I love about this location is how they have all of the best pottery for succulents stacked out right by the succulent section. It seemed like they had a lot more pottery choices here than in my home store in Folsom.Apparently, this location is moving soon. I can't wait to visit the new location when it opens, but I have a feeling I'll be back before then, too.

Bought 3 Chinese Wisteria plants to grow on the trellis of our chicken coop. 2 weeks later my daughter discovered that wisteria is poisonous to animals, chickens, dogs and cats. Even though they were thriving, Christina, with Mike's approval refunded my money. Normally not done if still alive. Guarentee applies to dead plants, not ignorance of what you are buying. Thank you Christina and Mike! Love Green acres, they always treat me right!
