Last week, I reserved my truck online. I arrived at the truck rental place an hour early. When I arrived, three gentlemen were there and they were not helpful at all. They did not have a truck, and they did not offer any explanation other than not to reserve the truck online. Where do individuals rent the truck then? I called customer service and they were no help at all. They told me it would be 2 to 3 hours until they located a new truck. I ended up getting a U-Haul and getting my errands done. What should’ve taken me about 2 1/2 hours ended up taking about six hours because my truck wasn’t there and the customer service was horrible. Stay far far away. Also, not a safe place for a loan female to drop off and pick up a truck.

Horrible Experience. I reserved a 26' truck 12 days prior to needing it. Prices where better than uhaul. 3 days prior to needing the truck I received an email confirming my reservation. 2 days before pick up, I received a call from the location where I'm suppose to pick up the truck. Telling me they don't have what I need. When asked well what are you wanting from me? Is budget going to do anything to correct this? He told me that's why he's calling to let me know they can't meet my needs. I asked, does this mean you are canceling my reservation? He said yes I can cancel it. I'll even waive the cancelation fee. Thought in my head and I didn't say it. No s*** Sherlock!!! Then he went on to blame me. Stating when I reserved the truck I should of called and confirmed they had one at that location. That ticked me off. I told him I appreciate the call and the heads up. But last min like this is horrible business. You should know how hard it will be to rent a truck that's needed in 2 days. Then for you to tell me I should of confirmed like it's my fault. That's horrible customer service. I will never be back to budget. Uhaul knows we're there trucks are. Knows what they will have. That's when he told me. Uhaul also a lot bigger than us and has more of a selection. Didn't say it but Uhaul will credit I believe $50 if they have issues after booking a truck. Budget couldn't even tell me if there's another location with the truck. All he could or would do is cancel my reservation and blame me for there horrible system that can't track trucks. Budget may be cheaper. But not worth the risk. I have movers scheduled. Took vacation day off to make this happen. What should be a joyful experience moving into my newly purchased home. Has turned into a big headache and disappointment by budget.

I wish this was recorded.. Rude as hell over the phone I asked one question and he went on for 2 minutes on a rant on how I should not even ask. Incoherent and rude as hell. I have never had a good experience with Budget. If you want to be condescended and talked down too while the owner or phone operator cares little for you needs or business this is your one stop shop. They are clearly good and off to not need your business.

Do not come here. They were incredibly rude and discriminate against POC. I came here with my friend and they were rude and made us feel incredibly uncomfortable.

DO NOT DO NOT Rent a Truck from here! I cannot stress enough how bad the experience was with this place. We reserved the truck of the budget costco site. We showed up at 7am the day of the move and were told that they didn't have any trucks and it was our fault for not contacting them to make sure they would have one. Furthermore there were 7 other reservations that day that were going to be without a moving truck. The place does not look like a business. There is stuff everywhere and it smells as if they are smoking cigarettes inside all day. Budget should not allow this place to be part of their operation. Do yourself a huge favor and rent from Penske. They are nothing short of professional

Terrible experience. I reserved a truck a few days in advance and received a confirmation email. I show up at the time and day of my reservation to be told there were no trucks available. The elderly fellow stated that the website allows people to make reservations even though they don't have the trucks available in their inventory. Ok??? That makes a lot of sense.... Weird how there were several Budget moving trucks in sight as well... Apparently I'm not the only one who had an experience like this. My advice, go elsewhere. Don't waste your time like I did. Because of what happened I had to go hustle and find an available truck for the day and only was able to do so due to some luck (someone returned a truck to U-haul early).

DON'T USE THE BUDGET WEBSITE TO RESERVE! Booked my reservation on the website, and that was a mistake. I found out, after my ride had already left, they not only didn't have the truck I reserved, they had NO trucks available at all. The guy at the counter at Rent Rite 1 had to be in his 90's. He was kind of cranky and insulting, but I'd be that way too if I had to work at that age. He said "Common sense should have told ya to call to check inventory first". Well, great-grandpa, in the age of technology, we use something called the Internet to order all kinds of items, reserve rental vehicles, and even apply for a job without calling to confirm services will be rendered and items delivered. I received an email confirmation from Budget, and took it as an actual confirmation. I didn't yell or curse at him, because my parents raised me to respect my elders. However, the Budget Customer Service agent had the pleasure of hearing a colorful expression of my dismay. Here's my rant: I'm a 50 year old woman, stranded in an unsafe neighborhood, with no truck to move my elderly father out of his house in one county to another county about 30 miles away. I needed a one way for that and a weapon just to walk to a store for a cold drink because at 8am, it was already hot as the balls of a roofer in the middle of the desert. Thank God Uhaul was fairly close and had what I needed. Also, Uhaul was cheaper for one foot larger truck, and that was without a AAA discount. So, Uhaul on El Camino will be getting 5 stars an another review by me.

I made a reservation through the Budget website and received a confirmation email. My reservation was not honored by the local store and I was told that there is no connection between the online inventory and what they actually have in stock at this location. Stay away.

Make sure to call in if you setup your reservation online. Reserving online doesn't mean they have the truck you want. Call, call, call. They didn't have the truck I reserved. Fortunately, they had something similar but it could have put me in a really tough spot. Not that it matters much for a truck rental place but it's the messiest business I've ever been in. Garbage is piled up to the ceiling.
