I love Kitty!! She did a great basic cut for me and my young daughter. $40 total for the both of us can’t beat that price! Simple, easy place. I made an appointment but I believe they do walk ins. My husband comes here as well. Cash only.

I’ve been getting my hair cut by Karen for almost 30 years, so this review is definitely long overdue. I first met her when she worked at another salon, and when she opened K & D, I naturally followed. Even after moving from Elk Grove to Davis, I tried other places closer to home, but nothing compared. So, I kept making the drive back because, honestly, she’s worth it.
Karen also gave my daughters their first haircuts, and now they’re 24 and 23, so you could say she’s basically part of the family at this point. Over the years, I’ve always gotten compliments on my hair, even when I used to get highlights from her. She knows exactly what she’s doing, and her prices are super reasonable.
The salon has a warm and familiar feel. There are usually three or four stylists, and they’ve all been there as long as I can remember. That kind of consistency is rare these days.
I just hope Karen never retires because I honestly wouldn’t know where to go. Highly recommend K & D Hair Salon for anyone looking for a great cut from someone who truly cares about her work.

I got a last minute hair cut from them in September 2024 and I think it was the best hair cut I’ve ever had in my life! I have thin asian hair and it’s hard to find anyone who knows how to cut thin asian men hair or Asian men hair styles. I forgot her name but she did an amazing job on me! I forgot to leave the review but I’m getting my haircut soon so I wanted to leave a review before I go again. I was aiming for Korean style hair cut. This is before and after.🫶

Kitty she ruined my hair 1st the highlights I got didn't lineup both sides one was way on the back, when it suppose to be near the root and second I asked her for burgundy she did dark brown and bleach was on too long where it's extremely dry I have got highlights before I just flushed my $200 down the toilet and she takes on clients at the same time where she isn't actually paying attention, I am not going to recommend them nor will be back!

The cut is horrendous... scissor work is not the best, doesn't blend the side burns and even the attention to the customer is not there.

I have gone to K&D Salon for over 15 years as well as my family & extended family . All of the ladies are great at hair. I personally like to book with Kitty. I would call for an appointment, although I think they would try to accommodate walk-ins. They have gone to CASH ONLY. Kind of a bummer but I get it.The prices are very reasonable, but of course everything has gone up, including haircuts. So, a guys cut is around $15 and women's start at $20.I go in about 2-3 times per year for a trim. I have also had color/highlights done there a couple of times. It's nice to go to a place where they remember their long time customers! ?

I have been going to this salon from past two year but this last time kitty cut my hair too short. I showed her a picture of what I wanted but she cut it too short and didnt even show me before she started cutting that how short I wanted. I’m so annoyed because i have a family event to go to soon and now i can’t even do any hairstyle. I will not be going to them again.
