Very nice track! Hole #4 was still under construction yesterday but the rest of the course is shaping up very nicely. A number of very narrow fairways so it's challenging for the high handicapper. Greens were in excellent shape. I rented clubs. It was a very good set of Calloway Rogues with a Paradigm driver. Rental included balls and tees. If your traveling without your clubs, I recommend their rentals. Exceeded expectations!

I live in San Diego and play golf on a regular basis with friends that live in Orange County. We were getting tired of the driving back and fourth and had been looking for a course that would make for less travel time. Shorecliffs Golf Club was the perfect solution. The course layout is challenging but fair, David Zimmerman who mans the check-in desk if very personable and accommodating as it the rest of the staff. The club house looks and feels brand new, because it pretty much is. It went through a major remodel recently and it looks great both inside the restaurant and the outdoor patios. As mentioned in another review, the food served here is more like what you would expect at a nice restaurant than at a public golf course. We play in the afternoon and just this past week, we were able to complete our round, put away our golf clubs and enjoy a wonderful dinner without leaving the course. An excellent and relaxing way to end a fun day on the golf course. I highly recommend that you check out both the golf and food here. You won't be disappointed!

Had a very nice round with some friends. The maintenance staff seems to be working hard, and the course is recovering from all of the rain. There are still some soggy spots, but good track overall. Saw a couple of reviews about the clubhouse and dining room being dingy, that had to be before they remodeled both. The clubhouse and the restaurant are first class now, look brand new in fact. The starter, David Zimmerman, was really helpful with some tips about the course, then after the round, let us know the restaurant and bar were open if we were interested. He walked us into the restaurant, introduced us to staff and we were treated great. The food is not your normal clubhouse grub, the pasta and salmon were first rate restaurant quality, and the fish and chips fresh and battered nicely. The chef even came out to explain the specials. All in all, a first rate golfing and dining experience. We plan on playing here regularly.

Dirt patches through out course, balls run off fairway Into flood channels in ctr of fairways, par 3 everywhere just like a executive course not fun and a waste of money $95 round especially with increased rates. Renovations will not help this course. Most days course is empty it's no wonder why.Staff and new managers suck with all the new screwy rules. Think as if this is a country club when it's more like golf n stuff even river view in santa ana is much better for less $. Update 8/22/22 most days less then 50% of capacity that should tell you alot even with all the money they have spent it's still lives up to its name" the "ditch". If this is not helpful read the reviews and beware. As of 9/16/22 a few holes renovated on front 9 but from my vantage point ( I live on course) there has been no changes .still weeds on either side of drainage ditch and dirt patches on fairway. Here's a couple of pics of today's shenanigans on course. 4 golf carts zigzagging on fairways with 8 players all playing on one hole, I think not .

I had the pleasure of playing Shorecliffs Golf Club back in October and was thoroughly impressed. The course itself is a unique blend of challenge and beauty, winding its way through houses and earning its nickname "The Ditch" thanks to the strategic bunkering and elevation changes. Despite a few well-worn tee boxes, the layout was well-maintained and offered a super friendly experience, catering to golfers of all skill levels. I'm particularly excited to see how the new hole will integrate into the course! The brand new clubhouse was a delight, boasting a clean and modern atmosphere with helpful staff and a well-stocked pro shop. The highlight, however, were the par 3s, each offering a unique challenge and plenty of fun. Finishing the round with the last four holes leading back to the clubhouse was truly breathtaking, showcasing the stunning coastal scenery.Overall, Shorecliffs exceeded my expectations. With reasonable green fees, an awesome layout, and a welcoming atmosphere, I highly recommend this club to anyone looking for a memorable round in a beautiful setting.

I have been golfing at this course for almost a Decade and I have to say today was the last time I will ever play at Shore Cliffs aka The Ditch. I was Truly excited to be able to play the golf course after all the improvements that have been going over the last couple years. Today was the first time I was able to Play the course with the new layout and I have to say for the money there are way better courses just a couple miles away that are in way better shape. Save your money.

I have played this course for 6 years, got talked into the plus membership, what a joke. Charged me for three months at a max of 10% off. Standard $80 during the week, definitely not worth the money. I was treaded rudely by two on course staff members, I complained and was definitely not satisfied, told them I will never return, no offer of a refund, I filled out their email survey, it was not complimentary, so far no one from the management has contacted me. What a shame.Save your money don't play this course.

I am not a golfer but have eaten at the new 501 Restaurant and Bar several times already. Yes, they are going through a few “growing pains” as they hire staff and get systems in place. but the location is so pleasant, the year-round climate doesn’t hurt, the course view from the restaurant outdoor deck is so beautiful and every dish I have tried has been very, very good (the Frittata, Ahi sandwich and Smash burger are must tries). I have not had dinner here yet but the menu looks amazing. They have two indoor simulators with food/drink/seating areas for your group. The outdoor deck/dining area has overhead heaters and a fire pit. Both the golf club and restaurant staff are very friendly and working hard to make this a local hot spot for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They are now hosting groups, company events and weddings as well.

Shorecliffs Golf Club / 501 Restaurant & Bar: We had our holiday party at the restaurant on Saturday night, about 65 attending. Food, service and staff were all excellent.I worked with Chef Aron Bagatta on all of the details for the party, they delivered first class service on every aspect. With the help of his staff they delivered everything promised and then some.I'm excited to go there again soon for lunch / dinner and hopefully hold our holiday party at the restaurant again next year. Thanks for making our party a total success.Ed

Do yourself a favor and discover the hidden gem of a restaurant at the Shorecliff Golf Club. The atmosphere and view is an added plus. Food is scrumptious and reasonably priced considering the portions. Servers are efficient and friendly. It's truly a delight and a Must-Try!!! BAS

I am not a golfer, but here to review the new 501 Restaurant and Bar at Shorecliffs Golf Club. Just recently opened, I have eaten here several times in the past two months for breakfast and lunch. They will be opening soon for dinner as well. The location has a lovely, relaxing view of the course and water fountains. There is outdoor dining with overhead heaters and also a comfy fire pit seating area. The wait staff is very friendly and accomodating. The food is VERY good, fresh, with nice portions. Everything from the frittata, chef's benedict, the salads, with two of my favorites being the ahi sandwich and the smash burger. In talking with a few locals, we are in agreement that Chef Aron is certainly making a name for himself and the restaurant. I can't wait to see the dinner menu, which is already way above par for bkfst and lunch. There will be live music soon, and I have heard they are already booking 2024 weddings and other events. I have a feeling that 501 will become a new local hot spot. I highly suggest taking the time to eat here now, before reservations are required! shorecliffsgolfclub.com/…

If I could leave zero stars, I would. This is a difficult review to write because I have grown up playing golf at shorecliffs for the past 32 years. I also would like to start this review with saying I respected the fact so much money was being invested into the club over the last 3 years. All that being said, I'm actually happy to say that today is the last round I will ever play at this golf course. The price is unspeakable ($110?!?! For a 6,000 yard course in rough shape, don't have bathrooms on the course, no water in the 1 water cooler on the front, and trying to play slow so the greens mower can get in front of my group to play on mowed greens). On top of that you have a semi that drives by on the first green. You have "security guards" driving by multiple times during the round without stopping for the paying golfers pay. The Marshall was seen 1 time on hole 4 and was never seen again even though the group in front of me was 1-2 holes behind all day and never saw that group behind me all day. There are so many other courses to pay a premium for where you will get a premium experience. I understand troon golf has taken over management of this golf course but I cannot recommend enough to not put your money. I hope troon realizes there mistakes but I'm not holding my breath. I highly recommend skipping Shorecliffs golf course and spending your money doing literally anything else.
