My experience with Payless and Avis was absolutely terrible. They over charged me for gas when I already put gas in the car and they over charged for the returns. They need to change the rental charges back to the original $87 × 3 days out the door like they promised.

Always and i mean ALWAYS the person at the counter has to add something extra, this time was and extra hour that meant an extra rental day, so I always have to waste my time contacting customer service to fix this, just stop it already.

Had an incredible experience with Romeo taking care of us at the front desk, welcoming us in, helping us with our car, and generally giving us a fantastic San Diego welcome.Shout out to his manager that day to - Jay. He was able to help us get the right car after a long day! Will definetly rent again from Avis, especially this one!!

From start to finish top notch service. Super easy process, and navigating the overwhelming garage; there are literally signs everywhere guiding you to designated areas. I will definitely be renting with Avis again at the San Diego Airport. Great experience ????!!

Rented through Costco, good rental price, arrived at the Airport after a lengthy flight, no line up and the customer service rep was nice, got a free upgrade and was advised to take the insurance which I did, in hindsight did not need an additional 1,000 in insurance and the upgrade had no features so I needed to use my cell phone and data to get maps, car had no safety features that most modern cars have lane assist, radar crusie control etc. Not a great insurance price experince or upgrade experince so I will think twice about renting from Avis again.

I was charged for insurance and features I did not want and the clerk was very rude. Be aware of what the agent asks you to sign on an electronic pin pad

I was sold extras including insurance that I was not asked about and hence did not approve. Make sure to double check no additional charges have been added without your knowledge!

The SAN location has stepped up their game with a consistent customer experience. Cars are clean, in good shape, easily accessible, and ready to roll.The only possible improvement would be slightly more signage as to the rows, maybe a prominent map, or ... markings on the concrete.?

Hostess was nice but service at the preferred desk is really slow. Seem like the workers were arguing on the phone…took forever.
