Started out with a confirmed rental of two vans. When the day came to pick them up was told they only had one of the two. When asking the woman working the counter why we didn’t have two she was not helpful. Just kept saying it wasn’t her problem because the request for two just came through her system. The renal confirmation was from a week prior. For the one truck we were able to get was beat to hell on the outside but, no problem. Take pictures and video to verify the damage was not from you. The biggest problem with the truck was the drivers seat (see attached picture). The seat cushion was either pushed down through the seat or removed. Since they only had one van we had no option but to take. Hands down the most uncomfortable drive ever. Thankfully we only had a one way 2 hour drive. I would give zero stars for extremely rude customer service and a van that should not be rented until the seat is replaced.

Don’t bother booking. The reservation does guarantee there will be a truck available. When I did rent with them, My bill was almost 2000 dollars. Not a trustworthy place to do business with

If they had 0 starts, I would have chosen it. First, they never send you a final bill. I called the Budget Truck Kutz Rental location more than ten times. The message says they are assisting other customers, which I do not believe. They just don't answer their phone!!! I then talked to online customer service to get a copy of my bill, which was supposed to take up to 15 minutes to receive. I was on the phone for over 30 minutes and still received no bill. They said they would send it again. Again still never received a bill.They said the Kurtz location was the only person that could adjust the bill. I asked them to connect me with the Budget Truck Kutz Rental location because I was unable to connect with them, and they could not connect me with them either. I asked for a manager at the customer call center because the bill, which I still didn't have a copy of after an hour waiting, was incorrect.I used the truck for 16 miles, and the gas charge for that was $60 more than my estimate. The gas mileage for that type of truck is 12 per gallon. So I could have at the most used 2 gallons for which I was charged $60.Of course, they never connected me with the Kurtz rental location or a manager. I would never ever ever ever rent from these people again. Their customer service is useless, and they fraudulently overcharge you!!!

Terrible horrible service. Refused to help me unhook a trailer. Forced to contact customer service. Received a partial refund due to poor service at the. San diego facility. Conversely, I rented the original truck and trailer in Santa Rosa and received excellent service. This is a geographical problem in San Diego. Buyer beware!!

This was the worst service I have ever received in my entire life. The reservation stated a drop off time outside of operating hours, so when I tried to return the truck about 30 min before it was due back, the office was already closed. The man helping me the next day was awful and turns out he is also the owner. Not only did he patronize me for not double checking the location's hours, but claimed zero responsibility for the misalignment of times from the reservation to the location's hours of operation. He refused to discuss the issue with me and just kept telling me to "call customer service." Absolutely terrible experience and would HIGHLY RECCOMEND looking elsewhere for any of your rental needs.

IF I COULD LEAVE A NEGATIVE STAR REVIEW, 100% I WOULD.I am in the customer service industry so I completely understand what should and what should not be done. This location and their front desk and Budget overall... complete GARBAGE! They rented me a truck that had a service completed the day prior to my arrival for a faulty Cadillac converter and an exhaust leak... as soon as I hit the freeway the day after I picked it up, I sat on the side of the road for SIX hours waiting for someone to help. It took three hours just to know if someone was going to try and help, I called to get a different truck and was told there were none available because it was the end of the month. I could rant on and on about the countless issues but to save time, understand, this is a nightmare save yourself do not rent Budget because it is the cheapest option. They will scam you and make it impossible to get a refund for what you're genuinely asking for AND they make you complete the transaction before you can even request someone to speak with you in regards to your experience because once you're complete, they look at that as you've used their services so they're not helping you. DO NOT USE BUDGET.

BEWARE!!!! A reservation doesn't mean they will have a truck! I reserved a truck for 8/14/22. I have a reservation number. I have the email stating my truck will be at the location on my reservation. I go there today to pick up the truck. They have no truck! The customer service representative helping me was the owner. He was horrible! Talked to me so rude. He stated he had no more trucks and walked away! Customer service was just as bad. MAKE NO RESERVATIONS WITH BUDGET!!!! You may be with no truck on the day you are moving. You have to put a star to post the review. Horrible service....

Pathetic that this location gets away with their poor customer service. The owner should be embarrassed to operate this way. Word of advice, assist your customers and don't act like they are a bother to you when you're closed during BUSINESS HOURS. I had to coax the employee out to open the door during their posted business hours and he was completely rude and unhelpful. If you can't be bothered during business hours you may want to rethink your hours. Customers deserve help!!!!! No excuses, just do better!

Great customer service. I would have kept van longer but didn't suit my needs. Renting pick-up would be ideal to offer in addition to the van and trucks.

Words cannot describe the poor experience I had with this location. I had an appointment to drop off my car at 2PM today. This was booked several weeks in advance; I have the confirmation email. When I arrived at this location, the doors were locked and there were signs saying the business had closed at 2PM due to COVID. The business hours are listed everywhere online as open until 4PM on Saturdays, so even if I didn't have a set, pre-determined time to drop the car off, there would have been no way for me to know the business was closing early. I received no notification of this change. I had to take the car to the Avis at the airport and was charged $750 for a location/time change. The man at the airport location actually said, "This has happened a few times already." This is such unbelievably poor business practice. I will never use Avis again and strongly discourage against anyone I know using the company and especially this location. Will be taking my business to Enterprise in the future!
