I've lived in 3 different states and have moved across the country 2 x's in my life. And I have to say, I have NEVER been treated so poorly by a moving company in my life. I am also a realtor and I cannot believe people today exist like this, in lying to you about rates, time and what they did or did not promise you to deliver. I spoke with customer service reps who bounced me around on the phone. I spoke with managers who clearly did not respect me nor my mother as women, culturally speaking. I was promised wardrobe boxes free of charge and then charged for those boxes and additional material I did NOT request, on top of their movers using this material to move me from Costa Mesa to Mission Viejo (all 25 minutes of driving) and it took 7 hours with 3 men!? That's including a lunch break. I WILL NEVER refer them to anyone and will warn people to not utilize their services. I am also reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and more. Lack of integrity on all accounts!

The only reason I gave these people (note I didn't say company) is because Yelp doesn't let me give it a zero. I would if I could. This is not a company, this is a scam. I hired Move Central to move me from a 3500 square feet in Encinitas to a 9000 square feet in Del Mar. They were suppose to show up with a crew of 2 in Encinitas and a crew of 3 in the house in Del Mar. The crew in Encinitas had two good guys. The crew in Del Mar never showed up and they ended up sending the guys in Encinitas to the other house. When they got there they realized the job was too big. While all was going on the managers at Move central kept assuring me that they would have a crew of six people first thing the next day. Well the following day nobody showed up despite numerous phone calls. These people left us stranded. I ended up hiring another local North County moving company that did a fantastic job. If you hire these people, you will get scammed!

I hired move central to take my furniture from San Diego to TN. I received my estimate of 1 truck & 2 movers, paid my deposit and received notification my move was good to go. The day of the move, I get a call from Anthony saying he needed to discuss my quote with me. Long story short, they put my furniture in a moving van with 1 driver and tried to charge me for 5 hours with 2 drivers. Do not use this company. The management in this office need to learn customer service skills and should be fired. Ended up having to file a dispute with BBB & dispute the charge with my credit card company.

Management was very professional in setting up for my moving services. Their rates are very reasonable. Chance King and coworker Hunter did a fabulous job with my move. Both were very professional, thorough and very careful in packing and moving in the process. I highly recommend Move Central moving services.

***DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!*** You will pay the highest rate coupled with the absolute very inexperienced movers...nothing about your service will be professional other than the initial sale. Judging by the posts recently we are all in the same boat. My recommendation is look further and do not use this company!!!

We used Move Central last week to move our 2 bedroom apt to another building located in the same complex. We had a two man team that showed up at 12:45 to move just our furniture and a few lamps along with some art work. We assumed this would be a 4-5 hours move since we moved all of our clothes, kitchen and other miscellaneous items ourselves. At 9:10 that evening they were finished. They broke one of stand up lamps and actually kept it and still have not received any confirmation of the claim. They total charge was $1825.00 for the move. This included $750 in miscellaneous packing material in which they pack and wrapped our furniture and artwork like we were moving across the country. The two man team were nice but were totally milking the move. They purposely took their time and dragged their feet. They took a hour break to get something to eat and gas they truck for which the charges us for their time. It took them 6 hours to load the truck and 3 hours to unload...hmmm. I wound never recommend or use this company again for any type of move. The charges were unwarranted and their business ethics when it comes to charging fair prices for materials is less then honest. Lastly, they should take a closer look at their business practices!! Good luck Move Central. You will not get a recommendation from us or the network of friends we have. Also, one the largest Apartment Owners in the Calirfornia is well aware of your practices.

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!!!! Reading through reviews. The 5 stars reviews are too good to even believe are real!!! Come on I used the service!!! READ the 1Star reviews Don't let this untruthful company take your money!!!!! Giving one star just because can not give 0. Moved from Eastlake to the Montecito Area. 1) The person making the assessment tells you an amount that can not be exceeded and (if you are like me-I trusted) you fall into the small letters of the contract. I paid almost double. 2) Normally I wouldn't do a claim on damages, but after paying the double I decided to held them accountable. After following up. They obviously said 1) Was in the contract- small letters. Seems like they are suuper ready to answer that. I wonder why 2) Did you sent photos? Yes Included in the email you did not read. Anyways We need to assess damages for repair. How can you assess the damages of a house I had to repair immediately as I was transferring it? And in my new house I Repaired so that I can live it. So now it seems they will be responsible only for what they can still try to repair. And some cents on per pounds of broken furniture. This is not my first rodeo moving. But the first company I would NEVER hire again.

Not the same experience as the first time! I contacted them for another move with the request to have the same lead guy named Kona. The guy confirmed that it was possible to send him and that he'd make a note. I confirmed this 3 times but when it came to moving day they sent 2 other guys. One named Tyler and the other unknown. Sadly, these guys did not meet my expectations. They took way too long. I moved out with less than I moved in and they took longer. This move was so expensive for a 2 bedroom. Second, they broke 2 items in the rental and didn't tell me. They just put it back together. I submitted a claim but that dept isn't any better as it can take up to 90 days. Im in the claims process now, so we'll see how that goes. I will never recommend this company again.

Service was fine but lots of hidden charges. 1.5 hour move ended up costing $600 - I knew there was a minimum but not that they charge for every piece of plastic, so read the fine print and don't expect them to ask before using up materials they'll charge you for later.

RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN far away!!!! I have never felt less of a company. They take advantage of you 100%. They overcharge everything and gaslight you into believing that you are stupid because they "record the conversation". I took down my bad review earlier because they said they would refund my money from blindsiding me by how much it really is. I am waiting on over $200 from them on our overpaid storage. I doubt I will get it back. RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN far away!!!! RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN far away!!!! RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN far away!!!!

I contracted with Move Central for three different days for 3 projects related to my move in December of 2020. Sadly they completely fell down on two of the three projects. They showed up late, their trucks were old and one of them leaked oil all over my new driveway, they damaged my new house etc. Beyond that, they substantially over billed me. Major issues included billing for the hours not worked, billing me for several hours for four people when only two people showed up. Double billing me for materials etc. Sadly, not only could I never recommend them, but if you used them recently, I highly suggest reviewing your bill in detail.

Probably the worst things in life are paying taxes, dying and moving. But if you're gonna move I would say connect up with Move Central for a quote. In November 2020 my roommate told me that we would have to move soon as the homeowner wanted to move back into that house that we were living in. Moving is always a stressful time because free time is wasted sorting, packing and transporting. My roommate told me he would hire a company to move the large items. Moving day came and a three man crew and a 26 foot box truck showed up in the 9 o'clock hour. Delicate items were bubble-wrapped and large items were handled with care. My roommate and I had a three bedroom house and the garage packed with items. I was impressed that they had everything out in under six hours. The crew filled up the box truck two times and I don't even think they took a lunch break. My roommate is planning on buying a house this year and I hope to be in the financial place to buy one in 2022 or thereafter. I hope we use Move Central again. In conclusion, if you're in the San Diego area doing a local move I highly recommend you check out Move Central.

Great communication from start to finish with a competitive rate. There was a dispatcher who called me the day before to confirm my move and offered to check on the movers' ETA the day of if need be. The day of, the main guy (Tyler) called to let me know when they were on their way from their main office. The movers got here on time (during the time frame provided) and came in ready to work quickly (as movers tend to do). Shout out to Tyler for being a superstar and really going above and beyond to work around some space issues in the new space we moved into. One of our box springs wouldn't fit but he still tried to make it work. When it didn't work, he gave great recommendations for alternatives. I did have to remove a star though because one of the movers didn't really wear his mask 100% of the time. When asked to put it on, he made it a point to loudly state that he tested negative (he ended up putting it on later on but just rubbed me the wrong way). There is also an extra charge for one-time use items that was a bit steeper than anticipated so glad I had extra cash on me for that (shrink wrap used cost an extra $40 above the quoted price but was not explicitly stated during the booking process). Great company otherwise though and will be booking with them again if we do need to move again!

I feel I need to update my older review. I moved again a few months ago, very close by. The movers they sent were late, sloppy, and slow. They left packing items all over my garage when they left. They damaged my antique dresser, scratched up my fridge, damaged almost every wall, and took over twice the time and money they quoted to move me one mile. It was over 9 hours!! The men they sent were very kind, albeit inexperienced. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend them.
