We relocated from the East Coast and our relo company put us in touch with Dan 2 years ago and Dan has been a great partner in working at our pace and viewing quite a few properties in the Mission Bay and Potrero Hills areas of San Francisco.
The time helped with finding the right condo ultimately - and Dan worked closely with all 3rd parties and helped close it!

This is the second home I purchased with Dan as my agent. Dan was also my agent when I sold my first property in San Francisco. Dan’s extensive knowledge of the San Francisco market was very helpful in all three transactions. Real Estate transactions can be very stressful, but Dan’s calm and collective demeanor really helps to reduce the stress. He’s very patient, and not pushy. He’s much more interested in making sure you find the right home than he is in closing the deal. I’m very happy with our recent home purchase. If/when I decide to sell this home or buy another, I’ll certainly want Dan to be my agent. He’s the best!

Dan helped my husband and I buy our first condo in San Francisco, which was not easy in the 2018 market, even if you had the budget! Back then, if we told him we were interested in a place we saw at an open house, he immediately made the time to go check it out and give us guidance in terms of submitting a bid. Dan works quickly and efficiently under time constraints, which is an absolute a must when buying in San Francisco. He's a great communicator over email, phone or text and he also seems to know everyone in the business, which doesn't hurt when a mortgage banker falls through or you want to gauge how good your offer is. It took us over a year to find our home and Dan was a persistent, honest and great consultant to have by our side. I'd absolutely recommend working with Dan if you're a first time buyer.

Dan McLean is amazing. He is a truly thoughtful, savvy and dedicated partner. In my house hunt, Dan was always willing to take me anywhere with vey little notice and given how hard covid has made house hunting was extremely diligent and patient, planning and coordinating complicated covid safe outings. I never felt pressured and always felt taken care of. In addition, he knows every Realtor in San Francisco and can help you get the information you need in what is otherwise a very opaque process. We felt at ease with Dan from the first moment and appreciated that he was direct, honest and at ease with us. His experience in and knowledge of our particular market (single family home, Sunnyside) was apparent and we decided there was no need to even interview another agent for our sale. When we met him we were stll 6 months out from our sale date. He kept in touch with us along the way steering us towards our goal of an early September sale. When the date approached, Dan assessed the changing market and, we feel, came up with exactly the correct selling price to make the sale happen. And it did. In spite of a slowing market overall, our house sold over asking within ten days. We very highly recommend him and his team.

I enlisted Dan McLean to conduct the sale of a beautiful home in the Marina. It was a very complicated transaction, given the specific timing of the sale: market values, particularly in San Francisco, have suffered greatly since June 2022, and this home was ready to market in September 2022. The sale was further complicated by an out of area seller, the legalization of the ADU, and rising interest rates. Dan came up with a strategy to market the property to very high-end realtors, as well as directly to residents of smaller homes in the area who may need more space. The property was under contract in 10 weeks, during an extremely sluggish sales period (19 sales - including this one - in the second half of 2022, a low not seen since early Covid February 2020, and significantly lower than the 39 sales in the corresponding period in 2021). Through it all he was organized, professional and unflappable, always willing to lean in a bit more than an agent ordinarily would have given the out of area seller. He was also knowledgeable as to the complexities of renting the ADU, should the buyer have wished to pursue that option. If you are buying or selling San Francisco residential real estate, you'll be in very capable hands with Dan McLean!
