It's been broken for a while now. When is it going to be fixed?

I love Safeway, but this branch stinks :-( I touched a sticky product, which happens. No soap in the bathroom. I told the lady at the "guest service" or whatever it's called. She said "I'll call someone". Waited a few more minutes, nothing. Still no soap and no service.

Please hire deli workers that know what they are doing and understand measurements. Half a pound is not the same as 1/4th pound. And you don't have to watch a corn dog cook while there are others waiting.

Again yoday i go in this Safeway I'm a driver and need something quick but every safeway deli and bakery have gotten so bad even the French bread and rolls are all old and hard today this store had no bakers and no Donuts but I was also given a hard roll for a sandwich disgusting. we as customers work to buy goods so if this is the case please lower your prices on stale bread day. safeway needs to get a grip big time! and rude as heck. And all the ladies are gossiping with the manager in her office why can't they go bake? It's work

This has got to be the worse store. There are never any carts, the store itself lacks appeal, the employees lack professionalism and customer service. The pharmacy staff are so rude, nasty and incompetent. I moved my prescriptions to another pharmacy. I am 75 years old and was told that the handicap motorized carts are broken, the courtesy clerk did go find me a regular cart from somewhere in the parking lot. Today there was an entire family, mom, dad and two kids, begging for money outside the store. Something needs to be done to make this store more inviting to customers.

As a kid this was my local grocery store. It's good to see it's still here. I lived just a few blocks away and this place always took really good care of me. I've lived or visited quite a few states and I can honestly say Safe way if one of the best grocery stores in the country. If you are local be sure to appreciate what you have. I now live in Tampa Bay and the main local chain store doesn't even begin to compare to Safeway.

This is by far the BEST Safeway ever when it comes to customer service! I was There last week with my kids and was having a hard time finding an item, so long story short this young lady went out of her way, beyond and did an outstanding job helping me! I am new to San Jose but I hope all Safeway employees are like her! Great job on you customer service.

I like shopping here because they generally have a very good selection of quality products. The fresh produce here is excellent, and the prices are OK. Recently, some of the selection has gotten a bit odd. Yesterday I went to get buckwheat for my Sunday-morning pancakes. They had no buckwheat, but a seemingly infinite supply of chia seeds, potato starch, and flaxseed meal. Who is stocking these shelves??? Additionally, the checkout lines are getting longer and longer. I don't know if the store is short-staffed or if there is some other factor at work, but it has become pretty miserable. I just cannot justify standing in line just to give someone money. I want them to care enough about my money to have someone (or, for self-checkout, a machine) there, ready to take it. So I'm not sure I'm going to keep coming here. I may restrict my shopping to early in the morning for a while and try to avoid the afternoons to see if that helps. I certainly do not recommend shopping here in the afternoon.

**Beware** make sure you check the expiration date on every single item you put in your cart! I am not exaggerating when I say at around 12 times I had to throw away an item I brought home bc it was already expired, to name a few: milk, ground turkey, ground beef, dog treats, prepackaged Safeway soup in the deli section, prepared meal in deli section, yogurt and the list goes on! This is so inconvenient and not to mention a huge health department violation! I have taken photos of the last 9 items it happened with and I am reporting them to the Ca. Department of Public Health. I encourage any of you who this has also happened to to do the same, or you can private message me along with a photo of the item and your receipt prior to returning it back to Safeway. This needs to stop or they are a c*nt's hair away from a lawsuit! "If you ever suspect you were sold spoiled food, you may report it locally. Contact the California Department of Public Health through its website, or by calling 916-558-1784. The CDPH has authority to investigate stores for selling rotten products."

This safeway honestly treats their employees like complete garbage. They deny their employees vacations and if you sincerely get injured they don't care. If you bring enough doctors notes they will straight up threaten you with a disability claim. They deny and deny and deny when you ask for the raise they promised you. Also if your trans and you ask for a name tag with your desired name they'll deny you. It must be legally changed for an acceptable tag. Do not apply to SLAVEway. their union does NOT care about you. Not joking, if you don't get along with your department manager or if they just don't like you they will f*** up your schedule, and of course deny you vacations. You have to literally be visibly not okay at work for them to offer any sort of mental health services. Everyone and everything needs to be reevaluated. Because this store is toxic.

This Safeway is the closet to my place but I try to stay way for numerous reasons, one being that I don't feel like it is a safe location. Once in a while though, I'll be in a rush and have to stop in. Yesterday was one of those days and I had been looking everywhere for raw unseasoned chicken wings. While waiting at the meat counter to see if they had any in the back, I started looking at the meat counter... I was appalled and grossed out by what I saw. Nothing looked fresh. In fact, most of it looked old and probably unsafe to consume. Hopefully this store can improve and have a better selection!

Curbside pick up is a 0 stars. I out in my order and confirmation. They said it would take up to 5 minutes max. I waited 30 minutes and they did not pick up their phone.

I go here before work and the place is empty. Its great! The staff are super friendly and service is great. They ask if I need help, show me to particular items and pack my bags. This store has everything I want for my weekly grocery shop and more, I just wish I had come here sooner rather than having to make compromises to my shopping lists at other, smaller stores, where they did not have the variety I would have liked.

This review is for the meat dept. Most of the time I go the beef is brown aka bad not good the only beef that is fresh is the strange cuts that are not very good such as top round ..on several different occasions I have come here for hamburger meat to make hamburgers and the it all brown what is the deal?? Also the new York strips are the same as well as tri tip brow old spoiled. This is unacceptable y does this happen?
