This liquor store has always been my go-to when I run out of booze since it's so close to my house, but the new owners have really improved the place. They are always super friendly and just really nice to talk with for the two minutes I'm in there. The prices are about normal for a neighborhood liquor store. Not the cheapest but really convenient so it still makes sense to go there. I don't think I've even gotten anything but liquor, but they do have a couple aisles of other items. I definitely recommend!

Good selection of ales. Wish they had more fruity alcohol but what they have is good. Fun place to pick up snacks and the guy behind the counter is super nice. A bit on the high side money wise but supporting a long lasting local business sounds good to me and it doesn't leave my wallet scrambling. Definitely a nighttime pit-stop.

The owner, who also works the counter, is very arrogant and rude, although unsure why he feels the need to be, I guess he doesn't care about repeat business?

Way overpriced for something you could get somewhere else, not to mention the night clerk is rude and condescending when you ask about the prices. It makes sense why he's so defensive though, over marking his selection like he is.

Don't let the outward appearance fool you. You can find some great beers here. Surroundings may be a little sketch but this place has a fantastic selection of craft beers.

Since they started closing 2 hours earlier (11pm) they became cooler people! Kelly's is the best place to purchase liquor and related products anywhere near the core of downtown San Jose
