We attended the Sunnyvale Central center and loved it. My kids had to move over to Cupertino due to a class conflict and I am happy to say that the staff here has been great also! We've continued our progress seamlessly. Thanks team!

Over the past 7 years, our two daughters have been with the Kumon Math and Reading Center of Cupertino managed by instructors - Ms Alice (Cupertino Center) and Ms Marianne (Sunnyvale Center).Ms Alice is passionate about ensuring that the students have a solid understanding of the foundational math concepts. I say that out of my own personal experience.I know because of the Kumon Math Program, our older one was always placed in an advanced math course(s) in Middle and High school. They constantly encouraged our daughter to maintain a Kumon routine (like brushing your teeth everyday) despite her school work load and a very hectic after-school competitive synchro swim schedule. They worked very closely with our daughter to adjust her Kumon work as and when needed. Thanks to their constant encouragement and personal attention, our older one completed all of the Kumon Math levels by the time she started her High School sophomore year. Now I see the same level of commitment to our younger one (In 6th grade - middle school). My younger one has tried to quit a few times, especially when she is moved to the next math level. Each time, Ms Alice will take out a considerable amount of time to speak with our younger one to assess the root cause and then find a creative way to create a win-win option.

A few pages of Kumon reading and math worksheet every day is making a big difference for my three children. Alice and Marianne make this Kumon center my favorite!Kumon reading collected articles from a variety of topics. For beginning levels, the topics include media, music, art, literature, politics, etc. At the end of each level, children get to review the vocabularies of these topics. In these levels, the questions are not open-answer. Kids need to make a habit of finding the sentence that has the key information and keywords while being precise to copy down the answers word by word. As a child levels up, he/she can form the answers in their own language. Starting from level J, students are exposed to authors from Jane Austin to Shakespeare. My first and second children finished Kumon reading and are doing a great job in their middle school and high school literature classes. For my third child, I love to read those carefully selected stories together with her since she's my youngest one. To my surprise, doing Kumon reading with her benefited me. As a first-generation immigrant, I started reading novels like "Crazy Rich Asians" or "The Divergent." I found myself holding my Kindle reading, not being able to put it down until 3 or 4 in the morning. I own it to Kumon. My third daughter is a 4th grader now, and she is working on reading Level G1. It is amazing how easily she can find the keywords and organize her own language to form her answers.Kumon's math problems are very well organized. They are not in random order. From one problem to the next, there is always something to learn and pay special attention to. I compared Kumon's math with other math worksheets online or from other publishers. My conclusion is that Kumon's math is self-explanatory. During the epidemic, thanks to Kumon, my daughters are not learning less because of distance learning.Cupertino Kumon is my favorite learning center. We experienced another Kumon learning center before moving to West San Jose, so we had to transfer. The first time I called Alice, I felt the difference. She is a born teacher, she is knowledgeable, and she cares. Soon I fell in love with this Kumon center. Alice and Marianne are so accessible! They call me to let me know when my kids are doing great or not doing a good job. I can walk into their center and talk with them when my child is leveling up too fast or when she gets stuck with certain kinds of problems. I feel so connected with them! Sometimes, I email Marianne my questions, and she always responds in such a timely manner. And this is what I like about this Kumon center the most: Alice and Marianne are running their centers with each and every child on their mind. They know their students and are always there to help.

Alice is the engine of this center. The first time we met her, and I am amazed by her energy, passion for teaching, caring for the student's success. Alice is very professional and knowledgeable, and I notice the way she communicates with parents and students, and I know how much she truly cares about her students. It is very difficult to find a teacher like her, who wants to see her student to improve academically through Kumon's learning opportunity. Alice earned my respect and I am very confident that my daughter will benefit learning from her. Thank You, Alice. you are a hero.

There are many teachers who can speak in Chinese and all of them are very nice. They will call you when your kid missing homework. Also they are willing to give praise when your kid making progress. A very good Kumon center and lots of parking places.
