I had the pleasure of shooting a wedding at Casa Maria. I've been to many beautiful venues, but this one really stood out to me as one of the best in terms of its gorgeous open space and incredible sunsets. The venue is located on a farm area/town, so you get plenty of room for dancing, tables, chairs, and even a photo booth. The sunsets were absolutely stunning—and there was plenty of natural light for taking photos during the day!The staff was friendly and helpful throughout the planning process. They made sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. I highly recommend this venue for anyone looking for an outdoor wedding with great lighting and lots of space for guests!

My husband & I searched for about six months for our wedding venue and were sold on the Casa Maria Hall moments after walking in. The venue is breathtaking! It has amazing views all around it and the hall itself had a rich Spanish/Mediterranean feel to it. Very eloquent which Call's for minimal decor since the venue really speaks for itself. The venue staff was very kind and helpful. William who runs it was very attentive and answered all my questions in a timely manner anytime I had any. He was there the day of the wedding to open up the venue for us so our team could prepare for the arrival of our guests. He manned the bar the evening of and our guests really enjoyed him. He had the bar as fully stoked as he could keep it but our people kept him on his toes. He had to do three liquor runs throughout the event because our people kept buying drinks. The venue itself was pretty useful. We were able to use the stage for our band, the courtyard for our dinner and special dances, the kitchen for our families to warm up food, & the reception hall to have our ceremony. This venue is very easy to use and I'd highly recommend it. The only other thing I would highly recommend is making sure to have your event fall or early spring as San Juan Bautista can be very hot. We got the perfect date doing it Labor Day weekend. Also, make sure your team works in a timely manner if not they will eat into your deposit if they stay longer than the time allotted to clean up. Disclaimer: If you are LGBT you cannot legally get married on the Casa Maria grounds as it is part of the Catholic Church. However, the loop hole we found is getting married ahead of time and having a ring exchange ceremony at Casa Maria in front of our friends and families worked just fine.

This 5 Star review is way over due and my husband, Max and I can't express how grateful we were to have worked with William, the Event Manager for the Casa Maria. From the get-go he was always responsive to our phone calls, texts and even accommodated our schedules so that we could see and conduct site visits with our vendors at the Casa Maria. He also worked with our schedules, so that we could set up decorations before the wedding. As I am an Event Planner myself, I did absolutely everything and it was a blessing to have William and his wife open up the doors for us to set up early! The venue also provides the bar and had an amazing selection of beer, wine and they even allowed us to bring in some of our own wine. They also do provide a full bar, but we just stuck with beer and wine for our crazy crowd. If you are looking for a unique venue with a Spanish/ Mediterranean flare, then this is it! It is absolutely beautiful inside and out! From the ballroom with a large stage, to the beautiful large glass windows that show amazing views of the outdoor dining area with statues, pillars, plus the gorgeous backdrop of the fields and mountains; your guests will be in AWWWWEEEE!!!!!!!!! Not to mention, the venue also comes with another large outdoor patio that is perfect for cocktail hour, plus there is a nice built in bar inside the space. The restrooms are also beautifully decorated with Spanish tiles and large ornate mirrors. Thank you again to William, his wife, and his bar staff! You all made are day truly special and we appreciate your professionalism and kindness for going above and beyond for us, our families and friends!

For wedding reception use, Casa Maria is only available if the wedding ceremony is at Mission San Juan Bautista so make sure the dates match! Casa Maria has a curfew of 10 PM but we had a day party so it worked out for us. Casa Maria is a beautiful old Mediterranean style venue with a gorgeous back drop - instead of a photobooth, we had large frames that guests could hold up! Initially, we planned for our luncheon to be outside but since it was a 110 F September day, we moved inside (thankfully, the a/c could keep up!) - Casa Maria fit enough tables for all our 130 guests. The coordinator, William Medina, was easy to work with - he met with us about 4 times as we took different coordinators and family to see the venue to plan. He is also the resident bartender and was very professional!

Beautiful venue to have a quiet reception. But if u plan on having a fun party this is not the place. The people managing (Rick & Mary) carry a decibal reader not allowing music above 85 decibals. Also the restroom plumbing needs lots of work. They were overflowing every 30 min. And they really need better catering. The caterer was related to the management. Food was not very good. The one star i gave them was for the views & location.
