Horrible branch. No one here is capable of doing anything for the client. I've called customer service and this branch directly, not once have they helped me as a client. Julio has horrible customer service skills. Will put you on hold for 20 min and tell you the same thing after hoping you hung up by then

Their branch staff are excellent but their management is horrible. God help you if you ask them a question. Help reduce your anxiety and bank elsewhere.

We have recently have had a very good experience with Bank of the West or BMO. After experiencing extensive Fraud with another large bank we have found some peace of mind and much better service at Bank of the West. Jeff the assistant manager has been absolutely wonderful. Friendly. Professional. Excellent service. Very responsive. Julio has also been very good. It feels good to have a personal feeling with banking again. We are hoping BMO continues the same business model. It's the people that make the business.

So I went to the bank of the west today on South Bristol as my work First American title issued me a check besides waiting in line for 10 minutes and proceeded to speak to the teller. I gave her a copy of my ID and a copy of the check. She said she had a check with her manager and then she told me they didn't have enough funds. I did turn around and look to see where the heck I was, I said, isn't this a bank and she says yeah, we have to keep it for our customers which again that is weird because my work is a customer who issued this check to me their employee...long story short to be turned away because they didn't have enough money to cash. a check drawn out of their bank is absolutely absurd and you should be ashamed of yourself. I cannot wait cause I'm gonna write to corporate about this. This is ridiculous.

Notice: this bank never called me back, so I had to deal with another facility. My post still applies:IF YOU EVER DO ANYTHING IN YOUR LIFE RIGHT, DO NOT BANK WITH BANK OF THE WEST. PLEASE. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. I just got off the phone with the branch manager (KAREN BURRIS) at this location who explained to me you are only allowed one reversal overdraft fee per year. HOWEVER, if you use Venmo, CashApp, Zelle, etc. this bank just uses its own authority to overlook that and still charge you an overdraft fee. So let's say you make an instant transaction...you receive xxx amount of money, you purchase something like a cup of coffee... They will literally say that the money wasn't available yet and you have to pay a fee of 35 dollars PER CHARGE. It is laughable at best. I wouldn't refer this BANK to my worst enemy. And I'm serious. Every other branch of bank DOES NOT do this. Please save your time and go to a bank that will treat you right. Karen Burris and every person I talked to along the way with this bank was extremely rude, non helpful, and cold. GO SOMEWHERE BETTER!!!!

Hours say they close at 5pm. They were closed at 4:30pm. Worst bank ever, they were so pushy trying to get me to invest my money in something. Awkward

This branch is terrible. I was on vacation in LA and went in the branch to deposit a check, the manager, who I didn’t get his name but was asian american, first asked me if i printed the check myself and who gave it to me, then he told me he will put two days hold on the check, i told him where i live 500 miles away never put hold on my checks he told he then go to my branch and deposit the check, i replied are you trying to be funny? I am on vacation here. I asked him if that was Bank of the West policy or its his own decision, he replied that was his own decision. Zero respect zero customer service.I went to the branch at Anaheim, deposited the same check, no rude unnecessary questions and no hold.

Swung by this local branch as this was closest to my work. Jeffrey & Debbie were able to help me out with my wire transfer. Although I wasn't able to make my cut off today as I came in too late I was enjoyed my experience working with the team. Would recommend.

Debbie was nice, However Courtney is very rude and has a smart attitude. She is not professional at all. She sat there texting when there was a huge line saying that they closed in 15 minutes and wed have to come back tomorrow. She is not helpful at all and rude to customers. She thinks she is better than everyone because she is a manager. I have never at any other bank of the west encountered someone with such an attitude. I have had more than two bad experiences with her and she is the reason why I will never attend that bank again. I was contemplating cancelling my bank of the west account all together so I dont have to deal with this ever again.

Good bank but there is never enough employees to help customers. Just to make a deposit you are looking at 20 minutes just waiting for someone to help you. Go o to Wells Fargo

In my 20 plus years of living in this country, I have never been so humiliated and disrespected by an employee, ESPECIALLY at a financial institution. In an effort to open up a trust account for my toddler urgently, due to a time sensitive matter I contacted the Irvine branch to seek assistance. I was advised by an employee in Irvine that he is the only one working at the branch and that since he is acting as a teller, he suggested that I go to the Santa Ana branch and ask for a Kim. I rushed over and got there at 11:30 with my son. Upon arriving, I asked for a Kim, and she greeted me. She then made an effort to inform me that there is another customer ahead of me. I smiled and told her I would wait. She then frantically went on to tell me that she might not be able to get to me today. I told her I was advised to come here so why am I not getting the service I asked for? She made a point to argue with me for over five minutes to tell me she's busy for the day, and that I should have made an appointment. To calm the tension down I suggested that instead of standing there arguing, she should tend to the client so I can get the services I was promised. She then snapped and loudly told me that I should have made an appointment. I stood there literally frozen not knowing what to do. Two customers ahead of me turned to me and shook their head in disappointment and uncomfortable at what just took place from a teller at a bank. I walked out and by the time I got back on the road it was too late to go to a different branch or a different bank that offers the same services. In addition to filing a complaint and requesting for a call from the regional manager of that branch Stacey, I want to publicly tell Kim that she is a disgrace and a pitiful human being who has been wrongfully employed to take care of people's financial needs. Where there is thousands of people looking for work, this poor excuse of a human being is the face of this bank, and if were in upper management, I would be very concern to have her lead in any way. I look forward to giving Kim's manager the opportunity to make this right, not just for me, but for any other person who this woman has disrespected in the past. And I also look SO forward to teaching Kimberly a lesson in customer service.

Bank of the worst!Michael Nunez announced loudly to the whole branch that I wanted to withdraw $9500 (which I had discreetly written on a piece of paper so as to not advertise it) and then they said they couldn't do it. They said they could do $5000 and then gave me attitude and we're very rude.
