Love San Roque Pet Hospital! Our Ridgeback bit into either a wasp or bee nest. Her head looked like something out of the movie Mask. As soon as we walked in Anna went to get the doctor and returned immediately with a tech who escorted Nala to the back. Dr. Renee came out within minutes and let us know she had 4 stingers in her mouth and she was going to give her a steroid shot and Benadryl and keep her for a couple of hours to make sure she had no adverse reaction. When I went to pick her up I was given complete instructions and what to look for during the next 24 hours. Nala's head is back to normal and she is bounding around as a 70lb+ puppy typically does. Thank you Dr. Renee and the staff at SRPH a trillion times for taking care of our baby!

The staff was instantly accessible when I called to make an appointment. Friendly and knowledgeable. I was even called back later to offer an earlier time that had opened up. The office is very attractive and comfortable. The staff was just what you want. I didn’t wait but a minute to go into my appointment The vet tech, Jessica, was very sincere and listened to my concerns. She told me what she was going to do and then take my cat back to see the veterinarian where she would be examined in a separate room. I waited a reasonable amount of time until Dr. Reid popped in. He was instantly reassuring that my cat was doing well, what he had done and examining her and what he surmised may have been the cause of her vomiting for two days that occurred two days prior to my appointment. He suggested I just pay attention to how she presents herself, and if there are increased problems or return of the first problem, I can come in and they can do a urine analysis and blood testing. He felt at this time it seemed necessary as she presented as a healthy cat.. Dr. Reid has a great sense of humor too.
The smiling woman behind the desk (I wish I remembered her name) got my bill together for me right away. She was very friendly and easy to talk with.
I felt as cared for as I had hoped my cat would feel. Lovely people. Very impressive.

I saw Dr Tucker for the first time and loved how wonderfully she interacted with my dog. She got right down to her level and sweet talked her while being very professional. I’ll be back and ask for her.

Tabitha, my 15 yr. old cat was seen and cared for by a thoughtful helper and a fine new Dr. Scott Palmer. He listened, gave me updated info that I was seeking. I felt support on every level.

I quite liked Dr. Haynes on our most recent visit and the assistant Sara. Never met either of them prior and we've been going there for years. Attentive, thorough, and great experience.

I'm a long time dog owner.. I'm very impressed with San Roque and the Monticito pet hospitals. The Dr's are very friendly and thorough. They check out the whole dog, not just the issue for the visit. I feel we are not rushed and all options are thoroughly explained.

We needed an emergency appointment on a Saturday. We were so glad to find that San Roque Pet Hospital had a spot available. The staff and veterinarian were very pleasant and helpful, and we were grateful to be able to get the help we needed at a reasonable cost.

Our old cat doesn't have a vet. When we arrived home from a vacation, we noticed he had a swollen jaw. It was a Saturday and we called some vets. As we weren't current clients, all recommended the 24 hour emergency service hospitals ( which we heard were very expensive). San Roque agreed to take him him. They lanced his abcess, gave us antibiotic and pain medicine and sent us on our way. The fees were reasonable considering what was done on such a short notice. Very nice personnel.

Office was clean and professional. All vets and techs were male which was problematic since my rescue dog was abused and afraid of men. She warms up to men who make an effort to make her comfortable. This vet office has zero skills in this. Not once did tech try and get down at her level to pet her, offer a treat or anything. Actual vet hovered in doorway, took my dog to the back to examine her, so nothing is actually done in exam rooms. They checked her ears and determined a $600 treatment plan for ear infections. In comparison with 4 other local vets, their prices are at least 30% above the already astronomical vet prices throughout Santa Barbara. Based on how cold and uninterested this office was, I would not go back nor recommend. Despite their $98 visit fee, I paid an additional separate visit fee elsewhere where my dog was treated much better.

Anisa was extremely rude, as soon as she answered the phone I was given attitude and she was not helpful. I had to ask to transfer to a different receptionist because she was so rude. I considered switching my pets to San Roque but based on this interaction, I wouldn't take any of my pets nor would I ever recommend you guys.

SRPH has cycled through so many different vets the last few years, it's near impossible to find a vet to trust. Today, I had an extremely negative experience with a new vet I hadn't seen before. She was abrasive and condescending in her tone. At one point, she was repeatedly raising her voice while telling me she has over 35 years of experience after I mentioned I had gotten a different perspective than what she wanted to hear from the vet over at Goleta Airport Hospital (literally their sister hospital). Needless to say, I'll be pulling my records from them and making Goleta my primary care provider.
