They became much more profitable commercial. They are no longer charity. They are very selective on your donations. They don't want something that don't look good for resale. They charge $25 for furniture donations. Yes that is way too crazy. Their resale prices are crazy high, even more expensive than brand new in retail stores... I don't see the points they deserve the name "good will"!!

They charge $25 per piece of furniture to accept the donation. You read that right. You pay THEM to donate your furniture. It's cheaper to take it to the dump. So much for trying to cut down on how much we're putting in a landfill.

Are spending regular store prices for donated clothes is so crazy. The people here are so rude they upped charge for items and the customer service is horrible paying $100 for just a couple items that they don’t even wash they just throw on hangers is really sick. Goodwill is so money hungry

This place is such a scam, was looking for pieces for a halloween costume and a wig was $30 and that's USED!! Almost everything is priced at $10+ and most of it is from Shein, romwe, etc. where you can buy them for the same price and new. They resell using new item pricing and considering everything is donated, that's just sad, sorry to all the people who are in need and can't even afford things from goodwill because they're so greedy!

I shop at the Santa Clara location often. Since they remodeled their store I did see their prices increase, however they do seem to have lowered them a bit because of so much criticism. I am not sure how the district office treat their employees . There are several employees at this store that are so dedicated and work their hardest to keep things clean and organized. One in particular is Tyler the Assistant Manager. He is like the Duracell bunny. He has great customer service, respect from his employees, is always moving and always trying to make the store look better. If anyone is looking for a great customer service person he would be a great person to take a chance on. I don't think Goodwill acknowledges some of these people. I would also love to mention Ray, Alban and Atsede for their hard working and customer server skills. They always have a smiling face and are eager to help. Again, I don't know if Goodwill always recognizes employees like this, but they have worked very hard to get where they are and I just wanted to say Thank You,not all people especially in retail are as caring.

First off I want to say that the staff here is great. They are always helpful and very friendly.I used to come here all the time before the remodeling. You'd fine good stuff for great prices all the time. Nowadays not so much. The prices are now waaaay to high. Board games that are sealed with tape (with no way of checking if all the pieces are there) are marked anywhere from$7 to $10.Clothing prices has gone up as well. Again nothing against the workers its about the decisions corporate is making when it comes to pricing.

Huge store. Nice selection of work/school bags and soft luggage. Options for work clothes. Dressing rooms. A surprising number of brand new items. Parking is a bit rough, it is a small awkwardly shaped lot. Still, inside = FANTASTIC.

First time here, not a good experience. Staff shouting at each other across the store. One staff randomly giving me his opinion, repeating it loudly to get my attention. Tried to purchase 2000 piece puzzle marked $2.96. Cashier lady said, "Nope, that's not the price. Our puzzles are not priced this low." There were two other price stickers below the top one. I asked, "What price do they start?" She said, "I don't know, but not this low." She started to peel the stickers off as she was walking away, "I'll go get the right price." Five minutes later, she returns, "It's $7.29." I passed. When do stores not honor the floor sticker price? Was the item not marked down if there were two other price stickers below it? Is Goodwill about making profit now? You can keep your 2000 piece puzzle. Will not go back.

This was my first time going to a grand re-opening and I was extremely happy. The new look was phenomenal, items were organized, and super clean layout overall. I did bump into several crowds but that was to be expected on opening day. I found amazing clothes to give to my family and friends. I will be coming to this location again in the future! I recommend 10/10!

This location seems to be closed. Drove past the location on December 31st. Observed that the building looked empty, with some trucks in the parking lot, and some workers moving the donation boxes.Drove by again tonight on Jan. 1st. The lights are off, including the signage. There is a metal security fence around the property. Two prominent signs on the Kiely side of the building: "Closed for Remodeling" and "Still accepting donations". Okay. Closed for remodeling can be interpreted in different ways in Silicon Valley. They may be back, or that attraction of another tall, high density housing development on a tiny, centrally located lot was way too strong for a developer. We will see what transpires. Hmm.. With the security fence around the perimeter, it would be difficult to drop off goods. It was already a real pain to come over to this when the place was open, i.e. the limited space ( AND misanthropic Goodwill employee on duty for the donation area) for this location. Look for other options.
