A wonderful facility doing wonderful things for the animals in our community. I adopted two cats from
Here, the animals looked calm and happy and all the living areas were clean. Thank you for the work that you do!

Volunteered here for a year and socialized kittens. The best place to adopt from. There are discounts on the adoption fee for few kittens/dogs during festive seasons. Check their website for more detailed information on discounts. The kittens/dogs/other animals have detailed description about them on the website along with photos. They have lot of toys to keep them engaged. I loved my time here especially with kittens!

I recently adopted at this location and I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a new friend! The facility is clean, organized, and the staff was definitely friendly/helpful. I can tell they take care of the animal’s well-being and health. They provide you with documentation of vet care and pets are microchipped. The adoption process was straightforward and they had a summer promotion which I thought was fun! I am so glad to have found my kitty Callie here ?

Such a wonderful experience. The staff are incredibly helpful and thoughtful. You can tell they really care for these animals. It’s so important to adopt. I highly recommend visiting the shelter and bringing home a new family member.
We added Maple to our family. She’s a sassy chihuahua mix and we adore her. So does her brother and sister.

After an unfortunate encounter with an uncontrolled canine in a Campbell neighborhood, it is such a refreshing experience to consult with the Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority (SVACA). From the discussions in reception area at the Santa Clara office to the phone consultations with Officer Castro, SVACA officials process cases in a non-judgmental manner clearly sympathizing with residents who may have lower comfort levels with off leashed canines that charge residents in an aggressive manner. In this close encounter, no injuries were reported and the community meetings really helped to prepare for such a situation (i.e., to stand your ground and direct the animal to retreat in commanding voice).
While owners have to adhere to local ordinances and maintain control of animals, it is really helpful to speak to officer Castro and the SVACA team to understand canine behavior especially on public sidewalks near garages and all the details that come with such incidents. I feel in a much better position to handle such situations in the future and be in control. I only wish that more residents would join community meetings or at least consult with SVACA before accepting the risks and responsibilities that come with ownership.
Threats and imitation to get off public sidewalks in such situations are unneighborly and will trigger unnecessary case work. Take responsibility, mitigate negligent behavior and be aware of the risks

adopted a dog from here Jan 19th. On intake they noted the dog had been vomiting that was 3 weeks prior to me adopting him. He continue to vomit during his stay and the shelter did not even bother to treat or look into his condition on why he was vomiting . I called the shelt to ask for the vetinarian to reach out to me since I adopted a dog that was having health issue. NOBODY EVER CALLED ME BACK. Nor did they disclose this information at the time of the adoption. It was only discovered when I was reviewing the notes on his stay did I catch this. He continues to vomit. If you adopt from this shelter be sure to read the entire history of his stay and any noted medical conditions. Clearly they simply want to collect the adoption money, quietly hide the fact they allowed a dog to be adopted that should have been treated prior to being put up for adoption. The fact nobody ever returned my calls or emails should tell you alot about this shelter.

I've ran into Ed Castro(spelling?) while I was out looking for a lost stray/community feral cat. He was out on a call but he made sure to stop and discuss my situation with me. He assured me he monitors this area and will let me know if he hears or gets any calls about a cat if it has the same description as I provided. We also had a good conversation overall. He genuinely cares about animals and their well being. Additionally, every time I've called SVACA (including a time I found a lost dog and dropped him off at their building after hours), every single operator was extremely professional and nice. I am glad this service exists in our area. Thank you!
