I switched to this Vet because I found my last Vet inaccessible when my dogs were sick. I was very pleased withe the Vets and the staff. Now I have a new puppy and when I called today to make an appointment to get his vaccinations, I reached the absolutely rudest person on the phone. They apparently have no openings for a month but the pup's due for a shot next week. I asked if I could bring him in to get the vaccine and then schedule the appointment for his exam in July when they have an opening. I was told in a very hostile tone that that would be "breaking the law" . I asked her not to be so hostile and she elevated her hostility. Obviously I care about my puppy's health a lot more than she did and know that an unvaccinated puppy is very vulnerable to deadly diseases. I went to Dr Clay as my vet for 25 years. He ran an office that was available, kind and compassionate. Since he retired it's been impossible to find that kind of care again. Honestly if you can't be nice, don't get a job answering a phone. If you are a Vet, running a clinic, screen your employees for personality. Having an abusive front desk can ruin your reputation regardless of how good a vet you are.

Friendly staff, decent prices and solid care. The Dr gave the dogs a thorough go over and recommended some preventative care for them as they age!

I had a good experience with the Veterinarian and the staff. I just started taking my dogs to them. My first visit was very expensive but I understand because there was so many tests. I would recommend this place because they are very thorough and knowledgeable. They are kinda expensive is the only reason they didn't get 5 stars. The service they provided was wonderful so if you love your little or big ones this place is for you. Thank you Animal Hospital of Soquel!

I was a 15 year client of Soquel animal hospital Two years ago, Dr. Evans ostensibly performed a malpractice against my animal, and they refused to discuss it I calmly called him many times, and was rebuked I showed up physically at the vet and the office manager falsely accused me of being a threat and called the sheriffs department and I was surrounded by sheriffs Having a cognitive disability, this is a gross violation of the American disability act and bullying and highly illegal. I do not recommend that you do business with this organization. I could sue them for a lot of money, but I can't do them dirty like they did me

I have been taking my pets to Animal Hospital of Soquel since 2018. They have always given my pets the best of care, from surgeries to nail trims. Very professional, fast to diagnose and treat anything that is going on with my fur babies. I would never trust anyone else with my animal care. If I could give 100 stars, I would.

I wanted to find a daycare/boarding place for our young pup. He was more anxious and high strung than most dogs so this was indeed a challenge. Animal Hospital of Soquel was suggested to me by a good friend so I definitely wanted to check it out. On his first day, I crossed my fingers and toes when I dropped him off and hoped for the best. About a few hours later, I got a call from AHS and it was simply to update me that not only was he doing well, he had also made some new friends! Needless to say, I was ecstatic! When I went to pick him up a few hours later, he was happy and not anxious at all. The staff who I met that day were also so reassuring and kind; Mariah in the morning and Brandy in the afternoon. I was so happy about our dog's first day that I set up future appointments immediately. I'm so happy with this place and the fact that it is also a complete vet hospital is a huge cherry on top for me. I am so comforted by the fact that if anything medical were to happen, he would be taken good care of. This is the place to go if you want to board your dog for the day or longer. So grateful for this place!

Recently took my friends dog in for her as she was unable to bring him in. As I was waiting in the lobby I saw a male doctor who was frantic and very loudly talking badly about a different patient. I hoped not to receive that doctor care in fear of being bad mouthed. During my appointment he had made me uncomfortable and make me feel incompetent. Was also rude and demanding to the technician. I will be letting my dear friend know that she should seek care elsewhere

Just started boarding with them. Well run and high quality organization. I will probably switch my vet over here as well.

I am so grateful to Animal Hospital Of Soquel. I am living out of town for 6 months, and my cat has been staying with animal sitters and developed a hot spot and some mats in her fur. The staff at Animal Hospital were so incredibly kind to my mom who brought my cat in to be seen - they were so sweet and gentle with my cat, treated her quickly and painlessly, and sent her on her way with some meds for her hot spot, all for a very very reasonable cost. I can't say how grateful I am to know they are in my community and I can bring my pet to them. Thank you to the team!!!

Animal Hospital of Soquel is simply the BEST! Dr. Evans has been treating our dogs for the past 25 years (we have followed him from location to location). He and his entire crew make you think YOUR pet is the MOST IMPORTANT thing they have to deal with at any given time Each of our 3 dogs HAVE LOVED GOING to the vet! There's nothing our current dog, Ziggy would rather do than go see all his friends at AHOS. Not to mention Dr. Evans saved his life by expediting tests & surgery to remove his dangerously enlarged spleen. All the assistants, techs & receptionists are unfailingly kind, attentive & enthusiastic. Love them ALL!

Super caring staff! My first time there, my dog was super hyper and the vet sat on the floor with her and let her sniff him and get out all of her energy. When getting my dogs blood drawn, the staff allowed her to get out her zoomies in the back room and seemed to genuinely enjoy being around her. It felt really good to be around people who truly connected with my dog and seemed happy to interact with her. I'm also a young pet owner so it was super comforting being able to ask questions about anything! Love this place so far

I made an appointment for my dog to come in to get spayed as they would not let me know an estimated price over the phone. They brought in paperwork and for a spay without underlying conditions was going to cost me $1,000-$1300. As a college student trying to do the right thing for my pet and community I felt that was a ridiculous price for such a common procedure. I have 6 other dogs at home in which I know the average cost (250-600) so it was just really saddening to see them take advantage of a very common surgery.

Less than a year after writing this my kitty passed away at approximately 4 years old from organ failure. By the time he died he was gaunt and at the end could no longer groom himself because his mouth was in too much pain even with the help of pain killers that curbed the pain for the months preceding his death. I will never stop wondering if I could have changed his outcome if I was able to treat his illness sooner. Even if catching the issue sooner wouldn't have helped, I do know now that my cat was in terrible pain that could have been relieved sooner if this vet had simply listened to my concerns and examined my cat properly.
