Boudin SF is a go-to spot for delicious fresh bread and so much more! Whether you're craving a hearty sandwich, a savory soup, or a flavorful salad, this place has it all. The highlight, of course, is their famous sourdough bread, baked to perfection and served with every meal. The menu offers a great variety of options for every taste, including vegetarian and gluten-free choices. The ambiance is casual and inviting, perfect for a quick lunch or a relaxed dinner. The staff is friendly. Don't forget to try their clam chowder served in a sourdough bread bowl - it's a must-try!

I know it sucks working rush hour but you guys have got to pay attention to your customers, even if its just to get the name of their order and to tell them you’re working on it. Because then you end up serving 10 people and ignoring one person, making them wait 3 times as long as everyone else because you didnt check on them. I watched you guys make the orders of people who arrived after i did and then had to ask and you guys hadnt even printed out the ticket for my order. You ifnored over 10 guests and we all had to ask you about our orders. It’s much easier to acknowledge your customers presence so they dont feel like they have to bug you

San Francisco sourdough with soup in a bread bowl is the best. My mother loved the brownies. My son enjoyed the hot soup after a hard day.

Absolutely delighted with my experience at Boudin! This charming establishment exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm and friendly service. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal. Now, let's talk about the food! Boudin's menu is a true culinary masterpiece. The selection of bread and pastries is divine, and their famous sourdough is an absolute must-try. It's no wonder they've been perfecting it for over a century; the taste is unparalleled.I also had the pleasure of trying their sandwiches and soups, and they were nothing short of spectacular. Each bite was bursting with flavor, and the quality of the ingredients was evident. The clam chowder was a personal favorite – creamy and rich, a true comfort food. The staff's knowledge and enthusiasm for their offerings added an extra layer of enjoyment to the experience. Whether you're a local or a visitor, Boudin is a culinary gem that should not be missed. I left with a full belly and a big smile, eager to return. Five stars without a doubt!

Have eaten here in the past and loved it. Yesterday we got the BTLA sandwich to go and it was just about inedible. The bread was toasted so hard, you couldn't bite through it. To eat it, we had to dissect it bite by bite, allowing a good look at the other ingredients. The avocado was barely a smear of green on the bread. No other condiments were discernable. Very thin slices of tomato and underdone bacon. Overall, very sad, since we had such good memories of going there.

I just love their brie, fig, apple grilled cheese sandwich! Makes it extra nice snack when it comes with chips or fruit.

Went here with my dad when we were in Santa Rosa. When we went inside we ordered at the Kiosk but when we tried to pay with a gift card, it wouldn't work so we ended up having to reorder at the register. Maybe if we paid with card it would have been fine. I ordered a "pick a pair" with clam chowder soup in a bread bowl and French dip sandwich and the total of my meal was about $14. Not too bad considering how much food (bread) you get. I have noticed the bread at Boudin can be hit or miss. Sometimes it is super fresh and pillowy while other times it tastes a bit stale. Today, they bread was great, super soft and good flavor. The clam chowder is always solid. The French dip sandwich was ok. Not much too it, just bread, beef and au jus. The sandwich was dry without the dipping sauce and the beef tasted overcooked and poor in quality. Overall not a bad meal and I will be trying a different sandwich next time.

Visited with family for lunch today. We will not be returning. $32.00 for 2 Bowls of soup and 2 half sandwiches? Crazy and not that good. Boudin is going to charge those prices we can get better quality food elsewhere.
