A bag of purchased items was left at the Santa Rosa Home Depot. It took 30 minutes of calling to reach someone. They told me they reshelved all of the purchased items instead of leaving it with customer service!!! They obviously prioritize profits over customer service!

There were several employees that asked me if I needed assistance, which was much appreciated, yet when I went to check out, I thought I was at the self check-out as it was in the area of the self check out line sign. A cashier curtly told me that it was not self check out and I advised I was sorry. He was extremely unfriendly and mostly just pointed, no "thank you" or "you can insert your card now". When I asked him if he could add my phone number he appeared irritated and it ended not getting entered and no military discount was applied like all other Home Depot's I have shopped at. My wife had a basket of merchandise, but we decided to end our shopping experience as we would rather shop where we feel appreciated and in a non-confronting environment.

I think the employees at Home Depot Santa Rosa (the black gentleman in lumber) need to learn how to have better customer service and treat customers with respect instead of trying to down grade. There was a blond lady at self check out that was the only one that was respectful and helped without attitude.

If you have been in a home depot anywhere else then you pretty much know exactly what this one is like and looks. Has all the hardware supplies and tools you need for almost every project

It's a Home Depot. Has lots of what you need for home improvement and tools. They are moving more and more toward their own brands. Some are executed well. Some are meh. They change suppliers a decent amount as well which can be annoying. Lots of materials are low cost and low quality like their competitors. Nothing super positive or negative to say. Help can be a hit or miss. Most of the time they seem understaffed. The biggest downside to this store (and most other Home Depot's) is the absence of manned check out stations and the small number of self checkout lanes. This store on average only has 4-6 stations which becomes a bottleneck at peak hours.

The staff is REALLY Great! Very helpful and knowledgeable. Every employee I dealt with knew their stuff and were polite and gracious. Of course, the store and products were tops!

Home Depot is not my first choice for hardware, just because it's so huge and can be hard to find help. Stuff is not always easy to find, and their prices ain't always great, but it's a necessary evil shopping there if you need a lot of items and don't feel like running around. However- they do not have a section where you can select individual small hardware parts like washers and seals out of divided plastic bins like the local chains have. So if you need a single bolt, nut, gasket, etc, stick with the local guys. One thing I do like - you can go nerd out on tools and fasteners while your significant other pokes around in the garden area (or vice versa). It fills a need.

I was on the hunt for some lumber and they had what I wanted but their table saw was broken and has been for months. The member told me I could cut my own wood with a hand saw if I wanted then walked away. It took me forever to locate a member in the first place, then when I do, he tells me to cut it myself. First of all, a hand saw for 2" redwood would be rough for a 65 year old woman. Second, he could of offered to do it for me but he was more about being lazy. I couldn't have been more disappointed in that store. Needless to say, I won't be back there.

Shelves were stocked well. They seemed a little understaffed since it took them 20 minutes to find someone to open drill lockup. However I found what I needed which is what matters most.

Apparently there is no one in the entire store that can help me load plywood into my vehicle. I just had surgery and cannot do it myself. The clerk called to get someone for me, but I've been standing outside waiting for help for 30 minutes and no one will come. I asked her again to call for me, but she said no, that I was just going to have to wait a very long time.

Today received delivery on my new Maytag refrigerator. Very exceptionally happy with Home Depot ‘bot buy’ interaction, with quick delivery and polite and competent (and thorough) delivery people.Elias and Jose arrived on the dot of 10am, removed my old fridge and in a snap had my new in place. Answered all my questions, replaced a heavy table in dining room (moved for access to kitchen) that I could not have moved, stripped the plastic off my fridge, took my signature and were gone by 10:30.Thank you Elias and Jose. And thank you Home Depot. I’m saving for my next appliance and you will get my business.

I needed a new dehumidifier and I saw one that I wanted, so I called to check availability. I waited for 8 minutes for someone to answer, but nobody answered. As the store is fairly close I went to the store. Couldn't find anyone to help me. Finally I found Lea who did help. I found the one I wanted, but it was on a high shelf, so Lea called for help. It took over 10 minutes and Lea had to call several times. I was finally able to check out. If it hadn't been for Lea, I would have given 1 star.

I went there near closing to purchase some floor mats and a lamp. When I showed up to the self check out one of the floor mats didn't have a bar code so I was told I had to go 3/4 across the store to find one with a bar code. So I did. When I returned to the self checkout a different staff employee told my trip was unnecessary and a large man/boy told me I was acting like a child. So I walked out on a 150.00 dollar purchase. When I walked out the man/boy yelled profanity's at me and another Home Depot employee threatened to fight me. I've lived in Santa Rosa most of my life andthis is the worst service I have ever experienced. Don't ever go to this place.

This location is only successful in-spite of themselves. I'm all about customer service having worked in customer service for years including retail. I asked about having PVC cut and was given the run around and wasted time. Normally it's challenging to find anyone to help, when you do they are either talking to one another or you feel like you are interrupting their day. When I finally came upon an employee not in that section I was made to feel like I was asking for a service that was never heard of. Then I asked another question of where to find another item and the employee even made a "funny" remark of wanting it all. I wouldn't have minded the remark under different circumstances. It doesn't fail when I need something from lumber, or assistance within the screws and bolts section I'm made to feel like a "woman is distress" or out of place. I will begin to drive to the competitor even if farther distance just to receive proper customer service.
