This is to serve the 40 million people that read my reviews on Google maps... The good: Thos is a huge Home Depot store with a great selection. In this part of Santa Rosa, this seems to be the only game in town (that I know of). The bad: Customer service in almost every department is absolutely atrocious. Everyone seems to be on pins and needles. You can feel the tense atmosphere minutes after you walk in. They look at every man in here as a thief. I've seen people of color gets harassed, ignored and treated badly by the staff here. They have no respect for customers. So bad that you feel uncomfortable watching all of it. Is this a Home Depot in California or a Home Depot in the old Apartheid South Africa? I fault this sad situation to the store manager and his leadership team's attitudes and values -- which might be cascading down to workers at this store.

So, I needed to purchase a new toilet. I checked Lowe's and Home Depot and decided on Home Depot. I found one I like on the website and it said it was $199.00 because of a special purchase. Normally $249.00. So I get it on a cart and head up to the cashier with a box of 10d nails for another project. The toilet rings up at $249. I said"no, it's on sale for $199 and showed them the web page. The cashier says "Oh, that's the web page. It's different than the store." What? I didn't argue with the cashier, because where is that going to get me. So I went to customer service. Customer service goes trying to tell me the same thing. I requested to speak to a manager. Customer service says "Let me see if I can match Lowe's price." I said "How about you see if you can match your own price!" as they continued on to check Lowe's web page. Finally a manager gives them the ok to give it to me for $199. Jo this took me over 20 minutes including waiting n the customer service line. I still requested to speak to a manager. After about 10 minutes "Maria", who is wearing an apron just like the cashiers, comes over and tells me the same thing and tries to tell me it is an online price and the website isn't connected to the Home Depot stores. I asked her to show me where it said it is an online price and she couldn't, so she is making that shit up while she is talking to me. I asked if the website isn't connected with the store, why does it say Santa Rosa store and give me the quantity they have on hand as well as the aisle and bay number where to find it? No, I'm pissed off now. Why do I have to spend 20 to 30 minutes trying to get their advertised price on a product? The website and store are obviously connected. It shows stock on hand and exactly where to find it. I think this qualifies as false advertising and I'll be following up with upper management or corporate and sharing my story with the public. It's wrong!

Jeremy at Santa Rosa Home Depot has helped us out twice: once with plumbing and another time with getting keys made. But I'm sure he's not limited to that. He seems to be a very capable guy. What really stood out is that went out of his way each time to make sure we got what we were looking for. He didn't just point us in the right direction of a part. He made our task, his task. He was also knowledgeable, efficient, polite, and friendly. But it really stood out that he went the extra mile and invested himself in making sure our project, whatever it was, was a success. Thanks for going the extra mile Jeremy!

I went to Home Depot to buy plantation shutters for my windows. I found out that a company named Rockwood in Houston is the one that makes and installs the shutters. I paid almost $4000 and several weeks later on the day when Rockwood told me to stand by from 1 PM to 5 PM, at the last minute Rockwood told me that they lost my shutters and had no clue what happened to them. That was two days ago! Until this very day, I still do not know what happened to my plantation shutters. I called Home Depot and sent all the paperwork from Rockwood including my receipts yesterday and I still have not received any results from Home Depot. HOME DEPOT MUST KNOW THAT THEY ARE PARTNERING WITH A BUNCH OF CROOKS AT ROCKWOOD. HOME DEPOT NEEDS TO CHECK OUT THE POOR REVIEWS FROM CUSTOMERS ABOUT ROCKWOOD. ROCKWOOD IS A TERRIBLE COMPANY WITH TONS OF BAD REVIEWS FROM THEIR DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMERS.

I needed a short piece of 12/2 romex wire for a small project and a couple jb's...I haven't bought wire from the Home Depot since the start of the plandemic. To my dismay, the same 25' piece of wire that was $14 in 2018 was now $55 dollars! Yes, $55. I thought there had to be a mistake, so I asked the very nice and polite cashier Heather if I could speak with someone about this to be sure there isn't a pricing error or something. "Maria" came out and explained to me very clearly that this is "how it is now" and "we just have to deal with it". She asked me if I have been grocery shopping lately...well I'm actually a robot, I don't need food to live...so...obviously I haven't been grocery shopping...duh! She was also so polite that she told me "welcome to 2024!" That was so sweet! Apparently the margins are so slim for big box stores that there's just "barely any room for profits" that makes sense...I always thought the standard markup for retail was 100%...but apparently not in 2024...I'm so glad she cleared that up for me! She said I could call the wire company Cerro Max and talk to them about why even after all the supply chain shortages and the lock downs from the "super scary" Covid 19 (patent number 666) are over they are still charging 5X the price of things...but not all things...just the things that hit a small business owner or a contractor extra hard...the things that make small jobs so incredibly expensive that people can barely afford to put another can light in their bathroom or whatever. Despite all this, I'm still going back...I mean I've already spent about a quarter million dollars at the Home Depot in my life...might as well just let them drain me of my last dollar until I don't have a home to live in...but at least I could go back there and remember what it used to be like...buying sticks of 1/2" conduit for a $1.62...the good old days...seems like yesterday...but that was 5 whole years ago...just imagine how bad it would be if we didn't have good ol Bidenomics keeping inflation down! Love that guy! And Maria too...she's the best! I'll see you soon Maria...I'm gonna bring some balloons to celebrate this glorious new year...and a cake (that way I can find out what these grocery things are). It will be fun!See ya! :)

I have had a unexpected challenges in completing a front porch project due to incorrect product, insufficient product, and lack of response from my original provider. I went into Home Depot and was immediately helped by an employee to locate my options in the store. He then introduced me to Tammy Stephens, one of the Pros. She walked me through design options and gave me her card to have my contractor send her the measurements. It could not have been an easier or more enjoyable process, especially after having this project drag out over a month. I would highly recommend this store and working with its Pros. They operate with integrity, communicate clearly, and deliver on what they commit to doing. THANK YOU!!!!

Put the Home Depot app in your phone and look up what you need cause you won't find help half the time.

We went Christmas Eve and hour before closing and found the employees to be incredibly helpful. Everyone from appliances - helping us find an order from March figure out what next steps were for our fridge, to windows - helping us learn what to look for in replacing a window, and a few other random things we had to do as newbie Home depot shoppers. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Thank you!

Long time Home Depot Customer. I Probably spent between 30 and $50,000 with Home Depot this year. Today i walked into the Santa Rosa store looking for a few items. I had done some online research and it showed that one of my items ( an Rv extension cord) was available to pick up in the store. When I got there, I the item was out of stock so i asked an associate just to make sure i hadn't missed it. He proceeded to give me a lecture from the associate in the next department over that pick up in the store doesn't mean pick up in the store, it means order it And then pick up in store when it arrives.... Ok no biggie but after configuring what i needed to make it myself i went up to the check out where at least 7 or 8 associates stood talking and ask for help in electrical. She was nice and told me she would get some buddy over there to help me and I went back to work for the parts that I was needing. Of course, nobody showed up and after getting frustrated I just walked off to look for the next item I was looking for. I walked up to associate in the lumber department and asked the young man if he could tell me where i might find butcher block counter tops. He looked up and replied " im not sure" and went about doing what he was doing. I think its time i find a new source for my Home Improvement needs.
