It was my first day here and my first time taking any classes. I was very scared and worried that I wouldn't be able to keep up with my swim work -out class. ( I'm partially disabled ) but Diane the instructor made me feel so comfortable. The pool is a little crowded but I was able to find spot to blend in. Highly recommend for people who do physical therapy .

From the front desk to the instructors themselves, the Y is welcoming and pleasant. I find the whole experience easy to navigate, and there are many options for classes to suit different needs. I would recommend Southwest Y to anyone who wants to get back into regular exercise in a fun and easy way.

My son has been coming here for swim lessons for the past year. He has really enjoyed the lessons and the instructors are really, really good at working with kids. As a parent, that means the world to me. Additionally, this YMCA has very clean locker rooms and showers, has great facilities (for working out), and plenty of parking.

Absolutely love the Tai Chi, the e-machines, and most of all the friendly staff who are so supportive. Included in all of this is the relaxed, friendly family atmosphere and feeling that exercise should be fun!

Amazing experience with swim lessons for children at this YMCA! Quality instruction, skills taught were impressive, and the instructors we had (Laleh and Diana) were so great with kids!

My son was in the Saturday group swimming class. Ever week, they had a different coach. As coaches didn’t know the progress of the kids, so they just ask them to do what they already learned. Nobody prepared the certificate for the kids. It’s waste of your time and money. I won’t recommend the swimming class to anybody.

Love this Y. Friendly staff and a great place to interact with all ages in the community. They do the best they can with the space and have improved every year. Recently updated cardio room. Weight room a little crowded but an unbeatable value for the price. Great way to start your day !!

For the past few years, I was struggling to motivate myself to work out by myself and kept finding excuses not to. Also whenever I exercised by myself, it would be for short durations. But this changed since I joined Southwest YMCA a year ago, mainly due to their group lessons, which are consistently scheduled, with classmates at mixed levels, and amazing instructors and state of the art equipment.Plenty of group lessons are scheduled throughout the day into the evening and also on weekends, and the YMCA app is easy to use and shows you upcoming classes for the day and week, so you can plan your calendar or even pick something last minute. If you can just motivate yourself to show up to class, the fabulous instructors ensure that you stay engaged and won't notice that the hour flies by quickly! There's no way I can motivate myself to work out for a full hour, so the group classes are a huge blessing. The Southwest YMCA facility off Quito road is convenient to drive to, and absolutely gorgeous, spacious and convenient layout - I understand it was a school before, so looks like they creatively used the gym, pool, admin, and classroom areas to create various workout studios.Parking is abundant and right outside the entrance so you can arrive just in time to optimize your time spent. The front desk staff is super friendly and helpful, they always greet everyone cheerfully and have loaned me towels and yoga mat when I forgot to bring mine.In general all instructors and staff are fabulous, but my favorites are body pump by Iwona, cycling by Kim and yoga by Mayu. The studios are large and you never feel too crowded, all the equipment is state of art - I've used the weights, bikes and TRX all have been shiny and work great. Attendees are thoughtful and sanitize diligently after use. They also have great programs for outdoor running, hiking, cycling group to encourage you to get out. I've attended an 8 week running club and it was lots of fun in a group ending in a 5k / 10k race. The swim programs and pool also look amazing and inviting but I haven't ventured into those yet.I introduced my BIL to YMCA during their free enrollment promotion period, and he's hooked as well and sometimes attends 2 classes a day!We both carpool sometimes and looking forward to getting healthy and fit!
