I like doing business in person. And since I now live a half hour from the preparer I have come to be comfortable with, I can no longer take for granted that I will have reliable transportation to and from any appointments.

Arrived on time for my appointment, was told it would be "a few minutes", but it was over half an hour before I sat down with the only preparer in the building, Irena. Apparently the receptionist did this to all the folks before and after us too, no call or text to say they're running late. My return is not complex, but I do have a tiny bit of book royalty income. Irena began to enter it on the wrong form, I had to correct her and walk her through it. Took an extra 3 or 4 minutes, for which they charged me an additional $110 on top of basic fee. (This was not disclosed until the end, and I was never asked to ok the additional fee. The royalty income was only $56 income, so it cost me twice what I earned to report it through Block.) I then asked about help filing an amended return for previous year, and it became clear that Irena knew even less about the process or the rules than I did. Don't waste your money - if you have anything more than a simple return, go elsewhere.

Shame on you once shame on me twice. I used these guys last year. I had problems I said maybe it was just a bad day. So I dropped my taxes off to be done last Monday I called on Friday they said they were not ready yet. But if I stayed on Monday they could have been done then. Somebody called me on Saturday. I was working I asked if they were open Sunday they said yes 12-4 even says it on their door. Showed up to pay my money and guess what they were closed. I really want to stay in sebastapol but not any more. These people are rude and will not be getting my buisness next year
