Collective Co-op in Sierra Madre was a happy surprise for me. I went into the store not knowing what to expect, and was happy to be there. Hand-crafted items as well as international items were well displayed. And the atmosphere was pleasant. One of the owners was friendly and helpful. I bought a nice wooden serving dish and am pleased with my purchase. The store fits in with the small town feel. Go visit it yourself for fun, one-of-a-kind items.

Love Sierra Madre and the Collective Co-op fills a hole that was created when the gift shop on Baldwin by the Four Seasons Tea Room closed. Collective Co-op brings together several independent, local business: Covey Designs (women's clothing), Vivian Blythe (women's clothing), M&C Collective (home decor), and Paperwhite (greeting cards and gifts). These shops offer unique items that you won't find at Westfield Santa Anita. And they're all women-owned. Like Sierra Madre, the items are tasteful and not flashy. They have tote bags, jewelry, throws, gift wrap, clothing, scarves, welcome mats, pillows, dishes, etc. Prices aren't bad either. I thought they'd be higher considering the clothes are designed locally.
