Terrible service won't even go in the back and check to see if a certain pro scooter is in stock. What a waste of time.

The only reason I give this rating is that even though "skate" is in their name, they have VERY little skateboards or skate accessories. They've revamped their stock and mostly cater to paint ball enthusiasts now. There's probably only like 5% of anything skate related in the store. The corner wall that used to be stacked with boards now has none. I wasted a trip there when I dropped back in town. The only reason I went back, was because I remembered they had a pretty decent stock. Not anymore. They should change their name to Paintball America. That would be more fitting.

So disappointed! Shopped here for Christmas 2019 and great selection of skateboards and customer service. Brought boards from the warehouse for me to look at. Went earlier this week and they no longer have the large selection of boards. Maybe a dozen on display, limited parts. Seems like they have shifted towards paintball items, shoes and clothing. I understand covid has impacted inventory but it appeared the store is no longer carrying skateboard items. Sales rep was not knowledgeable or helpful. Ordered online what we wanted from another site.

Spent $103.17 on two pairs shoes that my husband really wanted. He’s been anxious for some decent shoes! So we placed this order just to be told a week or so after that one of the pairs he ordered was out of stock. That’s it, no info as to which ones, just that they are out of stock. So we played the waiting game to see which pair would arrive. Finally, we get them just to find out they aren’t the right size. We ask about a refund or exchange (we’d be happy to get the same pair in the right size). The answer was “sure but you’ll have to pay for shipping to return them”. So let me get this straight... we spent $103.17 on this order which included $13 shipping costs, just to find out we have to spend another $25 on shipping them back ourselves. WOW talk about horrible customer service. Breaking it down we are now going to be paying $60+ for shoes that were $45 and we won’t even have a pair or shoes to show for.Coming from many years of retail and customer service myself, to now owning my business, all I can say is good luck to you guys. You clearly are behind on the times with your customer care and order policies. I checked the site and not one single policy is listed stating the customer would be liable for shipping costs on the return.My advice - don’t order online from here. You’ll be thankful you didn’t.

Don't mail order anything from this company, ever. My husband ordered a longboard from SkateAmerica.com and Fed Ex flubbed the delivery. It was either delivered to the building next door or pocketed by the driver. Either way, we opened a case with Fed Ex...luckily had videos of the delivery, lack of delivery, etc. We check in with Skate America, they tell us that our claim has been denied by Fed Ex. I call Fed Ex and the claim is still open. Meanwhile we're arguing with them for over an hour, literally telling Skate America that Fed Ex is still investigating and that we literally have videos proving this wasn't delivered. We had to handle the non delivery claim start to finish and dealt with Fed Ex for days even though we sent SkateAmerica the videos proving it was not delivered. Skate America never lifted a finger to help or get it resolved and were complete jerks to us every step of the way. Plenty of small businesses that hustle out there and deserve your money more.

Im only giving 4 stars because they have a lot of stuff on the site that is sold out or says it’s in stock, but really isn’t . I ordered a hoodie, tank top, t shirt, a pair of socks, a pair of shoes and a t shirt for my girlfriend. They shipped out within a day, and the shipping confirmation email said I was partially refunded for the pair of shoes and the shirt I had placed an order for. Other reviews I’ve read said that this is where SkateAmerica started to slip up on their end, not refunding people properly or sending them wrong items in place of what they ordered and was actually out of stock. None of that happened for me. I was charged the full amount at first, and then partially refunded 2 days later, without sending any emails or asking for my refund. The main reason I ordered was for the shoes, but in the end I still got a hoodie, tank top, T-shirt and socks for a great deal.... Read More

If I could give zero stars I would. Terrible customer service. Bought a helmet for my son. It was stolen from a locked parcel locker. I contacted the company to request they send another or file the claim with the USPS as they have all the postage purchase/insurance information. They said "Too bad so sad, not our problem" by more than one individual at the "company." Will never shop here again and you should be very wary of their poor customer service.

I was skeptical!! Reading all these bad reviews almost had me not making a purchase.but I had to have that sweater lol and I'm glad I did !! I had zero problems.shipping was super fast and it was exactly what I ordered so don't believe everything you read just do it!! Thanks skate America. You guys rock!!!!!

Some of the deals are good but customer service isn't helpful with requesting specific girptapes. They refuse unless you can actually go their physical store and are dicks about it. Was bounced around numerous times and ignored. Finally got answers after starting a new chat with a fake name. The person I spoke to in store before I placed my order was nice and confirmed what items they had in stock that I was looking for. I placed the order the next day and their web team basically told me too bad and that they won't sell me the grip I want even though they have it in stock.

They have a lot of really good stuff. Good deals. I went there to pick up my order for the first time. The staff was very helpful. I not only picked up my order but bought an awesome skateboard. I really like this place. I like that you can get stuff that you can no longer find anywhere else.

Don't bother to order online. Very slow shipping and if you receive the wrong items like I did (two wrong sizes out of two items). You will be lucky to get an apology. Oh yeah... and they will ask you for pictures. You know, because I enjoy wasting my time and theirs by returning things for no reason. After I contacted them, sent pictures, it still took days for them to email me my return label. Most company websites allow you to print one on your own or the company sends it with the package. Very disappointed and I will not order from them again. One more thing...they sent a hat in a bag instead of a box. Not only was it the wrong size, it was smashed! Ugh!
