**Review for [Hotel Name]:**Had a delightful one-night stay here! The hotel boasts an unbeatable location, placing you right next to all major attractions - very walkable. My room was clean, complemented with a variety of beverages and snacks. The staff was warm and welcoming, making my stay even more pleasant. I especially appreciated the quiet and efficient air conditioning after a hot summer's day out. The bathroom was generously stocked with essential toiletries, and the complimentary breakfast the next morning was a cherry on top! Highly recommend for both comfort and affordability. Will definitely return!

They say that no 2 rooms are the same and boy is that true! We changed rooms after the first night, so this score is reflective of the 2nd room The building utilizes old a school European architecture style, which creates odd angles and spaces inside. Our first room was oddly shaped and small. The bathroom was dark and awkward. The sink was next to the bed while in the bathroom you had a take 2 step up to get to either the shower and toilet. It was also very dark in the bathroom without a window and having dark brown tiles on the wall. And there was a smell. There was an overpowering air freshener smell but there was an undertone of musty mildew underneath. Over the course of the evening a new bitter smell crept in, like vomit. It seemed to be coming from the drain in the bathroom. My guess is backed up pipes. I brought this to Shellie's attention at the front desk and she moved us immediately. (She was awesome) The new room had a couple of awkward angles but it was mostly rectangular and the bathroom was completely contained in a separate room with no step up. It was clean, light and bright. We greatly appreciated the change and we were able to enjoy the rest of our stay. They also have a pretty good breakfast, complete with hot food (scrambled eggs, sausage) and of course, danishes. We will plan to stay here again if in Solvang, but we will be more mindful of requesting a more "normal" room.

We enjoyed our time in Solvang & we liked our stay at the Wine Valley Inn. The building had a very homely feel to it. Our room was clean, spacious & quiet. Loved the whole neoclassical architecture and Copenhagen vibes. Breakfast at the hotel was good. There's on-site parking & street parking everywhere. It was walking distance from everything. 10/10 would recommend!

Great location within solving walking distance to restaurants and other places. They need to be a little more courteous and explain the rules of housekeeping. We checked in along with our friends and we were never told they would not turn down our room or get us clean towels each day.According to the front desk, it's only upon request, which seems to be something new since COVID.Please be courteous and explain clearly to guests when checking in, that rooms are only turned down upon request. It is, that rooms are only turn down upon request. It could become frustrating when you go in the room at the end of the day and it's a mess and no fresh towels. This also happened to our friends and a few other guests.

Beautiful hotel with very kind service. Rooms have some normal wear and tear but I appreciate the design. The staff provided a water bottle, water bowl, dog treats and doggy bags just for my pup!Breakfast offerings were great with outdoor patio available. Loved the little individual packets of hot sauce and ketchup, it made bringing the breakfast back to our room super easy.Doors from other rooms slammed quite loudly around midnight...not exactly the fault of the hotel I guess. You will also hear the other guests talking while passing by the room if you are situated in the hall on the first floor under the stairwell. Small parking lot and street parking available.

I had such a great time staying at this hotel for my mom's birthday in January. It also happened to coincide with restaurant week for solvang, which means that we got to experience a lot of amazing restaurants within walking distance. The price was really reasonable, but what shocked us was how cheap the bottles of wine and water bottles in the room were. A bottle of wine was like 18 dollars, and the water bottle was like 4.Complimentary breakfast in the morning was your standard hotel assortment. Scrambled eggs, sausage, yogurt, etc.But it was clean and nice and cute.I would definitely stay here again when visiting solvang.

I wanted to treat my wife to a romantic getaway. We loved Solvang last time we visited, so I took a shot on Wine Valley Inn & Cottages. After reading previous reviews, I decided to splurge and rent a cottage instead of a room. I'm so glad I did because we had an awesome stay!Check-in was a breeze. The parking directions were kind of complicated, but we were pretty beat from the two hour drive and it turned out to be simple. They have two parking lots behind the inn - one for the hotel rooms and a smaller one for the cottages (both directly next to each other). We never had to worry about parking but then again, one rarely needs to when in Solvang as everything is within walking distance! We stayed in Cottage #4 and were immediately blown away! Everything is upstairs, so if you're disabled you're going to need one of their ADA cottages (which apparently they do have). Our cottage was so spacious and cute that my wife blurted out "are you trying to get me pregnant?" There are 3 beds in total so plenty of space for families or groups (one king sized bedroom, one double next to the stairs, and a sofa bed in the living room). They have a fully stocked kitchenette! Pots/pans, plates/bowls, silverware, cups/wine glasses, etc. - you honestly have everything you need if you want to save some money and cook yourself! There's no full oven though so it's a cook-top, but it was nice to have a home-cooked meal. We made pasta and garlic bread - we accidentally burnt the bread and forgot to open the windows so the fire alarm went off briefly (super sorry everyone!). There's also a wonderful fireplace in the living room so you can be nice and cozy! The cottages have their own little garden area outside and it's so nice during the day and night (they even have a koi pond). There's also an outdoor fireplace if you want to take a breather from your room. The only slight negatives are that the walls are slightly thin in some areas and some windows have a view directly into other rooms across the way (if their windows are open as well). Honestly though, neither were deal breakers and they were really non-issues (just remember to shut the windows in the bathroom or you'll give everyone a show!).We loved our stay at Wine Valley Inn & Cottages and couldn't be happier with everything. If you're staying in Solvang, definitely check them out and most definitely get a cottage!

I recently stayed at the Wine Valley Inn and had a fantastic experience. The room was not only spacious, but also had a beautiful fireplace that added to the cozy ambiance. Additionally, the location of the inn was very convenient as it was within walking distance of downtown.I was particularly impressed with the friendly and accommodating staff who made our rainy arrival day more comfortable. Overall, I would highly recommend Wine Valley Inn for anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Thank you to the staff for a lovely experience.

This is my go to place to stay in Solvang. They are dog friendly but I would only stay in the cottages. I tried the rooms once and it was like you were just living in dog pee. The customer service is outstanding and the breakfast is included. It's not not good, so I would save room for real food in the town.

This is a great place to stay in Solvang in Santa Barbara county. Solvang is a small Danish city next to Santa Ynez wine country. It is full of wine bars, Danish bakeries, small shops, and restaurants just walking distance of this hotel. It is so close to everything. I was so happy to have stayed here. Our room was upstairs in the corner. There was no elevator. The room was nice, clean, beds was really comfortable with lots of pillows, bathroom was nice, it had a small fridge with snacks and cold drinks for purchase. There was an iron and hair dryer provided and small closet with a tall mirror which I liked. Parking was provided for free. Full breakfast was provided for free that included baked pastries from the local bakery. They had an outdoor courtyard that had seating with a fireplace that was nice. Staff was really nice also. They also have a wine tour and hotel package deal when staying here and it was so worth it. When booking again on your next hotel visit you'll get a 15% off discount. Overall I will stay here again definitely when I visit Solvang.

My sister and I very much enjoyed our stay at Wine Valley Inn and Cottages. The pros: It was in a fantastic location, walking distance to the Solvang shopping district. We spent an entire day there doing wine and beer tasting, food tasting, and shopping! The hotel gave us a bunch of 2 for 1 tasting coupons which was really helpful. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. It was also really nice to be able to come back to the hotel to get sweaters/drop off shopping bags, etc. The grounds of the hotel were quaint and especially gorgeous at night while all lit up.Our room was very spacious. We had the tower two-queen bed room, and it had a fireplace and attached bunk bed room, which would be convenient if traveling with kids (although we were both ecstatic to get a break from parenting for the weekend- hah). The temp in the room was easy to control. It stayed nice and warm on this cold weekend. The fireplace was a cozy touch, and we just asked for a new duraflame each evening at the front desk. There were plenty of choices for breakfast. The eggs were pretty good. Lots of pastry choices! Nice tea and coffee selection. The fitness room was great, and I had it all to myself on the mornings I used it. It had a Peloton, and plenty of free weights and medicine balls. Cons: as other reviews have stated, it was pretty noisy. The walls are thin, and we could hear people above us pretty easily. Fortunately we tend to go to bed early and get up early, so it wasn't too much of an issue for us. The vanity area on the sink in the bathroom wasn't big enough to actually store our toiletries and makeup on. We used the side table, but it was a little inconvenient. It was overall a spacious bathroom, so it seemed an odd choice to have such a weirdly small sink storage area. The lighting in the bathroom was good, but the lighting in other areas of the room weren't great, which was inconvenient while both my sister and I were trying to get our hair and makeup done (yes, this is a vain complaint, but lives with small kids means we don't get lots of chances to dress up, hah). I'm sure this was because our room was situated above the breakfast room, but... it smelled like breakfast each morning. And not in a good way, honestly. The breakfast sausage was BAD. Like, I tried it just to try it, it was inedible. And that's what our room smelled like, albeit not too strongly and we got past it. But it had my sister considering burning a candle in there. The breakfast had enough selection that we were far from going hungry, BUT the sausage and hash browns were both inexcusably bad. Everything else was fine to good. Overall we had a great time and would book this hotel again, but we will probably look into the cottages!

The cottages at the Wine Valley Inn & Cottages are next level charming and special to stay in during any trip. The one we had donned a gorgeous oak tree, a lovely fireplace, a private courtyard with jacuzzi outdoors and 2-level interior with fun touches all throughout the cottage. It was fun having a toilet that flushed by pulling a chain or a bird knocker on the front cottage door - wonderful experience!

It was ok. We had a 2 story suite and it was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was very small and the vanity was basically in the living room. There didn’t seem to be many great options in the area. It’s not a luxury place and is cute on the outside. The breakfast was meh. Would stay somewhere else next time but it wasn’t bad.
