DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACYTheir notification system is broken. In back to back months I almost ran out of medications due to this pharmacy refusing prescriptions and not contacting me or my doctor in any way shape or form about doing so, leaving us to scramble to rectify (again, with no communication from the Pharmacy about how to do so or if our efforts were successful).Most of the Pharmacy techs are super nice and helpful but the whole thing is so dysfunctional. I used to think Safeway Pharmacy had a pretty solid reputation until I came here.

The hot food area determines price by weighing on a scale. The workers there do not understand when you give them weights.Asking for 1/4 lb nets you almost 1.5lbs.Asking for less then causes the worker to get angry and demand a specific amount of potato wedges.I gave the amount, they dont understand weights or fractions.

I went to the Starbuck inside the Safeway today 12/27/2022 at 8:00Am . Address : 785 E El Camino Real, Sunnyvale, CA 94087 I got in line and waited to see the cashier. At this time there was only 1 girl working at the station and behind me was 2 women. They looked like customers. She wore a sweater and short pants and carried a bumbag. It's finally my turn and said to the cashier that I was there last night but there was no starbucks employee working. I asked the safeway employee if I can purchase 2 tumblers at full price and return it the following day to get the holiday discount, which is 30%off and couple stars, to redeem a free cup. The safeway employee told me she had an idea: which is to put the tumblers underneath the shelf, inside the bottom cabinet and to return tomorrow and tell the starbucks employee that it was saved for me. Well, I came back the next day and told the starbucks employee what I was doing, which was grab the cups from the cabinet and she said ok. Anyways, I don't think she understood what I was doing, even after I told her and she said yes. She ran after me to take the tumblers like I was doing something shady. The woman dressed like a civilian behind me came up to me and told me what I was doing was wrong because the cabinet is for starbucks business only. Only employees can access it. I told her it wasn't my idea it was a safeway employee that told me to put it there and to grab it when starbucks was open. The woman refused to listen to any reason and accused me of doing something very shady. And all for 2 cups. She then told the cashier to call the starbucks store manager because she didn't believe me. She wanted to confirm it wasn't reserved for anyone else. After the call the cashier told me to come back tomorrow and see a manager. That would mean I would have to return to this place for 3 days in a row for 2 cups. Such a waste of my time and energy. The woman or safeway manager finally accepted to sell it to me but only after treating me like a criminal. I told her. The way you're talking to me , letting me wait and call the starbuck store manager to confirm 2 tumblers was a mess . You treat me like im stealing or a thief in your store. I'm not stupid to do this right in the front of your guys eyes and also the idea was not my mine. If I want to hide , I hide somewhere else in the Safeway, not in the starbuck area , and then get yelled at like this. The woman told me with a strong voice. " You think what you think. I'm the Safeway store manager and I have a right and power to tell the cashier to stop selling you the 2 tumblers" I was getting so tired on my 1st day of myperiod . I have to try to come back early in the morning , in the raining day so cold ,windy. To receive the demeaning talk from the starbucks employee and safeway employee. I'm a customer , I didn't beg them to give me anything for free, but they treat me like trash. I can purchase the full amount , come back and return and buy again to get the good deal like how they do it at Target . I didn't do it , because I was naive, and first time purchasing and thinking about returning to Safeway , and I listened to the advice from a safeway employee who I met the night of 12/26. They drag me down so much. I can't forget what they did to me , treating me in front of other customers like that. Like a thief.. We are human , and just celebrated a holiday with family and friends on Christmas . Also This week is a holiday week , the month at the end of the year . I thought everyone would be happy . Meet and say with the other people you meet with a smile and say hi I wish you a happy new year something like that . Can not imagine they are like the devil and treating people like low levels and they are on top . Manager starbuck , manager safeway store. I don't respect the position , or level you are. I'm impressed most by people with a kind heart and how they treat other people around them .

Worse service in Sunnyvale are after 11:00 pm , no cashiers available... I asked for a cashier to one of the guys who was stocking the merchandise on isle and I was totally ignored, thanks Safeway I been a loyal costumer for many years , but no more . The reason why? Is because this is not the first time and to be honest won't happen to me again .

It's the closest Safeway to my house so it means a lot to me that it's a great store. What I like: *FRIENDLY: I seem to come across the friendliness folks here and also at in the Scott's Valley location. *CARTS & BASKETS: Always available, unlike the El Camino store, which will run out while using tons in the store to stock sales. *HELPFUL: When I can't find something, they help me every time, with a smile. This applies to every department I've frequented. *CLEAN: During Covid, this store constantly cleaned their carts. Not all stores did. Honestly, I don't care that stores didn't do this since places had wipes available but, choosing to do it is a sign of a store that really cares. Lucky is slightly closer, but not as easily maneuverable and over all are not as strong on the positives as this store, so I come here. POINT OF VIEW: Someone commented on outdated milk and how outrageous it was to find it and on behalf of all stores, I'm going to disagree. While any store needs to do their best to rotate product, the reality is that stores can have 15,000 to 60,000 individual products/variations (I googled it) so it's completely unrealistic to expect an occasional oversight! This is why I'd never put something in my cart with a short expiration date without first checking myself, because it's important to me. If I was in a hurry and discovered an issue later, I'd simply return it with no criticism. This would ONLY be a concern if this were a constant experience in a given store.

Got another surly treatment at the Sunnyvale meat/seafood counter this afternoon. Woman who works that area Sunday noon does NOT want customer interruptions. Not super rude, just mildly rude, but it leaves you with a bad experience that you probably want to avoid. Happened a few times this year with that same person, and guy after me got the same treatment, so I will avoid weekends. Good store otherwise; I do most of my shopping there and generally happy with store and staff. 785 E El Camino Real, Sunnyvale, CA.

My grocery order was delivered to the wrong condo unit. A neighbor brought it over 1 1/2 hr later, with 2 cartons of ice cream ruined. Safeway refused to reimburse me for damages, which amounted to $12.50. I've been a loyal customer for 45 years. Because the store didn't stand behind their services, I will shop elsewhere.

Overall it's a pretty average Safeway. But the cashier Yatin is extremely rude imo. I didn't do anything wrong and he treated me terribly.

Honestly, as a young black man I know people look at me and make judgments, but the experience I had at this Safeway location made me extremely uncomfortable and has prompted me to make the decision to visit this location anymore. I usually use the self-checkout kiosks on a regular basis as this is the fastest way to get in and out, during this particular early morning visit I was followed through out the store while shopping by a large Hispanic woman, adding insult to injury, as I proceeded to one of the self-checkout kiosks she promptly yells at another employee while standing behind me, "Daniella make sure you watch self-checkout." I have never been more uncomfortable or embarrassed in my entire life as there were other shoppers, not of color, who weren't being followed or made to feel uncomfortable. I would visit this location regularly as it is very close to my home, but unfortunately I will not be returning to this location. Horrible job Safeway. NOT EVERYONE IS A THIEF.
