Our Kindergarten class was given the opportunity to take a field trip to this Safeway, and the manager and staff (Khider & Josie as well as others) were so friendly and helpful, and we were so impressed by their organization and interactiveness. The store was very clean and orderly, and the kids had a great time. Really appreciated the store making the time and effort to show the kids something that's a part of the community!

Safeway bought Andronico's where my son JJ works as a Courtesy Clerk. He used to work at the downtown Los Altos store. Andronico's is near our house and JJ just loves working here. The staff are helpful and this store carries all the items we need. Say Hi to JJ - he will love to take care of your purchases.

Whoever the manager was this morning was so rude. He followed me and my husband around the store while we were trying to shop like for what? Its hard for me to walk sometimes and it can take me a while to get to what i want around the store, and the entire time it was super uncomfortable. When we went towards check out he stood right behind us then watched us as we went and paid. Hella rude for no reason.

Checker Alfredo V really needs to work on his customer service skills. I was really appalled at his manner as he was literally throwing my groceries into the plastic bag that I paid for.He also had very sour face as he was checking me out. It really sad to see how bad this store really is now .

Contacted Safeway as suggested, but no response. I guess they think showing concern will make the review less damaging. Update: Safeway now says to reach out to them again. They have had their chance and lost all credibility, so no.

THIS IS THE WORST SAFEWAY I'VE BEEN TO! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ABSOLUTE TRASH! ZERO STARS! DO NOT ORDER YOUR CAKE HERE! I called the bakery Friday to place a cake order at 3:30-4pm. I gave the name that I wanted on the cake. And I EVEN spelt it out 3 TIMES for her!! When I went to go pick my order up around 10:30pm, it was spelt incorrectly. It was spelt THALIA. I told the guy that I will come back the next morning hoping the cake will be fixed. The next morning, my sister called to make sure the cake was there. Apparently, it wasn't. So she reordered a whole new cake. She asked for white and fresh strawberries cake with pink and purple balloons with streamers. When I went to go pick it up at 11:30am, the name was spelt correctly on the order, BUT INCORRECTLY ON THE CAKE!! And the streamers on the cake looked like a 5 year old did it. It was a complete mess. The cake decorator heard my complaint and decided to go on break. The store manager at the time (11:30am) heard my complaint and refused to fix any of it. They fixed the name, but refused to do anything. HE DID NOT EVEN APOLOGIZE ABOUT THE 3 TIMES THEY MADE A MISTAKE! RIDICULOUS! This will also be going on every review page I can find, because my experience was that bad. Do better Safeway!!! Especially this exact location. The name Calia is seriously not that hard to spell.

That's my goto grocery place. Frequent things I buy - organic chicken, wild caught salmon, fresh organic veggies. Deli has great options of cooked food - chicken breast, kale mango salad, chicken Chinese salad, fresh sushi. They also have tons of keto items - bread, cookies, icecream, flour. Little pricey but one stop shop.

This Safeway Deli and meat department has some of the rudest employees I have met for any Safeway in a long time.. Very rude with me during my last 3 interactions there. SEEMED LIKE THEY HATED THEIR JOBS AND DONT WANT TO BE THERE SO THEY TAKE IT OUT ON THE CUSTOMERS!!! NOT NICE!

This is about produce. Because when I go here the people are kind I don't have any issues. (Although I did have an interesting moment when a cashier called me a man..."Hello sir") now granted I was wearing baggy clothing with a durag on. But what can I expect in the Silicon Valley suburbs. LOL Sooooo I'm typically a lot more bougie with my produce. I'm a farmers market girl and if I can't hit the market I'm doing sprouts/Whole Foods but this store is walking distance as my car has been giving me issues. Their produce SUCKS. I've bought a lot of produce from them in recent times and I swear everytime I cut into something there's an issue. Tonight I was cutting sweet potato with the intent to roast them and there's like black moldy? Or dead? (Idk) spots all over and this is from the organic section! Also I bought some mini watermelons I cut into them and boom - soft just rotten. It's annoying because it's like damn... I'm on a cleanse so I'm juicing the things I buy - and I'm like this is what I get for sleeping in on Sat and missing the glorious farmers market that occurs in Sunnyvale. Long story short ; the produce here is questionable and unreliable proceed with caution. This is based off of me buying multiple items and cutting into them and having issues on MULTIPLE occasions. I initially have grace because I was like ehhh things happen can we expect them to be able to see inside of the produce but now I'm convinced the reason why prices are reasonable is because they're selling hand me down produce... Won't be buying produce from them anymore.

Maybe it's because it's the holiday season or maybe it's like this always...the staff was super helpful. I was looking for something specific and the lady was not able to find it initially. She then called another colleague and they were able to figure it out together and took me over to it. So nice! Thank you kind people. Rock on!

This store use to be great. In the last two years it has gone downhill. The employees are lacking in customer service skills, they take NO ACCOUNTABILITY when they make a mistake. The store manager's takes a genuine concern as a personally attack, has poor listening skills & the issue never gets resolved. Several customers that have been shopping here are now driving out of their way to shop at another store. The older crew Korrey, Kyle, Jude, Kevin, Tamara, Ashley, Jeff, Rod and a couple others still wonderful to interact with. A lot of the employees don't speak English and are poorly trained when you ask where something is they say "I don't know I just started working here." The employee moral is awful some of the people literally complain about other employees & the store manager to customers which is unprofessional and sad.
