I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THIS REVIEW KEEPS DISAPPEARING?I'M ALSO CURIOUS WHY DID YOU HAVE ME DO ALL THE BLOOD WORK TO MAKE SURE MY DOG WAS HEALTHY ENOUGH TO HAVE THE DENTAL WORK DONE AND THEN NEVER WOULD MAKE THE APPOINTMENT FOR THE DENTAL WORK THAT WAS A LOT OF MONEY.I've gone here twice and after my second appt. I left there VERY confused and frustrated. My chihuahua had an infection due to some teeth needing to be pulled out the first appointment she was given antibiotics to treat the infection about three or four days later I took her in for her appointment and at that time they took her blood and a urine sample for making sure that she was healthy enough to be put under and have dental work done soon.Attached this appointment I asked to have her nails trimmed and reluctantly the vet agreed to go ahead and trim her nails when they gave me my dog back they sat her in my lap and she was soaking wet with rubbing alcohol so much so it got my pants wet the only explanation was "oh she's wet with rubbing alcohol" as the girl walked quickly out the door. There's much more to this appointment that left me extremely frustrated one being when trimming her nails they missed one of her two claws she was soaking wet with rubbing alcohol and the vet never even came back into the room to talk to me further about making plans for the dental surgery. Before leaving I realized they had not taken my dog's temperature which I was curious to know if her fever that she had when in emergency had responded with the antibiotics they prescribed. I asked the technician if they took my dog's temperature while she was in the back having blood drawnI asked technician if they took her temperature while in the back having her blood drawn she said I'm sure they did they always do I asked if she could find out what the temp was because I was curious to know if the infection was subsiding she comes back and says no they didn't your dog is high risk because she tried to bite them I responded with well they took her blood and urine as well as trimmed her nails the technicians response was I'm just telling you what they told me ?After letting several days go by and my frustration and anger calm down I called the vet that I saw and spoke with her directly to let her in a lengthy conversation in regards to my frustrations and concerns about the above appointment. After speaking to the vet I felt better about letting her know how that appointment went and she thanked me for the feedback and we talked about going ahead and having the dental work appointment made she promised to send me an estimate that night or no later than the following morning and please stay by my phone because the office would be calling within a few minutes to make the appointment for dental work we spoke on the 19th of October and it is now the 23rd I have not received a estimate nor have I received a phone call and that really disappointed me I thought that I was going about the situation and my frustrations and concerns in a mature manner instead of just doing a crappy review and not talking to the vet directly. Apparently my dog's care nor my business or money is important to acorn hills animal center and that's really disappointing.

Acorn Hills got me an appointment quickly. The doctor is kind and took her time with both me and my pooch. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Prices are fair.

The best place to take your dog that ate something he wasn’t supposed to. This was the second time that our dog needed surgery. This was so much better than the first surgery in Modesto. Plus this was a more complicated and his recovery was better. Incredible Doctor and attendants. I can’t thank you enough.

I would not recommend the use of this organization to anyone! The staff is argumentative, rude and unprofessional. After waiting for 5 days to receive a prescription That was supposed to be filled within 24 to 7

Worst experience I’ve ever had with a business. Dr. Pillsbury should have her license revoked. Highly recommend not using this facility unless you want to call for an emergency and get hung up on twice!!!!!!!

My Chihuahua that I inherited after my parents passed away is having seizures. I called Acorn Hills' emergency line. I was told it would be $230 just to be seen, no tests or anything else, just to walk in, but that probably wouldn't happen because they're too full.In other words, they charge for the stay, the doctor won't be back until regular business hours and my parents' dog has to suffer through seizures until regular business hours.

Alison was so attentive and responsive to my concerns and offered options while discussing dental care needs for aging dog. I can always count on excellent service.

This place doesn't have the right to call themselves a vet hospital or a 24 hour emergency. I had an emergency last night and badly needed their help. I offered money anything to help put this dog that I found out of his misery. They did not care and told me they had no one to help us. I showed up to their facility and could see people in there. They proceeded to tell us they wouldn't take him in and put him down because there was no one on call. Now they have a huge sign that says 24 hour emergency vet but they don't have someone there 24 hours to help with our communities emergency's. This place doesn't even get 1 star in my opinion. Heartless people if you ask me. I would never reach out to them for help again.
