The phone system is inefficient and unhelpful and takes too long to navigate for no information. When you have to call multiple times this gets extremely frustrating and irritating. The pharmacy staff seems pretty apathetic and are not sympathetic or helpful in trying to assist you which is a huge problem when you're trying to get medication quickly.

My husband and I stopped in to purchase some items and ended up finding everything we needed, including scissors to open one of the said items lol! I would HIGHLY recommend this nice location, located in Tahoe City! They deserve more stars!! The staff member helping us was very personable and the store was well organized and stocked! We'll definitely be returning to purchase more items next time we stay somewhere without the basic toiletries! SYOY! :-)

Worst pharmacy I've ever experienced. Disorganized, slow and impossible to get a hold of. Even the other pharmacies in the area say it's impossible to get a hold of them in order to get things transferred and recommend an entirely new doctors visit instead. I hate writing bad reviews ...but just save yourself the headache and go somewhere else

We are not locals and on a trip to Tahoe ended up needing to unexpectedly get a prescription filled. Most pharmacies in the north Tahoe area get poor reviews so I was a little concerned. However, I was pleasantly surprised with excellent service from Shivani. I arrived shortly after they opened and since they weren't busy she went ahead and filled my prescription in the spot. In and out in 5 minutes.

This pharmacy is a bad joke. After moving here and having my prescriptions transferred to this location, I have had nothing but problems. I started getting text messages that I had prescriptions ready in other locations and states that I have never even been to. I have tried to call this place over 10 times, only to sit on hold for over an hour before giving up because NOBODY answers the phone. I finally went there today after getting a text that I had three scripts ready for pick up and when I got there, they said they didn't have any for me. When I told them about the texts I am getting from CVS from other states about my prescription ready for pick up, they told me to call the 800 number! Really??? Like I need to spend another 10 hours on the phone trying to figure out their mess??? I also asked them if they could please fill the scripts that I drove all the way down here for while I wait because their text said it was ready and they told me no, that they would try to have it filled by 3pm. It's 11am! Now I have to come back down here which isn't close for me. It's unacceptable! I don't blame the staff that was there or the pharmacist but who ever the store manager is at this location should be fired! I have never had such a poor experience at a CVS. I will be choosing another pharmacy, one that answers the phone!

This place is criminal. My physician called in multiple days trying to get them to fill an RX for anaphylaxis. After coming in for the third time in one day after they acknowledged receipt of the RX the pharmacist refused to fill the RX and said he was going to send it to Truckee (a pharmacy that was already closed). Ended up in the ER that night due to anaphylactic shock and was intubated. This place needs to be shut down.

Nice, hardworking pharmacists but they need more help. Several days to fill Rx, long waits on the phone. The store manager needs to provide them a tech or store clerk to assist - pharmacists should not have to do it all. I will fill my Rx elsewhere in the future.

Notice how all the bad reviews come from people from out of town. Why can't these people get their prescriptions in their own town? Tahoe is overcrowded with tourist and low on locals due to a housing crisis. Every business including CVS is short on employees. Give these people a break and get your drugs in your home town. They are overworked, underpaid and tired of rude tourist.

I am speechless. Came to CVS to get the Covid vaccine after calling to confirm that they had it and they took walk ins. Arrived, waited awhile, told yes the had the vaccine but they had to get it ready and it would take 30 miniatures. After waiting over an hour and inquiring why it was taking so long, I was told I was rude and that they would not give me the vaccine! Unbelievable. Will never go here again. Went to Safeway and was in and out in minutes with a very pleasant experience.

I have never been in a worse or more frustrating pharmacy in my entire life. The pharmacists are literally the dumbest people that have ever existed and I think may literally be trying to ruin people's days and keep them from getting their medicine. Go to literally any other pharmacy in the world if you don't want to waste an hour of your life dealing with unparalleled incompetency.

After 45 years of living in Lake Tahoe and being a faithful customer of Longs Drugs/CVS I have never been so disappointed in their pharmacy services as I am now. To expect someone that is in severe pain to have to wait for over a week to get a medication filled is sadistic! With no answer as to when the prescription could be filled, only advising to go somewhere else to get it filled sooner, proves a real lack in the service that they are suppose to be providing. I hold no blame to the local store but to the insufficiency of good business practice at the corporate level.

Absolutely the worst pharmacy ever. I am a physician and the pharmacist paged me. I called back right away and waited on hold for over a half hour only be to be told that the pharmacist is at lunch. I called back again two hours later and have been on hold for over an hour. I have called the patient and told her absolutely not to ever use this pharmacy ever again. What is the purpose of having a phone number that says if you are a healthcare provider press this number if they are not planning to answer!

Not only has communication of the availability of my prescriptions been incorrect nearly every single time, they're also incredibly rude and incompetent. Especially the pharmacy tech, who has no care about the fact that she's in an occupation where she's there to help the community. If I could give this pharmacy a 1 star I would.
