I drive by this place every day and decided to stop in and see what they had. They have a really nice deli counter that has sandwiches, soups, chili and beans, and even fresh drip coffee. A deli case with desserts I met Kim, Gigi and Jayme, all very nice and helpful. The place was Poppin. Nonstop customers and watching the workers just handle everybody's request, get them their needs and still be able to reply with a smile. There was a 3rd person making the food orders that I didn't get a chance to talk to as she was busy fixing all the foods (pretty sure she was the manager) So much packed in this little shop. A tiny condiment counter to fix your fresh drip coffee. Menu has some awesome looking sandwiches, pizza and stuff.What I ordered:Fresh brewed coffeeChili beansCoffee was great, Chili-beans a little on the pricey sidestill taste great.

My friends and I needed to pick up a couple extra things that our air bnb was running low on and saw that Z marketplace was pretty close by. We were impressed by the selection inside covering all the necessities from bathroom supplies to quick deli options and plenty of snacks. Prices were also very fair. We also saw that they had a deli for sandwiches and made pizzas to order so we had to try one, right? The pepperoni pizza was definitely a great choice. The crust was crisp and had a nice chew. Cheese was ooey gooey and they were generous with the pepperoni. It definitely hit the spot after our short hike to get there.Staff was also incredibly friendly and there is a parking lot so that's convenient if you have a car. All in all, it was a great little find!

Visiting for the weekend and it was close by, glad stopped in. Love local spots like this, sandwiches, breakfast burritos and chicken were all really good. Great selection and quality.

We love Z Market! They always have very fresh and tasty options. Perfect for a blizzard day when we can't leave town. The desserts were fabulous! Our only complaint is that they closed the deli while we were in line. But, we still got a great meal. Thanks!

I can't believe I haven't made a post for z market. I tend to do this often unfortunately though, go to a place frequently and forget to make a review. So the z market is a nice place up in Tahoe Donner. Has some great options for food as well as any snacks or whatever. You know just your regular market. However which shines through is the deli. I can't tell you how helpful it has been in the past to be able to go to the market and get a gluten-free whatever sandwich. They're really good about having gluten free bread on hand. I will be honest it's been a couple months since I've been there but I doubt things have changed. It is a bit pricier because they are up the hill, but you're going to find some stuff that you might not find anywhere else. I husband actually loves it when they have the chicken or egg salads available. Worth stopping in just remember it's going to be a bit pricey compared to the grocery store.

This place is worth the drive from the freeway. We came in on September 29 hoping to get a few items for our camping trip and a few sandwiches. They had a nice selection of liquor/beers and the sandwiches they made were delicious. They gave us a box to carry our stuff and we ate at the picnic tables while our pup did her business. Nice low key spot and clean restrooms.

This place is integral to our neighborhood. Everything from local meats to gourmet ice cream, or tequila to kombucha. They make great coffee and breakfast burritos in the morning. Sandwiches for your daily hike or picnic. An authentic neighborhood market.

Love this place! Great store, and solid selection for its size!A little pricier than going all the way into town, but the convenience is worth it, and the customer service is usually very good.

Per usual around Truckee, the prices are high. This however is a great neighborhood place to get a Sammie or a pizza if you don't want to drive down Northwoods and your nearby Z.The staff is cool and laidback.Busy at lunchtime.

Wow... For such a little space they have more options to feed that grumpy tummy than most big grocers. Nice people working there. Sometime Very busy. Sandwiches are crazy good!

Their sandwiches were great and they even had gluten free options that were delicious, this is a great place to grab a quick bite on the way to golf or snacks for the road.

We stopped at Z Marketplace on our way to Idaho from the Bay Area. They have fresh, ready-made sandwiches that they will warm and panini grill. They were fabulous. My husband had the bacon breakfast sandwich and I had the turkey sausage. Quality ingredients and very filling. We also had an oatmeal cookie that was great. They are located about 3 miles off the main road in Truckee. Worth the stop!

I work in the area so I’ve noticed the quality drop at this place rapidly. Stale bread, expired packaged meats, WARM coolers. Gotta grab a drink from the lower rack if you want it cold. Oh, and ask for NO mustard on your BREAKFAST sandwich. I drive to town now unless I’m in a pinch anymore.

Convenient location when you don’t want to drive from your vacation home all the way into town. Good selection with all the basics and then some! Only downside is some of the food we recently bought turned out to be expired.

This place has really good sandwiches for the go and a lot of healthy organic snacks is pretty awesome I'll check it out soon if you're stuck up in Tahoe Donner and might even be in walking distance
