Unprofessional, inconsistent, and misleading experience.
I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with this dealership was unacceptable and deserves to be known.
I was negotiating on a used 2018 Mustang GT PP2 where we agreed on the price multiple times, including a final “all-in” number ($39000 OTD) before tax/title. Everything seemed settled until the dealership suddenly reversed their position and insisted on running a credit check even after confirming in writing and verbally that no credit pull would be required since I was using my own financing.
They justified this change by implying they needed to verify I “wasn’t a scammer,” which was unnecessary, unprofessional, and frankly insulting. Despite already having provided ID, address, and being fully prepared to complete the purchase, the dealership stalled, contradicted themselves, and ultimately went silent for nearly a week after they reached out to revive the deal.
If they no longer wanted to honor the agreed terms, they could have simply communicated that. Instead, they wasted significant time, caused me to pay for an inspection that became unnecessary, and then disappeared without closure.
This dealership lacks transparency, consistency, and basic professionalism. Buyers deserve better. Proceed with caution.

They worked fast I bought my car last year used September 2024 still with manufacturer warranty. Engine was replaced due to assembly issues. Nothing they did. 4 stars however because they stated on the car price and details paper on the car ‘4 continental tires’. Well this year, September 2025, one pops because of a pot hole. I go shopping for new a replacement the same brand tire and it is pointed out to me by a tire tech 3 (1 that popped) were continental. The other was off brand suredrive. So double check before you buy. Match every detail of that paper to what they are stating the car has. They probably still have pictures of my car and will see it in the file that the detail was missed. You trust the dealership to state every detail of what your buying correctly to match the price, I don’t think this was on purpose but a little upsetting since it took me a year to figure out.

We have been a Chevy family for years, father was a retiree.
We have always have owned only Chevys.
So we have dealt with plenty of salespersons...but Jacob Glover made us/ daughter feel welcomed and like family.
Our daughter purchased her first car on her own and Jacob made the whole process very easy.
We have been to many different Chevrolet dealerships for our vehicle purchases, but the staff ( Darrell, Jacob and Kerri) at Smith Chevrolet hands down best experience 10 stars if could be given.

Smith Chevrolet of Turlock was a very pleasant experience. I felt like I was going into my best friends dealership many years ago, which was very successful in Manteca. They treated me like I was family. The atmosphere was calm and soothing, and they also fed me lunch everything was explained to me on the purchase. I was very glad I chose Smith Chevrolet.

Eva is the best, i wanted a traverse with captain seats and saw one on friday but was a little out of budget she tried to get us the best deal she could. The truck ended up selling to someone else. She said she would get another traverse in 3 to 4 weeks and 2 days later monday morning sent me photos of the traverse we got!! she made it happen, she got us a amazing deal on it capitan seats and leather. it was truly meant to be for us, i knew she would get us in something, soon and make it happen for us… she is the best!!! she cares about her costumers, she is super patient and transparent with everything! we closed our deal quick and smoothly.. we have already purchased 2 cars with her and so has more of our family members!!! will always come to her for our car needs 🤍 thank you Eva!!!

I brought my pickup into Smith Chevrolet, after another dealer had told me my oil leaks were the main seal and the oil pan. Neither was true. The oil leak was properly diagnosed by the mechanic at Smith Chevrolet as the oil cooling lines. Problem fixed quickly and a lot less expensive than the other dealers estimate. Very happy I went to Smith Chevrolet!

Terrible service department was not informed of cost prior to having my vehicle checked to see of Warrienty would cover my vehicle. When I found that warranty would not cover damage they charged me 189.00 do to my dissatisfaction the charged me only half of the 189.00. Overall terrible service and I will not be going back.

Cesar the salesman was friendly and quick was able to get me a full price breakdown over the phone and a good deal which made it possible for me to buy a vehicle that same day. I called several local dealerships in my area before going here with no results other dealers would not get back to me or would not even give me a estimate quote over the phone. Cesar gave me a very good deal once I got there and the car buying process was quick as well. Ramiro was able to fix a minor issue I had with the paint that was damaged and get it fixed quickly and even got me a loaner while my car was being fixed and even delivered to me which I live over an hour away. They kept me updated I would highly recommend this dealer over any other dealerships which I have already attempted to buy a car from with no positive results.

This is the only dealership we take our vehicle to for services / anything else needed. Have been going here for over 15 years. We have the same mechanic work on our suv and request him by name. Cary Dent is very knowledgeable and quick to tell you what your car needs. He is the reason we go to Smith Chevrolet ! It's a great dealership all around.
